  1. You don't want to know.....$669 for 200 litres and $15 delivered to my door. At that price I'm not going to run it on the street - just at the circuit - I'll run two maps in the Autronic.
  2. Plumback......yep you pretty much echo my thoughts re the 3 inch.
  3. Before I get my E85 tune on my SR do you guys think I will need to upgrade my exhaust from 3 inch to 3.5 inch? I bought a 3076 too and tempted pull out the 3071 and slot it in the twin scroll housing.
  4. Whilst I'd love to....I can't show you any real life comparisons of the RB26 with TS vs twins.
  5. The benefits of twin scroll are not necessarily seen on the dyno as that is a WOT application - but partial throttle/transient response and the ability to spool and re-spool (on/off throttle applications) is where its at. Some of the circuit racers in the US with SR's have switched to twin scroll from single scroll and are claiming to have dropped 2 sec's off there lap times - which is nothing short of incredible when they've probably already exhausted every other avenue to improve lap times. A 2.5 litre Subaru that Geoff was involved with switched to a GT35 T4 twin scroll setup on an otherwise stock engine and set a lap record - even outgunning the new GTR.
  6. A tech article on twin scroll turbo systems I came accross: http://www.full-race.com/modified-twinscroll/index.html
  7. You may want to see if Supertech have an inconel exhaust valve for the RB - may be better for heat. I run oversized Supertech inconel exhaust valves in my SR and no probs. Either those of Ferrea are a good choice.
  8. Refer attached list. PM for any questions. Cheers, Ian
  9. ^^^^refer to the top of the spec sheet.....or if your in WA I got it through the WA distributor - "Filters Elite" ph 9356 1155.
  10. Correct....going to try this for track days:
  11. Haha.....6Boost and no doubt ETM are good local products too....
  12. Can anyone recommend a tuner in Perth to tune on E85....and who has actual experience with tuning SR's on E85?
  13. I don't think the new design would be rocket science. A flick through Maxiumum Boost will show you having a wastegate come off the collector at 90 degrees to high speed gas flow is one of the poorer ways of effective wastegating. Simply any shallower angle would be an improvement. Hence why when I ordered my 6Boost manifold (before I bought the Full-Race item) - I requested it be made without any wastegate provision - so that I could customise the wastegate position and angle.
  14. SR 2.2 litre Billet ZP turbo with twin scroll 1.0 ex a/r 300rwhp by a tad over 4500rpm, 400rwhp by 4,850rpm, 488rwhp 7500 rpm - looks like power was still climbing at 7500
  15. A member on NS used a twin scroll Billet turbo equivalent to a TO4Z on an SR. I'll see if can locate the dyno....and report back.
  16. Looks like swine flu to me...
  17. I would probably go and visit the full-race website or better still email Geoff Raicer....chances are if it hasn't been done by them or not being contemplated by them...it isn't worth doing.
  18. Correct.....and ideally two wastegates - one for each bank of runners. The runners must be paired based on the firing order of the motor (not simply based on convenience) to ensure even pulses into each scroll - I'm not sure of the firing order of an RB - but Mr Lith has provided some insights in this regard in his previous posts. Late edit: OK Mr Lith has beat me to it. Twin gate SR version:
  19. Agreed......but I'm going to try E85 in my setup......that way he has no excuse to hold back
  20. ^^^^ what Mr Lith said.....in effect it improves the VE of the engine for a given rpm. The lower exhaust gas pressure results in lower exhaust gas residue in the cylinder which means you can add more timing and run a larger A/R and still have good spool. The extra timing is also something you will also notice at partial throttle i.e. street car or circuit car. For instance I run a twin scroll .78 A/R 3071 on an SR and it feels no different to the stock s15 turbo in response in the lower rpm - it just has bigger balls and loves a rev. From 4000 rpm its fantastic and revs out to 8000 with ease. My tuner also noted how much extra timing he could put into it compared to a single scroll setup. In fact I think he's gone a bit conservative on the tune becuase he's not used to being able to add the extra timing, and could probably add more. In my discussions with Geoff Raicer (Full Race Motorsport) he also likes to see bigger cams used with bigger twin scroll A/R's - I guess thats just matching the cams to exploit the bigger exhaust A/R.
  21. Ummm....I found I lost my licence much quicker with twin scroll. Full-Race Motorsport specialise in twin scroll stuff and may make a manifold for the RB....otherwise contact 6Boost for a local product - although may be a custom job.
  22. Yeah....they just migrate accross to the the SAU forum
