  1. I just T'd it into one of the hoses coming of the plenum. As for the clicking, it shouldn't be that loud. However this shouldn't mean it is faulty. You may just have a loud unit. Dunno, i spsoe you could take it back and try another one?
  2. Interesting... Is this the same for the R32s? I have recently upped the boost to 0.8-0.9 with a Profec B Spec II, and i have not had any issues with the R & R? Should i worry about my engine running too lean? BTW i am in the process of getting the ECU remapped, but it wont be for another 2 monthsish...So nobody have a go at me and tell me to get it done
  3. Oh, one more thing. I have found where the boost gauge is connected to a vacuum hose. I now need to connect the Boost controller in to it as well. Can i put another T junction in the same hose, or this considered not good practise. Only reason I ask I, is because the vacuum hose is right near where it needs to go through the firewall, so it will be easier and neater.
  4. Cool thanks! I figured it out, woohoo
  5. Cheers man, I am pretty sure I understand the solenoid bit, i just dont know which hose is the one for the Fuel Pressure Regulator. I also have a boost gauge installed so i am not sure how this is connected. The hose I think is the vacuum hose for the fuel pressure reg has a T junction in it already. Could this be the boost gauge? Pardon my n00bness
  6. Hey all, I was wondering if someone had a guide for the installation of the Profec B Spec II on a RB20? I found some old guides for RB25, but the pic's were dead. I know it is meant to be really easy, but i don't want to stuff it up and i also would like some advice on the best way to do in terms of performance of the unit. Regards, Bernhard
  7. Any one know where you can get the resistor pack for the GTR injectors? I am planning to get some injectors but i never see anyone selling the resistor pack, and i was wondering if it was hard to get.
  8. Sweet cheers.
  9. Hey, just wondering..... My boost controller will be arriving soon and i was wondering is it safe to boost up to 0.9 bar while the car is not tuned, as tuning will most probably occur sometime at the beginning of next year..... I don't want it to run too lean and go pop.....
  10. Cheers, thanks for the advice :sorcerer:
  11. Sweet, just got quoted $880 Which is not too bad, a little more expensive then i would have hoped but definately still cheaper then buying an after market ecu and tuning it (~$1500+)
  12. Cool thats sounds good, roughly how much did it set you back? Is Dr Drift coming to perth!?!??!
  13. Hey all, I know there is HEAPS of discussion relating to standard ECU remaps, however I cannot seem to find any information of people doing them in W.A! There is Dr Drift and Toshido, but they are in the eastern states... My Skyline is relatively lightly modded, such as FMIC, GTR fuel pump, GTR injectors, standard turbo and good boost controller. So i would only want to boost up to about .9 bar. Because of the light mods i cant really justifying going out and buying an aftermarket ecu, until i start messing with the Turbo. Does anyone know\recommend someone, who is based in W.A and is good at remapping an R32 ecu? Cheers, Bernhard
  14. Cheers guys, I think I will put it back on
  15. Hahaha nah sorry man just a GTS-T
  16. Hey all, I am curious of peoples opinions relating to the plastic on the underside of the engine. I had to take it off to do some work and I am unsure about whether to put it back on. There are pros on cons both ways. If i leave it on it: a) Protects against grime build up b) Can reduce air flow around the angine c) Is a pain in the ass everytime i need to do some work under my car Is there that much to gain by putting it back on? It should keep the engine cooler although I dont like the idea of crap building up on the bottom of my engine, especially near all the belts. So what do you think?
