I was using hks 272 with 8.somthing lift and they gave me crazzy mid to top end power. But had nothing down low caused by the 6:1 comp. Now have camtech cams that are 2 different sizes but both are massive compared to the hks cams I was using. Cant comment on how they work as the car isnt finished. Waiting on a haltech

I have a compressor with hoses and condensor and also have a gtr front diff center.

Motor is finally finished. Everything was blue printed and balanced by crankshaft engineering in brisbane. Was assemble by me at a performance shop with some advice on ring gap etc from them. 2 new cams 1 bigger then the other but there alot bogger then the hks 272 I was using. Thought I had a clearance problem between piston and valves but I dont. Was only the pads in the chamber leaving marks in the playdow. Have got a new gearbox and a new twin plate from direct clutches in brisbane. Just need a haltech and 1500cc injectors now. Havnt worked out the CR yet but will do soon. Slow build has taken over 2yrs but no short cuts taken. Hopping for better results then last time. AWD coversion not getting done as I got quoted 25g and I can buy a gtr roller and drop this motor in for less then that. Will post the results when its running

yeh the head was machined for lobe clearance. only details that i know is what i wrote down and that they are rare. I didnt want to sell them but need to finishish this motor to get the car on the road been 3yrs now and only need ecu and injectors. sorry i cant help you more. They measure 32.5mm over the base and 41 from the base to the tip of lobe

still got it ill take it on sunday if interested.

I have a few left over parts for sale that i need to sell to fund a Haltech and 1400cc injectors RB30 A8 turbo block Has been freashly honed and decked and primed and painted House Of Kolour candy apple red over a gold base will be fine with heat and also comes with a freashly ballanced and preped crank. It is also drilled and taped for 12mm ARP head studs and tensioner is also drilled and taped (87mm) N.O.: 040727 A8 $500 HKS cams that came with a spool imports race prep head package. These cams are rare and hard to find now. The specs are HKS 272 deg 9.35 lift $800 Rb26 plenum and throttle bodies $450 RB30/25 flywheel has been freashly machined and lightend by Direct clutches in brisbane $150 This is a vid of these cams and this block getting dyno befor the motor was striped down and refreashed. my rb30/26 was running 6.1:1 comp with cp dish top cp pistons making 490hp on 20psi. 40psi would be fine on this comp setup just up the timming

yeh im not sure how they do a charity for his death. What i think is Paul Walker was doing a charity car cuise when the crash happend for the natural disaster in the philippines. The organization was caled REACH OUT WORLD WIDE so from what i understand is this downshift club is doing this charity in memory for Paul Walker and to fundraise for ROWW

Just interested to see if anyone is keen to do a cruise in memory of Paul Walker. As he was a car enthusiast and his pick of cars was the nissan GTR family I feel it would be a good thing to do. I dont have dates or times as it is EOI. Any idears, tips or help would be great I did try to post this up on sunday but it didnt make it on to the web site and have since noticed a club caled downshift australia have also organised a charity cruse for Paul Walker and are expecting 700+ cars to attend. Maybe we can combind both parties together. What is everyones thoughts

Im running a 30/26 my exhaust cam card says at .050 should be 242 deg and intake is 253 deg at .050. does this mean in stead of (9. Rotate the engine in the normal direction of rotation until a reading on the dial gauge of 0.040” lift is reached. (Valve will start to open) Mark the dial gauge and make a note of the reading on the degree wheel.) I should be reading .050 and not .040

did you destroy any bearings getting them off. Do the gears slide off or are they pressed on

I thought a cam angle sensor is the same as a crank angle sensor. And i thought with out a crank angle sensor the ecu wont know when to make what spark plug spark. I may be incorrect but thats my understanding

so by calculating .936+.424+.060=1.42 witch is coil bind+cam lift+ .060 clearance befor coil bind = 1.42 Would this 1.42 be my correct install height or is that formular incorrect
