Does RACV/VCAA not do compression tests in there inspections? Maybe i should go with someone else then?

Yeah, the insurance company would probably do all they could to get out of it, that's why i'm not gonna push the oil point, i mentioned it to them, and made a complaint to the council. The thing is, i don't want some long, dragged out investigation where i don't see my money for like a year. I need a car for uni. But yeah, pretty sure i'll be getting a 32-gtst I'm hoping for exhaust and maybe front and side grill/skirts, anything else would be a bonus.

Hey guys, i am a member with RACV road side assitance or whatever, so i get the monthly magazines delivered (or my parents do). Anyway, a while ago they had an offer where they would send you a free book on EVERYTHING you need to know when buying a new or used car. I ordered it and it is great. One of the things i noted was that if you buy a used car you have 3 days in which you can return it for whatever reason you want. So any problems, try to have them in 3 days Obviously not if you damage the car yourself but if there is a problem, they must give you a free refund (dealer or private).

So the cop thought a 32 gts-t was a high powered vehicle? God damnit. But he didn't do you for it? I'm trying to get confirmation from VicRoads that they know its under but they havn't replied to my email yet! :@

Just because a car has a turbo in it doesn't mean its over the power to weight ratio. A 180sx turbo is fine, so is a r32 gtst (1991-1993 model 2 door) in my understanding. No evidence ever gets shown for this on this forum though I'll give vicroads a call tommorow to make perfectly sure.

I turned a corner at about 20k under (yes under) the speed limit. Unbeknowns to me, there had been road works during the day and the speed limit had been reduced to 40, these signs had since been taken away. Furthermore there had been an oil spill that day which was covered with sand/sawdust. Unfortunately for me the signs had been taken away and the rain washed the sand/sawdust away so here i am travelling around a corner, with oil on the road, at night in the rain, going under the speed limit. Long story short my car got intimate with a tree. If i didn't have comprehensive insurance i would be suing the council/workers or SOMEONE for taking the speed signs and oil spill signs away. But i do, and behind every cloud and all that... so now i'm in the market for a skyline i think (form a lancer ). Don't know how much i have yet. Should find out soon. (by wednesday). Anywho. Just wanted to vent my splein Thanks guys, (PS any suggestions on car to buy, looking at between 9-11k, 12k pushing it a bit). Someone said you can't have a pod filter and an intercooler? That is only if the intercooler isn't stock isn't it? So if its a stock intercooler then you can have a pod filter as well?

I agree, its ridiculous that this site tries to protect the (seemingly) corrupt. If someone has a bad experience they should let others know, just like if they have a good experience. Any legitimate car dealerships would prefer this as they would get the business they deserve for being legitimate.

If your driving in the city/small frequent trips/lots of red lights its possible that your consumption could fall to a tank in 200k. 400k to a tank is with some freeway/normal driving. Lots of short trips with lots of stop/starting reduce this significantly.

You completely contradict yourself. A bb gun is not lethal. An M16 is. An Excel is lethal. A GTR is lethal. It is not a good comparision. A better one would have been an automatic vs. semi automatic rifle. Both deadly if used in such a way. But one worse.

Hey guys, i tried doing a search. I was hoping someone could give me an APPROXIMATE estimation of how much it would cost to tune a r33gtst (series II) to get it to around 200kw at the wheel. ANd maybe how much to get it to 230-250. Just wondering, like hypothetically if i took a skyline and a pile of cash to a mechanic/tuner and said make it so how much it would be. Thanks in advance.
