  1. yeah the comperssor wheels gets like so close to the housing.... but i think under pressure ect it would touc for sure... i can see the scratch marks!!!... actually. i was just in the middle of pullin it out and have myself in a pickle of actually getting the thing out!!!... the turbo is high mounted .. i have undone all the dump pipe nuts and that is loose ( no gasket in there??) and under neath the 2 bolts closest to the front are undone... but the ones at the back cant come of cause they are blocked by the dump pipe//.. i cant get it out,,,any ideas??... oh,.. and when undo the oil lines...should i undo them at the turbo or like at the next join which is the hosing??... sorry guys but i hate my car in bits...HELP!!!... cheers alex
  2. hey guys.... i have posted previously about a noise under my hood.... and now i have just had a good look at the turbo..... from the front... when i grab the main axel ... and give it a giggle... it moves a little to freely for my liking... what is this in the turbo that needs fixing... bastard of a thing!!!... it got rebuilt like no more than 3 months ago!!!.... by garrett...what junk~!!
  3. yeah i got the first half of my piping done by them a few months ago.... wasnt to bad of a price...but the work was shockin...the welding joins and quality of the work isnt the best... rather try and find someone betta...lol..thanx for the feedback though guys!!!

  6. anyone with n e ideas what so ever.... ??... all bolts are tight...external astegate is tightened up and all... the only thing that looks wrong is an oil leak from the side of the engine (its tiny tiny tiny) and i dont think that would have n e thin to do weith it.... cause its been there for alot longer than the noise...
  7. hey dude..cheers for the reply.... ummm the gasket for the engine to manifold is almost brand new and just had all the exaust studs replaced with stronger lock tight bolt... and that there is all lookin sweet... all the bolts are there and seem to be tightened up beautifully.... its got me stumped and im freakin it.... lol... n e other ideas??... thanx man
  8. hey guys..... there is this dam noise that has only started about a day or so ago... i was driving home at night... and noticed that the car when it hits full boost (1 bar) a wistling, screeching kind of noise is comin from the turbo area... it is most noticable when u boot it in 2nd...and gets less and less as the gears go by... i checked for leaks and so forth.... and had a look in the front of the turbine to see if the props are all tight and everything seems fine... its a really weird noise... and i am sure its either the turbo or the external gate.... but stumped/... its a r33 with a t04e garret turbo high mounted..with all the bolt on mods.... any help would be appreciated... but this sound has me sketching!!!!!... thanks guys

  12. ey all..... i have a r33 and it has a microtech lt12 in her with all the bolt on mods... ummm... i have been sliding her a fair bit lately.... and really dont understand the whole rev limiter thingy.... i havnt bounced it off it yet... so i dont even know if it is limited.. i was sliding in 2nd at 6500rpm... would it be higher.... ??.. i just really dont know..or if i could put one in??... just dont know... any help is appreciated...cheers alex

  15. ey guys, i drive an r33 s1.. my mods are 3 1/2 inch exaust (all da way) t04e garret turbo, high mount manifold, 38mm external wastegate, hks fmic, bosch 040 fuel pump, turbosmart stage 1 BOV, turbotech boost t (running 14 pound) (JUNK, puttin on a trust one very soon), blitz pod filter, exedy heavy duty clutch, and microtech lt12 E.C.U... i had the car tuned almost 5k km ago,.... lately i have noticed that the car has no where near the power that it used to... when i give it some stick.. the boost shows up to hit the 14 pound mark as per usual.. but the turbo seems not to be sounding as tight (if that makes sense.) when it used to spool it would be a tight winding sound now it is more like a loud hissing sound... the car is goin in for a full tune and fluid change this week.. but i just want to have an idea what could be happening... i am suspect for leaks but it seems fine... however i am really suspect on my BOV.. there is oil spray from it onto the wheel guard (it hidden under the driver side) and the valve is easily moved by my fingers when i have checked it.... anyone have any idea's??.. n e help would be appreciated... thanks guys!! alex

  19. TURBOTECH = JUNK!!!..... DONT GO THERE.. I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE SWEET BUT ONCE U START RUNNING FROM ABOUT A BAR UP ON BOOST.... THE THING JUST DROPS BOOST LIKE A MOFO..

  21. rob @ rank rotary.. i have an lt12.. was hard to find a good tuner..but these guys are decent!!... i was stoked with the work they did for me... little pricey though

  24. the window in the 33's are a bitch... heard of so many giving up... mine did for ages.. i pulled it apart (going off a DIY on here) .. u can fix it yourself rather easily... its all in that bastard black box..when u take off the door panel u will see a black near the metal handle... take it off and unplug it... pull out the circuit bored and then plug it in... and press those switches on the circuit bored... 99% sure your window will work from there... some say resolder the whole thing (which is probably right... but just fiddle see if u get n e where.. i went to test mine with a multimetre and the thing sparked at me and has worked ever since.. .. but that black box is the suspect.. sorry i couldnt help more but... the day i tried to fix mine luck was on my side.. so i dont really know what i did...lol..
