  1. I agree it is stupid but let them do it.... When these silly people that dob in cars see it i am sure they will call the hoon hotline on you to make a point and say you were doing something while your car is on the truck then you have reason to get out of it false evidence...
  2. Do you have any picks of the damage caused to your bike? get some cause a hit that big (that they are claiming) would of bent the frame on the bike or at least busted the forks or shifted the engine, if none of this happened then there is nothing they can do you for. Is your bike registered? If not then the worst they can do is call the police saying you were riding an unregistered bike, with no evidence you were the details you then gave them were to say you saw someone hit the car and ride off not that it was actually you that did it, it now becomes a their word against yours and they will have to take you to court and will loose cause you can prove no damage to your bike I have been there before...
  3. Dont know if this will help at all i figure cant be much different.. http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/files/Blitz_SBC_i-D_manual.pdf that is for the ID... took a while to find in english Good Luck
  4. Heat is in many aspects you have coolant lines to help keep the turbo cool and like i said i have seen and own one and have never seen one break-up how you speak, but we all maintain our cars perfectly not using $10 selastic to fix coolant pipes as you suggested above... i tend to find the people that blow theirs is either poor maintanence and bad driving or track use with excesive heat for long periods of time. One of the best ways to move heat from the turbo is a nice open dump pipe as the 4" i have to get it down to the exhaust... As everyone has said a poorly looked after car will fall apart a immaculate one will always last longer... Plus the tuning shop i went/go to has no problem doing this as it was their advise who tunned my apexi after i took the IMPUL ecu out which was also running 14psi.
  5. I will have to check on the series(it is a 99 so i figure series 1 off a guess)... But from experience it is not so much the boost that will kill a turbo as it will only get so much(the limit) it is more heat that has an issue, things like oil temp, coolant temp and exhaust temp etc...(mine spits flames it gets that hot sometimes )... i have it set to 14psi for everyday using a SBC-id so no spikes and when on a cruise i only bump it back to 13.5 psi unless my oil starts to get above 110 celcius then i will bump it back further, but i have only ever once got it that hot on a hot day with 4500Km oil. your more then welcome to check it out on the next cruise if you like
  6. rated is not fact... same as rated fuel useage My bro also has a GTT doing the same thing and neither turbo is hi-flowed
  7. I have had my modified GTT for 2 years imported myself, had mods in Japan very tasteful and the guy seemed to look after it well. I have always given all my cars what for but i am very anal about servicing and i have never had a problem with any of them, it all come to maintanence and the right quality for the car and you wont have a problem.... Also get the right tunner to tune it if you want to power it up a little, i run 14psi off the stock turbo and never had a noise or problem...
  8. Hey might sound odd but can you post up a pic of the brake booster.... i had a brake specialist test my old TX-5 booster and it was fine then i had the same problem.. i found there was a one way valve in the booster due to boost and it was the wrong way around so please check you dont have one or it is the right way around.... also you say you tested the line,,, did you actually start the car with a vacume tester on it then rev to boost to see the difference?? and what was the difference??
  9. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/saf..._Stats_2007.pdf this is the annual stats..... more then 50% of deaths are 26-59 yrs of age for 2007 ie 434/796 but yet they say it is young people (17-25 yrs) which is less then half of this only 200 people.... so who is the real problem and this is their stats what is published.... there is also more deaths in both male and female of age group 40-59 and 26-39 then there is 17-25 also proven in this same document..... so once again who is the real hoon issue?? maybe these real stats should be published hey just my 10 cents and i could still come up with a lot more I wish they would post all stats to really wake up the population....
  10. Hey Boro, How old is this one? Is your price negotiable as i live in Perth and would need to pay postage? Peter
  11. The document says a few different things about power increase such as the part that states the maximum power the chasis come with... there is a few ways to interpurate as in all governement documents so it depends on the person or if you have an engineer then depends on them. Just read really careful and know your stuff so no one can bluff you
  12. Cheers Brad, My bro has tein and yeah they dont reach it seems to be about 8-10 inches but not 100% sure... Might try X-Speed they may even have an apexi one
  13. Hi Guys i have a 34 GTT with apexi N1 coilovers, i need to soften them up a little but do not have my hex key and unfortunately a standard hex wrench is not long enough to reach down the shock so i need to find someone with one for apexi or i think HKS will also fit. Please if anyone can help me i will drive anywhere in perth to use it and will only be in your driveway for 30 seconds . Cheers in advance.

    Pits!

As far as i know the only way to have the fibreglass fenders on the car is if they have an engineering certificate to state that they meet crash standards ie not to weak, will not splinter and have crumple zones in place, sorry to bear the bad news, however there would be no way to tell if these crumple zones are in place as well as under guard supports if all the plastic under guards are bolted in place, but they may request the certificate.
  15. If you ask for it and write it down they are more likely to leave you alone, i have done it many times myself.
  16. Guys from what i was told when i was doing stereo drags a couple of years back, the noise is not allowed to be heard from inside a house while your driving past. The thing is how and when is this allowed to be tested, is it windows up or down? is it with the house closed up or windows open? Basically it is up to the cop and how must of a noob you are when they pull you over (hint: one thing that works for me when a cop gives me shit, ask for his name and badge number, so you can file a report against them and i am yet to have my bonnet popped )
