  1. neither, really they have no use what so ever except for the noise. yeah you will like the noise for a while until the cops start pulling you up and defecting you for it,you might as well get a sticker for your car telling the cops you have 1 and to come & get ya. your choice though but i already gave you my opinion in your other bov thread and most of the others agreed. that's just how i feel about them as i bought a $500 bov and took my r33 out and was pulled up within 10mins and got fined and defected and now the bastards pull me over every time they see me even now my car has nothing illegal on it and not to mention the bov making my car stall constantly. don't know if it will make your rb20 stall but there are heaps of threads on here with people having stalling problems with the rb25 but that's stock r33's,apparently you have to get the r33's tuned to have an atmospheric bov and a few veteran members have mentioned it as well. but hopefully if you get one you wont have the same problem. sorry for rambling on but im so very bored lol.
  2. get a life and no...i don't want to buy supplies from you that are most likely made in a child labor camp.

  4. i wouldn't bother for 2 reasons..... 1) cop magnet. 2) no performance value what so ever. nothing wrong with keeping the factory one on and you pretty much get the bov noise when you put a pod filter on but i would recommend a pod box and cold air induction if you go that way.
  5. i could tell the difference in power and that "pull sensation" your words not mine. but this was me going from a tr magna to a r33 gtst but now im use to the power it feels slow to me at the moment and im constantly craving more power.
  6. welcome aleisha, your better off getting the 2nd hand RB25DET and doing it up. it will cost you a fortune, for starters a gtr engine aint cheap and you will have to get alot of work done to get it running right. you could easily get a 300rwkw gtst for the amount it would cost you to drop a gtr engine in your car and all the work that will have to get done.
  7. hey guys,i own an R33 GTST series one and want to spend big bucks on it and hopefully get it to around 300kw for the powercruise next year. i dont use it as a daily driver and only take it out once every few weeks so i thought as i dont drive it i could be getting it done up. the car is stock except for a 3" blitz exhaust system so if you guys can give me a list of what needs to be done. so far i know i need to do the internals, fuel pump, front mount, bigger turbo, after market ecu + tune etc but still need to keep it street legal. money and price is not a concern so please feel free to give some advice.
  8. Hey guys, been a while since i posted this topic but i had to end up installing it myself and finally finished it today. cant believe it took me this long to get motivated enough to do it...pics are so finished result.
  9. sorry for bringing up an old topic but rather do this than make a new one,i decided to use the hose that goes to the stock bov as its best to fit the t-piece but i have another problem. with the speco mech 2" boost gauge are they meant to come with 2 compression sleeves?cause mine only has one and also when i use the only compression sleeve and one of the compression nuts and do it up tight onto the boost gauge the white pressure hose can be pulled out very easily is this normal?
  10. hi,ive made up a aluminum bracket that can hold three speco meter gauges which i will put under my cd player but im having a problem with the boost gauge. its a 2" mechanical speco meter boost gauge but it only came with 1 compression sleeve and the diagram shows 2......1 to go between the gauge port and compression nut but there isnt one to go with the hose thats connected to the t-piece. is there meant to be 2 or 1 compression sleeves?and also is it normal for the white pressure line to slip out easy even with the compression nut twisted as tight as it goes?
  11. hey thanks for the link,im gonna make one of these. if the detergent and water trick don't work i will use this one.
  12. a while back my friend took my rocker covers off and painted them for me and we noticed how putrid the throttle body and plenum was so we took it all off including the aac valve and gave them a good clean. put it all back together and the car is over revving,i had to turn in the idle screw because it was revving pretty high at idle but even with the idle screw turned in it still revs to high but not as much as before. the same friend was at a dyno place and mentioned it to them and they said it sounds like an air leak and if i bring it in they can trace it and fix it. ive tried to find it myself but its near impossible with the engine noise and wind blowing around off the fan,do you have any tips on finding it or should i leave it to the dyno guys?
  13. guys i have posted this pic and put arrows to the location, all i need to know if this is the place to run the line for a mechanical speco boost gauge? ive put the pic up as when i have asked before without a pic the only answer i got was that the guy used a t-piece on his which pretty much didn't help me at all as i needed to know where to run it from. please let me know.
  14. hey guys, its going under the cd player but just need help with where to run it off. do you run it off where the rubber tubing is on the back of the plenum near the aac valve? i have taken off the rubber tubing and there is a little nipple there and just want to know if that is the one to run it off. the rest i can do but just dont know where to run it off, please answer me if it is the place to put it so i can get started.
  15. hi guys,i bought a speco meter boost gauge which im gonna install in my r33 gtst series 1 just under my cd player and just wondering if its possible to use the line from the factory boost gauge in the dash? is the line reachable from under the dash?as i was gonna use that line and stick the t-piece in there so i can have both gauges working. can you please share your opinions on this, thanks. Damien.
  16. yeah that would be an accident in the making lol,i will let the misses tell me how much boost its putting out. originally was gonna have the boost gauge on top of the dash but the cops are defecting everyone who has any gauges installed up there.
  17. me and my best mate are installing these whenever we get off our asses,he made the gauge holder plate up so i took a pic before installation and will take another pic when the job is done. we are putting it just below the cd player so the cops cant defect me because where i live we import owners are picked on something fierce. was on here looking for options on where to install just a boost gauge and seen some pics of guys mutilating their air vents to put them in and fill the gaps with sticky tape which looked pretty shocking so i bought the other 2 and decided to go for the neat & tidy option.
  18. hi,in the picture where i have circled in red i don't know what this is and don't know what the lower bottom hose is for? the blue arrows are the hoses where we were gonna fit the manual boost controller but we don't know what to do with the lower hose circled in red as there is nowhere to stick it on the boost controller. my mate in his series 2 r33gtst didn't even has that hose. do i need that hose and what is it used for?
