oh i dont doubt that... but theres nothing wrong with the stock one providing its in good shape so it would be the last thing on my list of things to do to my car.... my car already came with a metal shifter which i like... never driven a line with a stock shifter so i cant compare... but if it wasnt for the overall condition of my steering wheel i wouldnt have changed it.

strength they are just as good... lets face it if ur going to stack ur car at any speed u would have to assume with the type of car u have its going to be above 60k and thus no matter what material unless 4inch thick solid steel is going to demolish. The alloy is still strong... but lighter shame about the doors...

meh forget that idea he told me that the GTR doors are the same as GTST and not alloy there goes that idea.

Im after a pair of R32 GTR doors... no glass or trim just the doors and hinges. i want to chuck em on my GTST... the drivers side door sags a bit cause the hinge seems to be slightly bent so rather than just fixing it i thought i might replace the whole things with lighter alloy items prefer in black to save me from painting them... reasonable condition for now as i am painting the rest of the car later on. ive queried the GTR shop in NZ and i can pick up the doors their for 100each without the trim (GTST trim should fit anyway and the trim on my door is similar in material to the GTR anyways). Shipping is the only thing that will kill it... waiting on the response from them... oooo and there it is, within 3 mins of sending them original email

they dont have them on their site just email them cause i remember them having them a while back... the shipping is stuff all and its in NZ dollar prices so when you convert it over you save a fair bit ive used them before to get my GTR indicators and front bonnet latch assembly.

SKYLINEGTR - the GTR shop in NZ has them... u could order one from there... they are identical to the stock GTST one but obviously have GTR instead of the skyline S like the GTSTs. i only replaced mine cause the stock one was rooted... i just got a cheapo autotechnia one cause i cant justify spending 500 on a steering wheel... maybe later when there isnt anything else worth doing on the car i will get something like this... or this
