  1. Cheers Granthem I'll see how I go with my set(S1) If you're all impressed enough, I might be convinced to supply any orders for the cost of materials+6pack
  2. QFT The 'kit' isn't ostentatious, its a subtle lip/skirt thing It certainly turns heads though Pics are Series 1 Dayz
  3. Anyone done this themselves? Just looking for some tips on getting the moulding right etc Doesn't seem like a hard job, and I'm rather familiar with fibreglass, but knowing me I'll stuff something vitally important
  4. Ina sad state of events, I wrote off my old pride and joy: A Honda HRV Freshly cashed up and at the yard looking at lancer wagons (I don't know why either) I spotted the DAYZ My pants went soggy (it probably helped that one of my mates had a serious r33) As to children: Nopers No wife, no kids, I'm just a bachelor with a house to myself The car turns heads,
  5. Before you spend bunches of dollars, have a look at your wheels Are the wheel nuts tight? Is there dried mud etc in the wheel? A bit of fun in the mud is enough to kick the balance out of your wheels So take to with a hose or just wriggle underneath and browse a bit
  6. So the short of it is, a mate has a set of r33 s2 struts floating around. Will they fit my s1 Stagea? In related matters, my current struts creak rather alarmingly on braking, I'm quite sure it isn't a sign of serious trouble, but the noise is discomforting nonetheless. So is there a way to stop this?
  7. Go the heat gun and eucalyptus oil It's gentler than thinners and wont cloud your paint a cut/polish afterwards is essential about the holes, your only lasting option is to spot weld them then bog/paint careful though, welders like to buckle panels
  8. 140 bucks? C34? I'm in!! anyone with extra cash might like to 'make up the numbers' as it were - there might be some ebay profits to be made in this
  9. have a look at the gmax enigmas They've got a tough amount of lip, and fit nicely on an r33
  10. Question Time! Any problems with cam gear covers? i.e: the timing sensor that is screwed onto it, is it ok just to pull off? I hear it's a pain in the arse to remove/reattach due to spacing or some such
  11. They are Rays and as such are made of win and legend. I say do it.

    S1 Dayz Kit

My Dayz is pearl white I notice though, that the bottom part of the front guard isn't pearl but a different shade of white... interesting but still looks good. And if I may hijack the thread, anyone know the paint code for the pearl white? Grey trims are the erk
  13. I can (sometimes) hear a crackling noise when I floor it, it just seems to be while it's during it's 'zomgogogoboost' phase Comes from the front of the car, I think it might be the turbo/intake but a mate reckons it's coming from the drivers side

    T-shirts

Mark me up for 1 SWAT shirt. No chance the shirts can be black?
  15. Series 1 Stagea RS4 (RB25det) Im thinking of chipping the ECU, is it the same as a GTR r32 ecu or is it completely different?
  16. I'm keen for some stickers, but mine will have to be posted, as I live a bunch of kays away from Perth
  17. I wouldn't go drilling anything just on principle but I assume you could do it, but remember there are the actual speakers to get past with the wires (would there be any 'noise' interference having the wiring so close?) My boost gauge wire/hose come through the air vent on top of the dash, this leads through a grommet through the firewall too so there was no drilling required. Your tweeters should work, but I'm no expert, maybe it depends on your head unit?
  18. hair dryer/heat gun and eucalyptus oil I'd be wary of metho, wouldn't it 'fog' the paint?
  19. Aha! So on a night drive tonight I notice it a little darker than normal in the cab. I look at my dash... all lights seem to be going... air con yes stereo yeah Hrm. I know whats missing. an iridescent blue circle in the form of a boost gauge The bloody light for the boost gauge. .... At least is wasn't the afro comb holder. *phew*
  20. Mate just took an immense wing off his r33, same problem. To prevent leaking and rust you'll need to weld, then bog
  21. Vaults on a hachi? RUSRS? ack! Not my style, but +1 for 20s, the carbroad minded females dig em apparently
  22. You can all stop panicking now In the end I used Eucalyptus oil and some cotton balls, worked a treat! Waxed over it all, like they never existed.
  23. Everything seems to work It's quite a thin wire I think I'll just tuck it away for the time being, and play around with it at my leisure
  24. So yesterday I devoted the day to my vehicle; detailing etc. (Its a Stagea), I took all the badges off the rear door with a heat gun and some fishing wire. They came off easy enough, but left a lot of the glue on the car. I scraped off as much as I dared, and applied a cut/polish to get rid of the rest.... only its all still there, the polish was hopeless. Am I not buffing hard enough or is there another product I can use for flawless paint? (I dont trust my shaky hands and a razor blade)
  25. It's not the turbo timer or boost controller. I can't seem to find anything that doesn't work because of the errant wire, so I suppose it isn't a big deal.
