  1. Hey mate, you won't be able to extract much power from an N/A in regards to performance. If your not planning on keeping the car and looking at possibly buying turbo model later down the track I would just go for lowered spring i.e. Tein S tech. As for rims I would personally buy second hand as it will generally work out alot cheaper than buying new. And as said previously, do a search as there is heaps of information on SAU.
  2. QFM HPX are a nice pad for a street driven car. I dont do any track work and tbh they have good bite for a cheap pad. And there is no squeel as someone already said... and your comparing a $200+ pad to a $78 pad....
  3. My 33 has the full GPS system in it with the Nismo dash, used to work...
  4. Not too sure about the 1k price difference, maybe $300? Maybe you are comparing Jap ones without the pillow tops to the Aus ones with the tops and yes the spring rate difference is neglible.
  5. I've got them in my car and for a street driven car they are awesome. I've got the aus spec ones so the spring rate is a little softer than the jap ones but the comfort is really good and firm. Best modification I have done by far. And yes you can lower them a lot, my rears tyres are sitting on the guard and there is probably about another 20mm of adjustment in there
  6. It could possibly be your fuel pump if your car stopped while driving. If the car was cranking and isn't now, you've probably flattened your battery. I you get stuck, get an auto electrician to come out and have a look.
  7. Sorry mate I said it was mechanical when R33's are electronic so it doesnt have the cable, woops. I'm taking it down to a specialist tomorrow for him to look at the cluster anyway so I hope he can fix it for me. He quoted me roughly $150 inc. parts which I dont mind paying. Thanks for the help though! We'll see how it goes
  8. Hey mate Yeah it's mechanical and it's the odometer and trip meter that have stopped. I did take it apart last night but tbh I wasn't too keen on removing the needles/speedo face to get to the odometer so I ended up putting it back together I would just buy a second hand instrument cluster but I have one of the Nismo dashes with the LCD screen and I really dont want to get rid of it. I think I'm just going to try and find a specialist who deals with repairs for this sort of thing. Do you reckon Jaycar would be able to look at my cluster or do they only deal in parts?
  9. I want to open the instrument cluster on my 33 to see if I can see what the problem is with my odometer not working (I've read it's most likely one of the cogs has broken that drives the numbers). I'm a bit unsure if I should be opening it though? Has anyone done it and is it easy to do and put back together? What are some things to watch out for? It stopped working the other week and I really want to get it fixed.
  10. Spark plugs to 0.8 if not already. If that doesn't work, put it on a dyno and get workshop to look at it ok bai.
  11. This. As always those "bonus cars" will more than likely be available to anyone who buy's the normal version of Gran Turismo by entering a code in-game... But we'll see.
  12. Cool topic bro Hax
  13. I've always liked the silver on the R34 GTR's. Don't go bright colours please...
  14. and he's not talking about the car! Nice rim's, DO WANT.
  15. Cost me $350 for darkest legal from tint a car about 2 years ago. It's average during the day but at night it's actually pretty good. Imo getting an illegal tint % looks really good but when you get a yellow it has to come off...
  16. Been in a couple of cars with the GT-RS, both of them made the whistle sound. It's not that bad, can do a wolf whistle with it
  17. 1.1mm standard boost, 0.8mm for 11psi +.
  18. Series 1 bars can fit but they need a bit of fibreglass work to get them to fit nicely around the series 2 headlights.
  19. $180 delivered to W.A and I'll take it. PM me if interested
  20. Just use touch up paint. I dont think a panel beater can just fix up one section of the bar, I'm pretty sure they would need to respray the whole front bumper.
  21. I'm interested in the plastic that surrounds the steering wheel (top half) and the dash facia if they are in mint condition? PM with a price if you will post to WA.
  22. What he said. As if a government issued notice is going to be removed by any workshop.
  23. Ok well mines dropped quite a bit. Car: 96 R33 gts-t Insurance company: Just Car Cost: $1630 age: 21 driving history: 1 accident 3 years ago, minor gender: M mods: A few post code: garage y/n: N alarm: Y insured amount: $16500 market or agreed value: market insured in parents name? N alarm category: just an alarm excess: Total is about $1400
  24. Just get a custom one made up. You'll more than likely get better ground clearance over a jap one anyway. In saying that though, a custom one will probably cost only a little less than jap.
  25. I can't comment on the car covers, but like you I have to leave my car outside. I just put some decent wax on every 3-4 months or so to void off fading and rain should just bounce off too
