  1. Duncan, I agree with your comments, but perhaps a little more organisation and better expectation setting would have made everyone a little happier, the arvo was run like old school, I think I had more track time from 2pm then I did for everything prior, I did have an enjoyable day, sh!ty morning, but a great arvo. Enough said. I did forget to mention a thankyou for the marshals and everyone who put in on the event. Sorry about having to look at my a$$ but you asked for it Duncan. All, there was one casulty on the day, my track s**t car has spun a bottom end, should be up and going by the next track day, we have a spare GT4 bottom end sitting around. Briefly the Aaron Mcgill details are as foolows. Phase 3 May 29 Oran Park Grand Prix Track: For the driver who loves the thrill of clipping an apex, or powering hard out of a turn, we have the 2nd of our 2006 Grand Prix Track drive days. Auto-Motion will provide you with expert in car training from drivers who are actually involved in competitive motor sport. manned flag posts for safety, and a fantastic BBQ lunch. All in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The cost for the full day on the GP track is $239.00. I know its a Monday which costs you a sick day or an anual day, but with the grid starts and all day passanger time its well worth and price. Im working on a group discount for SAU, I will post up a new thread once I have had a chance to chat to Aaron. I have about 8-10 people from work coming, there will be the four of us who where out there this weekend, Myself, Ralph (grey 200SX), Steve (White WRX), Shane (R32 GTS-T broken!), I have a SS Doore, 626, C230 Merc and another wrx. See you all out there.
  2. Yeah, it was a good day, I was a little pissed with the wasted time and the 10 cars on the track rule, but one of the RENEWS guys came up at the end and said it was mainly due to the new CAMS officials pushing them around. 1.22 Im happy thats, it my fastest lap time. We can now get ready for the next AArom Mcgill day in 4 weeks, I will post it up Monday morning. Did anyone get any shoots of me on 3 wheels into turn 1?
  3. I will bid $100 providing John does the work himself in a skirt! (withdrawn, I spent 15 min trying to get John to commit, he said he would do the work, but not in a skirt barsted!)
  4. Just bought the 1kg fire extinguisher, on special at Supa cheap Auto for $20, $12 off.
  5. Fatz, I could be wet as well, yeah baby yeah!
  6. fatz, I pick it up on Wednesday, I will let you know. Mmmm Terri on R34 rims with porsche cup slicks interesting!
  7. Kluger felt like a sponge, terri drove like a sedan and the 7 seats option is the best on the market.
  8. the terri's rims are 17 x 7 with some 4wd tyre on it. I was looking to keep them until I re-sold the car.
  9. SiksII, every panel was damaged by the 20cm x 20 cm wood pools I hit, and the fence dragged accross the roof, bonnet and boot, to ensure everything was damaged.
  10. Lets see what they do to track times first, they they cant be that good, they were given to me for free!
  11. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Im still a little ho hum about the falkens but there is very little info for SUV tyres. The load rating on STD tyres is the issue, im out of my knowledge base with SUV and 4WD tyres, Im still looking and doing my research. Thanks
  12. I just had a set of 2nd hand GT3 porche cup slicks fitted to my spare set of GTR rims, although they are suppose to be 240's they only just fit on the 9' rims. Lets see if they last a little longer then the last set of yoka's I had!
  13. Yes, it was an AUIII and I think it had Dunlop Monza's. Im about to buy some MKW MK21's with Falken Ziex S/Tz04's I cant find a lot of info on this tyre, but it is a SUV/4WD tyre
  14. A warning to all, Last Thursday night of the long weekend, I left Lithgow with the wife and 2 my year old boy, on my way to my mums house near Mudge. It had been raining, the road was a little slippery, so I set the cruise at a little under 100. I got about 30 min out of Lithgow and approached a 85Km bend. Thinking "Im not in the GTR" I turned the cruise control off, in an instant, the car kicked out 90Deg and drove me into the wrong side of the road. I counter steered to stop us going through the fence and into the trees, where there was a 5-10M drop. The car got into a flat spin, we first hit the rear of the car into a 20cm X 20 cm white fence poll, then 2-3 of them into my side, then the wife's side then my side again as we did 2 x 360's up the road. When we came to a stop we were unable to open any doors, had to kick the wife's door open and get the boy out from the front, lucky, we all walked away without a scartch! The fence did just enough to stop us and keep us away from the tree's and 5-10M drop. If there where any cars coming the other way I have no doubt we would all be dead. When the cop arrived at the sceen, he commented the only reason we were OK was because the fence stops anyone doing the speed limit. I attribute the accident to the tyres, I will never allow the manufacturer determine what tyres I use. I research the best tyres for the GTR, but I let ford dictate the best tyres for the family, never again. The 01 Fairmont was writen off yesterday and I recieved a neg driving ticket (probably lost 1/2 my license due to double points), this means nothing to me because the family is still alive. It looks like the wife has bought a new black, 7 seat territory, but my first act will be to buy some 18' rims with some good wet weather tyres. The moral to the story, have good tyres on the car, drive to the speed limit and stay alive!
  15. Someone will be happy, but it is an 87 model and it looks like its had a hard life!
  16. kyle is just playing the field fatz's!
  17. I nice buy if it stays around the 3 mark. But it looks like my deal is done anyway, but thanks for the heads up.
  18. KING KYLE, He did a 300Kw@4w upgrade to my R34 Vspec II. The project was sub $10k, kyle did all the work, its been 40,000Km and 6 track days since the upgrade and the car has not missed a beat. Check out "Go Fast Central" Kyle is the man! Fatz, Your a mad mad man, absolute!
  19. After 16,000 I had to retire my T1R's I had torn a steel band on the front right and the rubber was pulling away. Except for the life of the tyre I was very happy with them. I did about 5 track days and distroyed the edges and still had some tread depth left. If the tyre had of held together I probably would have got another 4000km out of them, but could not have run another track day on them. I have just gone with a Yoka E300, These are not performance tyres, but are doing the job. I dropped 1.5 sec at OP Sth cct, so they are no way as good as the T1R's, as you would expect. Yoka E300 6/10 Dry 5/10 Wet 8/10 Value 265x35x18 $375 each I expect to get 25-30,000 km out of this set. Im still on the lookout for some second hand semi's as track set of rubber. If anyone has some please let me know. GTR R34 Rims 18x9's
  20. Quicknissan, Please PM me your details, I might be interested if they fit an R32, which I believe they should.
  21. Drunkan, I know how much you love driving with a stiffy! I have a trailer if needed with the family Falcon to tow it. The last option I can always borrow a trade plate!
  22. This car is unregisterable, but is 1/2 cost of a registered one. But notice taken
  23. Looking forward to it John. See you there
  24. What the hell would I do with a RB31DETT!. Before I start going fast I want to have the brakes, tyres & Suspension sorted. There will be plenty of beers had before we start dropping in rocket enginees!
  25. Trust, I will be taking the usual seats, trim and aircon out, but I have not thought past this point. Roll cage? maybe if a cheap one comes past.
