    Headlights

the globe is supposed to be a H3C
  3. I know the S1s are 6" all round
  4. the injectors is where is gets a little shady for me. Apparently you can get topfeed and a fuel rail for about the same price as some side feed ones??? Looking at a fpr now. Thanks for your help so far gents, more suggestions?
  5. VERY CAREFULLY.... With the butt of a screwdriver and a tap with a hammer. After that, we just shook out all the pieces. Took us about an hour because I was afraid of cracking the outer glass. On a side note, does anyone know where to get an LED festoon globe for the corner lights? The goldy halogen look lets it down a bit
  6. Jesus YES! I've got 6000k in mine and they get comments constantly. I've also knocked out the yellow lenses in the foggies and have another set in there for extra high beam You'll never want halogen again, they'll just look dirty

    S1 Upgrades

S1 Stagea rs4 auto. OK so here's what I have so far laying around: Intake plenum 80mm throttle body top mount exhaust manifold 600x300 FMIC cam gears kkr430 (itll do for now, until I get a gt3540 and a wastegate) splitfires BOV Mate's trying to talk me into some top feed injectors (550cc?) ECU - Im looking at a Greddy emanage ultimate, the powerfc i think is just screaming 'overboard' to me. Anything else I need? Looking at putting this on in July when we do the big roadtrip to C-red. Thanks in advance, my knowledge is starting to lack at this stage
  8. http://diyautomods.com/2008/03/03/how-to-m...dlight-eyelids/ that's how I made mine its pretty amazing how much they actually change the look of your car.
  9. HIDs and mean eyelids, looks the goods. (no pics) Mine's an S1 though. Spend a weekend fashioning some eyelids, if you don't like them, I'm sure some of the fine people on here will take them off your hands.
  10. Excellent, I'm pretty clear now A Question for Grant, if you're still paying attention How do your struts handle? Are they installed 'as is'? i.e: bolt straight on (apart from the rear hats)? What do they feel like on the track?
  11. I (obviously) have shocks on the Stagea now, and there's nothing wrong with them, other than creaking on braking (anyone know how to stop this?) The r33 gtst struts that are coming are FREE, and they're lowered so I thought I'd fit them apart from the tangents, all everyone's said is 'do it' or 'don't do it' TELL ME WHY, just so that I will know in future how both work
  12. this really has turned into a great thread - very informative so tell me what i need to do to make them fit, Im rather inept when it comes to suspension We recently failed to successfully change some CV joints in a mazda 626, so you'll need to spell it out For everyone else as well
  13. that black one with the gold rims with polished lip WHAT ARE THOSE RIMS?!
  14. As luck would have it I BOOKED that weekend off today.... I'll be in esperance though, Perth is too far to drive for no other reason So feel free to swing by esperance on your way around burswood
  15. meanwhile if anyone else wants to have a crack at making some eyelids too (someone with an S2?) feel free. It can't be THAT hard! How much do eyelids retail for anyway?
  16. Wow, this is all really excellent stuff, but I'm afraid I am now completely lost. I have free r33 gtst struts (I assume these are in their entirety: springs/asshats/whatever) Can I put them on the Stagea, and will they keep me on the road?!
  17. Ahah sudden group buy! When I say I'm familiar with FG, it means I've used it before (made a parcel shelf, rolled guards on an ae86, basic frontage on sub box) I was going to wait til I could buy some paint but pressure's on now, if only I could get days off from work I might make a few sets at the outset (I dont have access to an S2 yet) and bog/prime them smooth and send em out for you to paint yourselves (if they come out good). Having said all of this they might turn out dodgy as, but I'll likely post a step-by-step as I go so I can narrow down how it went. Time frame at this stage will be a couple of weeks - I work 80 hours a week so I gotta wait for a day off Slow your roll - I'll keep you updated!
  18. That's what Im thinking so far I'm thinking the slim set for my car at the minute, thought Grants does look really tough...
  19. So I've just crawled under the car, risking caltrop weed to the back and groped my way around all the struts are the same, and seem to be r33 gtst style Since the ones coming my way are better than what I have (and a bit lower), I'll be doing the swap. Seeing as the only price I'm paying for them is a Sunday afternoon and a carton of Corona, when they arrive I'll be taking pics, and posting my report for the betterment of Stagearizers everywhere. That's a few weeks ahead though, but stay tuned nonetheless - I guess it'll be left til then to determine the success/failure of the job. EDIT: I don't suppose any of this controversy could have stemmed from engine type? My Stag is the rb25, anyone feeling like groping a Neo and reporting details?
  20. well I'm getting them for the price of postage from QLD so I can only try plus they'll have a decent resale value around here considering the number of r33s getting around I think they're an inch or so low as well
  21. so they've different connectors on the front and back? so I'll be half right? Before we go further Yokotas, are your struts GTR or GTST struts? If the fronts are the same on gtr/gtst thena full set of gtst struts will fit on the Stagea?
  22. You sir, make my nether regions twitch in anticipation +1000 internets to you, you are truly a god among men
