  1. Well at least we agree on one thing hey... You are wasting your time.. Now back to this P plater who broke the law and got caught. (If we are capable of doing this without slandering the cops for once... Again.) Cheers Dan
  2. His car was engineered but the cops are aware of the fraudulent engineers reports going around and they dont have to take notice of them. They send you to RTA or wherever it may be in your state and let them decide whether the engineers report needs further investigation. He didnt take their crap - thats my point, but he was shat on anyway. Drove off from the cops I dont think so...Cops dont take crap like that. They were obviously finished with you anyway or just so sick and tired of listening to your whinging they didnt bother. If they didnt want you to leave they would have pursued you and if you had the balls to keep going you would have got the floggin of your life when they caught up with you.. Just more hard talk sorry to say. Did you hear about the pursuit in Sydney a while ago. This bloke was in a full on chase with the coppers for a good 20 minutes and you know where he lead the coppers to? Their police station to make a complaint. How funny is that? I hope your not a person like him cos that bloke was an absolute nut. And I hear he didnt get his chance to complain either. It has been said that the majority of complaints against police and votes for police officer of the year are made by the local neighbourhood nuts. Luckily there is a system in place that causes these complaints to go no further than the local neighbourhood garbage bin..
  3. DANOOH is this what you are referring to? Are you serious? The cops begin to defect your car and you ask them for the act and subsection. You are killing me here mate. Where have you read that the cops must answer this question if asked. All the cops need to know is that 'they can'... If the need arises where they do need this info well they can look it up later. Its not hard anyway - theres only one main act for traffic. Even magistrates, judges and lawyers need to refer to their books for acts and subsections. It is simple and the sooner you realise this the better off you will be. I've been driving modified cars for 12 years now. Never have given cops attitute - never had any problems at all.. I have mates who give cops atttiute - defects and fines at least once every couple of months. Mate gets stoppped, cop says "whats been done to this it doesnt sound standard" Mate says "its all stock" cop looks under bonnet. Any cop would know that a shiny SR20 dont belong in a 68 Datsun 1600. Cop says "why did you lie to me" mate says "I didnt lie, its a stock SR20" And this is where it all starts....16 defects later. Why bother???
  4. My main point is that I am tired of reading about the hard talk towards police on these forums. I am not alone here I have seen the same comment hundreds of times when police topics are raised. When the time comes out on the road its either yes sir or no sir or if by chance the driver gives the cops a mouthfull they will only loose. I would say alot of the cops esp highway cops, would love drivers to test their knowledge of road laws and cars in general. I dont know what kind of cops you know or have come across, but I dont know any that would back down if you began to test them. Anyway you still didnt answer my question - the cops stop you for RBT, then begin to check over your vehicle for roadworthyness, what do you say to them??
  5. If you are informed as much as you say you are then you should know that driving a motor vehicle on public roads is not a right - it is a privillege. This is why Australian drivers have one of the worst reputations in the world. Because they think they have a right to drive on the road. I think cops need to try harder and remove this privillege from more drivers. If you look at the traffic legislation you will see that it is a very powerful one in favour of the cops. Its like that for a reason - the cops own you when you are driving on the roads. This is why they have RBT - to stop you whenever they like. As soon as people realise it is your gov employing police to do this then you and police may get on a little better and they may not be such a#*holes to you. Give them the respect for the job they are employed to do. They are not born that way. If I am wrong then explain to me what your rights as a driver are... (re police - not other motorists and crimes committed against you)
  6. Redback how did you go downloading the legislation? Have you installed the shelving in your back seat to hold all of this. Do you really think the cops are trained with a book that is the size of your learner's driving manual? Danooh that's hilarious.. Cops need to hit P platers hard, they are like children and need to be pulled back into line every now and then. So what if you are a good driver around a track or on the strip. When it comes to the road, you have no experience and you are over confident.. end of story.. I wish you guys would cut the BS about giving the cops a mouthfull. Cos when the time comes you don't have the balls to do so. If it werent for the cops you wouldnt even be able to drive in safety on the roads so why dont you stop whinging about the cops.. ffs please stop whinging about the cops... Dan.
  7. The Holden Camira won alot of awards too. How do you do it anyway?? How do you drive an 18 year old XF Falcon with over 430,000k's on it? Don't you have any pride. That car must be worth like 20 bucks. Just like all other Ford and Holden fans, you take these arguements far too seriously. People are entitlied to their opinions. Explain to me, why are 4s for girls? Do you have to be a man to drive a 6. Can't girls drive 6s too?
  8. Hmmm, I think this is where it all started..
  9. Give your ole man's BA Falcon a few years mate.. I hope for all BA owners it doesnt become another AU. Your R33 at 15 years old will be a better car to own and drive than the BA when it is two years old.
  10. Damm I missed what he said. Did he call us fags?? What else??
  11. They are nice wheels. Anybody know what they are?? They'll look good on my Corolla.
  12. Hey I am just thinkin here, if you wire the solonoid to stay open, isn't this just the same as getting rid of the solenoid completey and running vacuum line in its place..?? Isnt this easier than stuffing around with the solenoid? Then you can just put different size restrictors in the line to give different amounts of boost. All sounds like a waste of time to me. No diff to the ole t-peice bleed valve scenario. But I suppose $0 compared to $2 worth of vacuum hose and restrictor...
  13. I will learn to appreciate Ford and Holden when they can provide me with a car that won't leak oil from the word go. (that and many other problems too) Geez, how pathetic are Holden and Ford?? Their build quality sucks. A badge does not buy appreciation. Appreciation is earned.
  14. I have a question. Where are all you people with the super quick GTS-Ts. I must say, can't find em on the streets, can't find em at the drags. One has not 'yet' come close to me on the streets. And my car isnt really all that heavily modified. Maybe the guys with the fast GTS-Ts don't want to waste their time on me. But seriously, I know they exist, but it seems like every bloke here has a GTS-T weapon.
  15. Sydneykid you are getting all your laws mixed up. Common Law has nothing to do with the traffic laws. Houses are not the same as cars. Different laws apply to cars on the street as to private property. The traffic act is very good to police it gives them alot of power. Believe me they can check your car inside and out for ROADWORTHYNESS and it can be for any reason after stopping you. Warrants are not needed to search your car when it is on a road or road related area. Please dont get confused when I say searching as apposed to checking for defects. It is completely different. You could lock the car and say your not touching it. But like I said, they will just send your car to the RTA and they are worse than cops. They will also give you the major defect which means you will have to tow it home. A good example of this is when the cops and RTA block raods off and trap street racers. It is on a public road, they can check whatever they want to on your car. They can tell you to start it and rev it for noise, they even bring in mobile hoists to lift your car off the ground. They do not need your consent. Haven't you seen this happen yet? Look up the traffic act.
  16. Where do you get these facts from? Once you have been stopped and the cops can justify stopping you, with RBT laws this is not hard btw, as long as you are on a road or road related area they can then check your car for roadworthyness. All they have to do is believe that your car is not roadworthy and they can check inside, outside, underneath and under bonnet. What they can't do is search your car for other reasons unless they have reasonable cause to suspect there is something to search for. Checking for raodworthyness items like seatbelts and seats and so on does not include searching. If you say no to opening your bonnet, I dont know what the general duties cops may do as they may not be up to scratch on all traffic laws (they just call HWP when they arent sure) but I wouldnt try that with the HWP.. Remember they can always send your car to the RTA and not just a certified servo.
  17. You are all demented.
  18. Yeah sounds like they were out to annoy you on this one I must admit. How did they know where the placard should be. Mine is under my centre console lid from factory. The cops could not possibly know this.
  19. Hmmm, standard features. What could they have possibly been? Thats a bit strange..
  20. But they got you didn't they. Ha ha. Not your grandma.. Maybe it was a quiet area you were in cos I see many cars on the road at that time of Sunday morning. Esp in Sydney.. But that would explain their illegal u-turn to catch up with you. You were the only car available to stop.
  21. I did not get pulled over for five years with my Skyline. Not even for RBT. I now get pulled over for RBT quite often with my S15. After speaking to them nicely, they tell me that these cars get stolen very often around here (mainly when I drive through or near Bankstown). Sure I could say they are picking on me, or I could say they are doing a good job. Unfortunately drunk drivers (and thieves) don't believe in advertising. Thats why its called 'Random' Breath testing.
  22. Silver GTST, 7.00 am on Sunday morning is a great time for RBT. It's when people are normally on their way home or to work after a night on the piss. So there you go, they are doing a good job of keeping the streets safe. Think about it, they could be at the police station or parked in the bush somewhere sleeping. But they choose to patrol the streets. Why are we criticising them for this.
  23. Here we go again, cops are too stupid to know what a car is worth. I can think of two reasons for your problem. If you say ur not a crim then I believe you. But they are stopping you for a reason. 1. There is a warning on your car that warns police that it's involved in some kind of crime. Or maybe they have caught people driving it that shouldn't be, or maybe they know you like doing burnouts.. 2. If that is what ur car looks like, refering to your avator, it's obvious why they are stopping you. No offence, but it looks pretty defective. Is it really that low?
  24. I looked at this car too. Thought it was excellent value. I was actually gunna sell my S15 for it cos I was going through a silly stage. Lucky I changed my mind, I will keep my S15. ( For a while anyway) I still bought the sportivo but it will be our second car for my gf to drive to work and do the shopping. I will let u all know how it goes when I get my hands on it and wring it's neck. Should be ready tomorrow on the 10/7. And it's red btw.
  25. I will never understand people like you. In one instance where a cop gives you a hard time and fines you over a petty offence like not having P plates on your car, you hate them to death and whinge and cry, "Haven't they got anything better to do?" Then when a cop informs you that you haven't got P plates on your car and turns a blind eye to such a petty offence, even though he knows you are lying of your knowledge of it, you bag the intelligence of cops. Obviously there would be cops out there that wouldn't know their arse from their face, but the majority of cops would obviously be smarter than you.
