just so happends i had a job cancel on me tonight. check your PM's mate.
-
lol look at the front one tho, that would be rolling on like the outer 2cm of the wall haha, the ones on the other side were on the same angle as the rear right one lol.seriously tho im perplexed how one does that.i mean on one side is understandable but on both sides!!!
-
lol a few of us guys from seaford/hackham etc were going to cruise up together but hey if theres going to be a meet stop off down our way even better haha! scott msg me if you wana meet us somewhere first or something.
-
lol i am familiar with this hey mitch ahaha. hey matty is that white 31 wagon in ur sig from down port noarlunga area? i recon its just round the corner from me! on my travels yesturday i spotted this.......how the Fcuk do u manage this!? all four wheels where like it too!
-
sorry to hear too mate! this is another reason why my shock sensor is set so sensitive that you only have to sneeze in the general vacinity of the car to set it off lol.
-
A well constructed sub box shouldnt be vibrating at all (or a very minamal amount),but the vibrations going through that bracket would be very little.sertainly not enough to hear a difference, the seccond you start the car and start driving any vibrations going through it would be cancelled out from the vibration of the road anyway. so in other words unless its really bugging you feel free to experiment but you probly wont notice a difference. well that makes alot more sence now!

madbung, i disagree to your argument that they cut you a different key for the boot lol.i think you are mistaken.every brand new car i have every worked on..and well come to think about it every single car i have ever worked on that i know has not had the locks replaced uses the same key for boot, ign, doors what ever its all the same key. now my own skyline and every other skyline i have worked on the boot and ign key are the SAME and they are all 100% factory not broken locks never been changed etc.

how does this relate to car audio or security? but your in the wrong section anyway. try your luck in the general area. Jack

yea 380 wrms is plenty to run a decent sub. i dont think you have much to be worried about, i mean a decent sub in an enclosure will only weigh a few KG. the last one of the installs i did in a 32 GTR was designing and building a box to fit inbetween the strut towers and sit flush with the boot seal. not a problem and managed to keep the strut brace installed too. this was with a middle of the range RF sub and the box and sub together only weighed about 6 - 10 kg max. spot on about the pre outs there! except there really isnt a use for a LP filter on the sub channel as your amp should have one built in but its up to you. if you want to have easier controll over the crossover set the one on the amp to flat out and use the one thats built into your head unit. where abouts are you located? ok you can put what ever you like in the rear.its really only for rear fill, you wont hear a whole lot from them anyway. thos splits and amp combo you have should sound pritty nice. dont bother trying to run 6.5"s as sub replacement, they will fail miserably in comparasen to even a cheap 10" woofer. cone area is not everything, alot of other parameters come into it such as xmax etc. simply put 6.5" woofers are just not designed to do what your asking of them. there are a few around which are such as some from adire audio extremis 6.5" drivers but good luck getting a hold of some as there distributor in victoria has gone MIA. you are far better off getting a cheap 10" or 12" sub in an enclosure and using quick connect aderson plugs so you can pull the box out as you need. and yes you can bridge channels 3 and 4 to run a sub and still run the channels 1 and 2 in stereo. how many pre outs does your headunit have too? EDIT: haha bet me to it kinks lol. Jack

Korean Designers Trying To Re-invent The Speed Hump
Jack88 replied to scathing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
EXCELENT IDEA! but why would the government spend $1000 on this smart speed bump (estimating here) to please a small group of enthusiests ( us ) when they can just spend $200 (again an estimate) on a slab of concrete. it would be awsome for these things to be used but i dont think its ever going to happen. -

Sa: Various R33 And R31 Parts
Jack88 replied to BrownyR31's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
dam not fast enough lol! oh well ill still grab the gear surroud. PM sent -
completly agree chris! there is nothing more that grinds my gears then someone saying that x brand craps all over this other brand when esentially the components used are the same! after working in the car audio industry for over 4 years i can tell you that you will have very very few of any name brand head unit come back with a fault that wasnt caused by a customer thinking they knew what they were doing or from miss use in some way. The only real difference from one brand to another is design ie looks and the features it has. now keep in mind that every name brand has a headunit within a few dollars of another name brands unit with basically the same features. My advice is to figure out exactly what features you want and then to compair units from different brands that meet your requirments once you have established a list of units that meet your needs then start compairing them on looks. Stagea_Neo: I dont know what clarion speakers you have been looking at but clarion have been using buytel surrounds in there entire range of splits for a rather long time now.its only there base range models that were using the paper composite surrounds. as of there current models, they all use buytel rubber surrounds now.
