does anyone know what ratios the navara box runs?? i figure they would be different to skyline since its an NA V6 3L work truck, not a straight6 2.5L turbo sports car.

yeah its hard to explain the idea of a hybrid 26/30 to a guy at a government desk that knows nothing but whats on the screen in front of him. so they try to get ur hybrid to go through all the testing a new car goes through. and that is damned expensive!! i had a similar drama when it came to upgrading the brakes on my old commo. even though upgrading from vn brakes to vt is a huge improvement they still wanted me to get my car to pass braking and crash tests!!! so i got an adr compliant kit instead

hi all after a P plater rear ended me a couple of weeks ago ive been havin alot of trouble finding a rear bumper. its prob asking alot but im after 1 in silver. if any1 has one that will fit my ser 2 RS4S please contact me. wanted ASAP. cheers Ray

so after 2 hours on hold i finally got through to someone in the modifications department. i explained the idea of an rb30 into a skyline and straight away was told it could not be blue plated because of the engines age. but after explaining the idea of using the skylines oem head and pollution control all i could get was a maybe. the fellow was unsure as this is a grey area in thier rules. he said to talk to an engineer that can blue plate engine swaps and see what they say. so far ive spoken to 5 and they all said they wouldnt do it. so there u go, if u can find an engineer to pass it, ur in the clear i guess. let us all know who approved it for u so we can get it done. even though its kind of irrelevant now, how is it a moot point if u have a 98-99 model??

uve got it all wrong. swapping an RB25 or RB26 over to an RB30 is not a capacity increase like using a stroker crank. changing engine blocks is an engine swap. in QLD (dunno how other states view it) u cannot put any engine into a car that is newer than the engine. so if the engine was not oem equipment for the car it must be the same age or newer. EG: if ur car is made in 1994 ur engine must be 1994 or newer. i dont remember exactly but something about emissions and safety standards. so if u do happen to get pulled up by qld transport (which i have been many times) and they discover uve broken this rule, be prepared to walk home!! i'll call the modifications office again and get a clear and definitive answer on the reason.

pretty sure they r all like that from the factory. mines exactly the same. im fairly certain its the ecu turning the boost down after the engine has reached operating temp. i got no idea why its like that. but ive spoken to others that also had the prob with thiers and in every case it went away once an EBC was fitted edit: it also goes away if u bypass the factory boost soleniod, but the stock turbo doesnt like 14psi and the engine will hit fuel cut anyway. i know mine did!! but i only had it bypassed for 10mins to confirm my theory. DONT RUN UR CAR WITH THE SOLENIOD BYPASSED!!

your missing the fact that if ur car is registered (at least in qld anyway), it is completely illegal to put an rb30 in any car built after 1989. before u start saying "grind the numbers off" thats even more illegal. some of us want to keep our cars on the road rather than defected every time u drive it. the cheapest option is not always street legal.

i got a pair of autotechnica sport seats for sale. they r brand new and unused. i bought them for my ute that i no longer have. so just wanna get rid of them now. these seats r alot more comfortable for guys with broad shoulders. some of the jap seats can be a tight squeeze for us big aussies. good support but comfy for road driving. the pair $450ono
