Thats my plan only problem is ive run out of time ehehe.... but i will ring up the DECC TO Get a Extension... By the way that guy in Granvile is a tool hes got no idea... he had no clue with my car all he said is this wont pass this wont pass.. E.G Ive got a aftermarket Plenum hes like na that wont pass I do have it engineered Mabye because it looked very shinny he thought of it as a hazard.. Like i said HE HAD NO IDEA THAT GUY..... I Called up the guy in cambeltown he sounded like he knew what was going on... Hope for the best... Did you have you Standard Air box when you done the Test ??

My EPA Defect Rectify Increased induction noise ( AIR FILTER ) Ensure all Emission Control Equipment Conforms with Manufacturers Specifications Large Intercooler Fitted Remove Variable Boost controller Waste Gate Actuator Arms Welded , Remove Welds These idiots got no Idea, My intercooler is actually Standard Size as a R32 GTR But its an aftermarket Firstly , My Mechanic told me The waste Gate Arms arnt welded that they dont know wats going on ( EPA ) , Boost controllers gone to get it passed . Emissions Tuning i am doing this week to get it passed. Emission test gets done at the RTA , Rest of the stuff gets cleared at a authorised workshop but there pricks. i Rang up one of them and told them i had built a filter box to get it passed which had been engineered and he told me it may not be good enough the DECC Is getting really tough.. When you hear stuff like this you get frustrated Knowing you paid a engineer to pass it and you dont know yourself if its going to help you at all.... . the engineer yes has passed it This is what he wrote : Aftermarket Front-Mounted Intercooler and Ducting Aftermarket Intake Plenum and Throttle Body A K & N Air Pod Filter Enclosed In a suitably Selected Air Box , With Cold Air Intake Shouldnt this be good enough ... Yeah jeff thanx for that, The guy at granville is a bit of a prick i did go there didnt get a test though as i havent done a emissions test as yet.My noise test will be fine though i do have the standard exsaust on there.. i did indeed call the guy at cambeltown i did have a chat to him Mainly about My Air filter Aluminium Box which i had somebody build for me. He told me its not up to us to decide the EPA office will decide But he was being negative about it, i do have an engineers Report for the Box but some people are saying even thats no good these days ( I READ A POST ABO BOB MADE ABOUT THE DECC I READ IT ALL :-( ).... . My question is if i do need to put the standard Air box on how will i do it . I am Running APEXI D-JETRO Which runs Without Air Flow metres ? and the standard box runs with air flow metres ? Anybody have any ideas on this ? THANX..

The issue isnt actually the noise from the filter box .. its the actual box , if you see the box i have put on now there are no gaps wat so ever its a perfect box not some dodgy back yard box... I dunno i guess ill take it and see if it passes if not ill have to work something out...

i would have put the stock box back on i did have one but it wont fit due to all my aftermarket piping there is no way it will fit.. ill have to make some changes ti fit it in.. What a headache.... im just trying to think if there is any other ways.,. hmmmmm i appreciate your help champ...

Ok thats kewl guys, I have already cleared my RTA Defect With a blue slip.. Trying to get my EPA One cleared Now. Doing a emissions tune got that under control But then its Got Rectify Noise for Filters in which case i have built the aluminium box for filters to try and seal off all noise .... I do have engineers papers for this box. Why i am very concerned about this is i cannot put the standard box back on because i am running a power FC D jetro which runs Without AFM'S So in this case if they still try and stuff me up what can i do there , The rta is not clearing my EPA Defects but there is a list of too workshops in sydney....?? I did speak to the engineer and he said it will be fine but im not too sure.. Any thoughts guys ? thanx for all the help..

hey mate didnt realise on my engineered Papers He had Engineered the Aluminium Box for the Filters... My question is now that i have it on a Engineers certificate can they still say anything. ??? thanx guys..

hey guys does anyone know if engineers can engineer Filters if i had made a aluminium box around it ?? Because the RTA Is getting really tough on these boxes around them .. A workshop was telling he couldnt pass it, or is he just having me on any ideas guys ?? thanx..

Mate HKS 25/40's Are big turbos More for a heavily modified Car I purchased Mine from bel Garage ( BRAND NEW R34 Genuine N1'S )They are the cheapest , I ordered them picked them up 4 days later... good luck...

Personally id go for N1's ... Ive driven Gtr's with HKS Turbos too laggy .. N1's responsive Hence why i have them on my GTR . Price for them is good though.. Good luck..

Mate i have shown it to many people I had one person say its a 33 Motor , 100 other people Said r34 Motor , When it was pulled apart i was told it was barely used like brand New .... -

By the way Celica if you are looking for a car from J-SPEC Or any other importer ull find that cars of this nature with these kind of mods dont tend to go for 15k But more high 20K Low 30k .. so its up to you if you want to buy something that is here infront of your own eyes or take the risk getting import... Is it really worth it saving 2-3 K ? By the way not trying to Dis you. I understand you spent alot of money on your old celica and got nothing for it ... But a celica wouldnt really hold its value you wrere probably better off selling it in parts.... unlike a 1993 V spec were there isnt many around in good nick... -

Hey mate i totally understand aboutt he exchange rate and stuff. And i know there is alot of r32's Going cheap. in the 20k mark . But this car is honestly one of a kind . I had a look at a heap of Gtr's when i bought this r32 i Ended up paying a little extra but i got myself One hell of a machine . If your looking to buy one for the 15 K Mark Good luck Finding one that is a 1993 V spec . And then when you bring it here all the mods you will Spend will end up costing you even more then buying one that is already modded.. Just my thoughts I honestly think My price is very Genuine i had Reached the 50K Mark myself on Mods But i know i will never get it all back... Changes i had done Was rebuild bottom End , turbos , Ecu ETC. I Have changed the tune of the car to a street tune. Good luck in finding your Gtr -

Yes joe you make a point about that i did speak to the exsaust guy he did say to me the car should b fine . The exsaust he put on it now looks alot smaller then a standard GTR One . i guess ill see how the results go if i need to change anything i will if it fails.. i read the other post.. Similar Mods. Hes got Bigger Turbos .. Ive only got N1's i Actually thought there same size as Standard turbos just better built am i wrong there ??? I also read in one post if your fail first emiision test they cancel your rego ?? I think another difference is im not doing this emiisions test at the rta but at a workshop do i have a advantage in this case.. Thanx for all the help joe, guys./.

Hey Joe, I got away with the rta inspection thank god . He told me take it to a blue slip guy And let him call me from there ill authorise it so thats taken care of . In terms of emmision test i can take it to a nominated workshop the guy in granville. I have put me exsaust totally back to stock sounds like a corolla now ...... Hid all the gauges under the steering wheel in the compartment Put the boost down to 10PSI Standard . Ive got all the engineers Papers as well For Cage, Intercooler, Aftermakret throttle , wheels, plenum ETC ..... So hopefull all goes well.. What i dont understand is why do i need to do downtuning for emiisions test . Ive put the Boost back down to 10PSI and exsaust is as standard as it gets Very very very Quiet ???
