  1. Where is the best place to get a new filter and what type? regards John
  2. Thanks guys for your suggestions. It works fine up to about 35 deg outside temp and then it blows warm air. I will try all your suggestions - failing that I suppose the Nissan dealer is the next stop!
  3. I am having problems with my air conditioning - on hot days it doesn't work. I have had it checked and the gas levels, pressures and temperatures are fine but on hot days it just blows hot air. The air conditioning guy says that it is probably an ecu problem with the climate control - it seems to switch off the air conditioning on hot days. I am also having problems with my fuel gauge never giving an accurate reading and maybe the problems are linked? Anyone else having these sorts of problems with their V35? Thanks John
  4. When my light comes on I have never been able to put more than 45 litres in the tank!
  5. After a few false starts with people interested in buying, I have dropped the price to $700 for the exhaust and I will pay half the freight costs
  6. It gives excellent power all through the range (Stillen says about 8 bhp but it seems more than that). By aggressive I mean that on hard acceleration it is louder than I want; there is no drone or harshness when cruising on the freeway
  7. I am selling my exhaust because it is too aggressive for what I want - great sound especially at high revs but too Ferrari like for me. I imported it from Stillen in the US about 6 months ago. All good quality stainless including hangers. Cost me $1250 and I want about $800

  9. Hi, I replaced my original exhaust a couple of months ago with a cat back Stillen stainless for $1100 but it was on special at the time. Freight cost $376!!!! The original exhaust was in excellent condition with no corrosion. Regards John
  10. I have purchased a Stillen cat back exhaust from the US and have found it to be an excellent product but it is a little too aggressive when gunned - it sounds like a Ferrari but is too loud for me. Normal driving is fine and there is no drone at all. I would be interested in swapping for something a little less aggressive and in new condition like mine. I don't want Kakimoto because I don't like the boy racer cannons at the rear. If anyone is interested and lives in or around Sydney so we can compare and discuss, let me know. John
  11. I think my gauge is stuffed as well I have some sort of air lock in the tank as the maximum I can put in is about 55 litres. Any clues on how to fix it???
  12. Both; I can't completely fill the tank and the fuel gauge moves from full to 3/4 full
  13. Hi, Has anyone had problems with their fuel gauge/fuel tank? My fuel gauge was working fine but recently it varies wildly from 3/4 full to full. Also I cannot fill the tank more than about 3/4 full and there seems to be an air lock or something - even after shaking the car during filling, I can't fill the tank. Any clues?
  14. Apple iMac G4 computer, 80 GB hard disc, 768 MB ram, Epson CX3100 multi function printer, original owner, awesome computer/printer combination $850 ono, Gosford NSW, ph John 0419 996 520
  15. I am after a rear exhaust for my V35. Any suggestions on where I could get a good quality and good sounding one which will not drone and retains the twin tailpipes? Thanks
  16. I had a quote from a Nissan dealer of $330 trade price for a key and he said he couldn't code it. I gave him my chassis # & I didn't know that the last numbers is the build number. Mine was the 501,000 th car and it is an 03 model!
  17. Has anyone had a spare ignition key coded for their 350GT coupe? I have heard that one can be purchased from Japan for $200 and someone in Sydney can code it. Any info would be appreciated.
  18. Hi, I am in the process of purchasing new tyres for my 350GT. The ones on the rear are Marshall Matrag 265/35 Zr 18 93W and are really noisy - sounds like a diff or wheel bearing going but have put other wheels on and the noise goes so it is definately tyres. The 35 profile sends my speedo out by 10km/hr at 100. The front ones, Sonar Ultra Sport NSII, 235/40 R18 95H are quite good as far as noise is concerned; haven't heard of either type before! Any advice on best (quiet) tyres for the V35 and where to get them in Sydney? Also what does the 93W and 95H mean? Thanks John
  19. I have heard roumours of turning back odometers as well. The Japanese auction houses must be aware also as they put a question mark against cars which they think are questionable. I think the best way to check is to see if oxidation has occurred on aluminium engine components (such as the ABS module) because the heat under the bonnet causes oxidation more rapidly than when cool. So a 4 year old car with low kms should have less oxidation than a 4yr old high km car; as well as the other tell tale signs such as gear knob, brake discs, bodywork etc. Anyway the engines are so good what harm is an extra 50,000km going to do; as long as you don't know about it!!!
  20. A good contact for electronics for the V35 in Sydney is Con at Revolution Ph 02 9797 6499. He sorted my central locking/alarm problem/fuel door lock problem and has had a lot of experience with the 350GT and other imports - a great find for me. He has a website: www.revolutionservices.com.au
  21. Driving to Byron Bay sitting on most speed limits I got 12.3 km/l or 8.1l/100km. Around town I get about 9.6km/l which is excellent from a 3.5l engine and 1550kg - results due partly from the low Cd of 0.28 and zero lift aerodynamics
  22. Frank what oil did you use for the diff? Also how often should we change the auto trans fluid as the manual says that for normal driving it doesn't need to be changed!
  23. Any clues on how to take out the front grille? thanks John
