  1. Hi Guys, I'm having an issue with the car pulling left. Even when I'm in a right cambered lane the car will pull left. I just had my alignment checked at fulcrum and their answer was off centre castor bushes to correct it. I'm no expert so please correct me if I'm wrong but my settings might be a slight cause. left front toe +1.9mm right front toe +2.2mm left rear toe 0.0mm right rear toe -1.5mm Castor is +6.80 and +6.68 and I did see some play when they had it on the machine.
  2. All done DB1170 is correct as is DB1220 for the rears. They are $92 a set (same for rears) from Repco. Bedding in was quick and easy and the feel over stock items is quite noticable. I'm sure there are many many better pads out there but I only drive on the street so they suit me fine. Fitting is suprisingly easy, just crack the bleed nipple and with a bit of pressure the pistons retract.
  3. Thanks guys, Pretty sure the DB1170's are right, guess I'll find out tomorrow Any tips/tools needed for compressing the pistons to fit the new pads? Issues with ABS? Maybe disconnecting the battery?
  4. Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me the part #'s for the front and rear pads for an R34 GTT? Are they the same as any other model? After alot of searching I can't find any direct #'s from Bendix and I'm getting conflicting info on similar aplications ie: same as 33GST-t etc. If not Bendix part #'s any other part # will do so I can at least tyr and match it Thanks Chris
  5. Hi all, I've decided to go with the Tungsten silver too but was unable to see it a Supercheap? They had about 10-15 types of silver but no tungsten? Could someone please let me know the code so I can either order it in or see if they have changed the name Thanks.
  6. Ahhhh now I get it Yours looks great BTW! Did you use metho then plastic primer then paint? Thanks.
  7. I've read through this forum quite a few times now and when it comes to the red and blue lines on the air-con I'm a bit confused http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/st...fault/blink.gif From what I've read you melt the tabs holding the knob to remove it but from what I can see the lines aren't part of the knob but more a part of the whole air con panel? From the pics people have posted they have painted the raised part around the lines too? do you just mask the lines? Are my eye's deceiving me? Help.........
  8. Ignore this, yes is the answer!
  9. Just to clarify, does the single pin white plug "antenna amplifier" wire go into the stock wiring harness? When using a nissan adapter harness will it have a relevent wire to connect to? What I think it is is the power antenna wire?
  10. Hi Guys, I just had my alignment done and these are the final measurements: Rear Axle Camber Left -1.57 Camber right -1.53 Toe Left +2.1 Toe Right +2.1 Front Axle Camber Left -1.38 Camber Right -1.28 Toe Left +1.8 Toe Right +1.8 I drive mostly highway K's for now, from what I seem to have read slight toe in is desired. is +toe toe in or out? Are these settings normal for an R34 GTT? Thanks in advance, Chris

Did the kit just bolt in with no cutting? How have the pipes been run? What sort of bumper do you have? Any pics?
  12. P.S if you look at my last pic I didn't take the seatbelts out, the only thing I did was feed them through the mount on the seat back to remove the seat
  13. Take out the seats first, bottom has 2 bolts seen easily, then the back has 2 bolts that are uncovered when the base comes out. lift the back towards the roof and it will come off its hooks. The parcel shelf is tricky but after you undo all the child restraints you bend it in the middle (sounds dodgey but trust me it wont break) and push down on the edges near the side trims. The side trims clip into the shelf and when you push down on the shelf they will free themselves. Slide forward and you're done! I will be putting speakers in, and I'm off to some stores tomorrow to listen to an array of speakers and choose the best for my needs. A little side note, everything I have read on this forum (which is alot) points to the rear speakers being 6.5", this is not the case with mine, they are factory speakers clearly marked 16cm (6"). Some R34's come with a premium sound option which have a double woofer set up but I have no idea on the sizes. Also this is obviously a coupe and I have no idea on the sedan set up. The space between mounting holes is 11cm, I've been led to beleive that 6.5" speakers will fit and by the look of the space they will easily as long as they mount with the 11cm spacing I will go that option. Anyone put 6.5" speakers in without cutting/drilling new holes?
  14. I just pulled my rear speakers out and they are shot (see pic). Anyway whilst the parcel shelf was out I figured I'd do something about the unsightly holes in the speaker covers caused by the child restraints being put in during compliance. I got some speaker cloth (I had some lying around but it's available at any trim shop) and a hot glue gun ($12 from supercheap). the covers unscrew easily from underneath and the logos just come off by hand. Then it's just a matter of cutting the cloth and gluing to the underneath. Take care to do a small section at a time and stretch the cloth so that it is tight. That's it I think they look better than stock especially considering they had holes in them.
  15. I did a multimeter test and couldn't find one. I ended up splicing into the cigarette lighters wire. worked a treat, it now auto dims when I turn the lights on
  16. Just finished installing it in my 34 today Very happy with it, it has an inbuilt mic for hands free operation and stores all your phone contacts. The DVD screen although small is crisp and clear. The menu system is easy to use and pleasing on the eye. The touch screen works well and the motion sensor although gimicky is still pretty cool. You can hook up a USB flash drive or any other MP3 player aswell as any iPod easily. All in all I am hugely impressed with it's useability and it looks right at home in my dash

    Nismo Plates

I was at JB Hi-fi today and saw a very nice Black 34 with 34GTT plates, they were personalised plates with nismo logos, Anyone know how to get them? I can't seem to find them on the PPQ website so I'm thinking they might be business plates?
  19. Thanks Chris, I just finished my install and everything is working fine Here's a pic, Thanks to you and Mark for your headunit removal thread and everyone else on SAU. It's great to have somewhere to turn to to ask stupid questions and receive great advice. Speakers are next so look out for more silly Q's!
  20. Thanks, I just trial fitted the unit and it seems my wiring has worked Now to put the dash back together.....
  21. Hi, I'm currently hooking up my new headunit and I'm pretty sure the R34 wiring harness doesn't have an illumination/dimmer wire? Is it ok to hook up my headunits wire to the cig lighters illumination wire? Thanks
  22. This is a pic of the adapter I have
  23. Hi, I have an adapter that came with my car. The thing is is that the car came with no headunit (removed somewhere between Japan and Aus). I have just purchased a new headunit and I'm not sure if the adapter will work? it has an Aus spec plug on it (aswell as some other kind) and the other end fits into the stock R34 antenna plug. Is this the same as a double diversity adaptor? Will I receive Aus radio stations with an aussie headunit and the current adapter I have? Thanks in advance.
  24. Well I had success with the parcel shelf, probably will get some decent 2 ways to replace them with. Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question as I haven't taken off my front door trims yet, but where are the factory spots for the tweeters?
  25. Thanks, I will brave it on the weekend Does anyone know if the front speakers are the same as the rears? My rears are stuffed and I'm thinking of putting the fronts in the rears and putting in a set of splits into the front.
