Faxed, twice, the first one didnt come out (no amount of beating could fix that fax machine) so we sent em from the car yard next door, was just shy of a month ago.

How long does it normall take for the joining process to go through?

Ok now im scratchin my head... My horn has a mind of its own! Its beeps until the fuse blows when the cars not running and with no key in the ignition, usually it likes to do it in the middle of the night to wake me up (if i forgotten to pull the fuse when i come home, i dont like driving with out it..) Sometimes its just a quick beep, but mostly it goes till the fues goes bang! Ive checked the horn button and I can hear it make contact with a firm press, there is no play in the button (95 gtst airbag), ive changed the horn when I got the cooler fitted, ive replaced the relay and the fuse! What else is in the horn circuit that can be replaced? Im guessing its not a short somewhere because one would resonably assume that it would beep while driving (bumps etc) but it never never happens when im driving the car. Any suggestions as it has got me completely baffled! Cheers.

I run an EMS, but most people are going for Apexi Power FC lately. The apexi is good because it is plug and play, ie you plug it in and chuck it on the dyno for a tune.

Im not speaking from experience but Im guessing if you put the magnets near relays and what not that maybe it could hold it open or closed? The install looks sweet as though dude, a lot of effort there, how do the free to air subs sound/go compared to boxed woofers?

Ive heard a rumour, nothing more... My mechanic's R8 has QUIK TRAK and he told me he got something in the mail, apparently its not quite disaterous yet.... But I've heard nothing. Will do some research and get back to you.

OMG! Tell me you are insured in someone elses name (parents/friend), is it modded if so how hard? Just cars laughed at me and said $5k so they rekoned if I went 3rd party with them for awhile and kept it clean then they would prolly insure me in a few years (this is goin back 18months now). My record is spotless and im 23.

NFI about the carwatch dude, i just called them direct and booked in an install. They came to me (my mechanics workshop) put him in a spare stall and let him work his magic. Ive got quik trak installed and they a pretty responsive. I dont have comprehensive insurance although i would like it, I have 3rd party property so If i hit you then at least your covered, and ill just have to cut my losses and run, till next march when I can get cheaper insurance for it.... You really need to think about it though, I only drive my car 3/4 times a month, if its a daily driver then I rekon you would be nuts not to have full comp (read theft/accident/weather damage) Good luck.

Call QUIK TRAK. And find out, I think mine was around $2K for install, and monitoring is 1 dollar a day. QUIK TRAK also comes with its own alarm, and central locking kits. So it doesnt need factory anything...... Good luck

oh yay thats where i got mine done! With fuel is the standard injectors ok? But I assume I need a new pump and regualtor is this correct?

Where did you get the hi flow at and did you get the bearing cartridge replaced as well? Im getting slightly paranoid here now

The highflow cost me $1850 but dont look at their webstite (GCG) cause apparently they dont high flow them to what they used to because they were having problems with surging.... About the difference I have NFI still waiting for it to be drivable, give me two weeks

Yeah im interested too as my turbo just came back from GCG (sydney) for a high flow, havent been able to drive it yet as cooler and clutch is still being fitted...

Hey, Im not a member of SAU (Yet waiting for my car to come back from shop then ill join ) Friday 2 weeks ago, I popped in to ADVAN to pick up a Greddy cooler kit for my r33, im not sure of names but the dude who sold it to me was really great! He told me he had no kits left but he had the one on the display (hanging from the ceiling) I gave it a quick checkout and looked perfect so the guys says ok no probs and he pulls the box open and SPILLS all the packing foam onto the floor of the shop whacks the cooler in then shoves as much of the foam back in as possible (keeping in mind I rocked up at 5:30pm on a Friday arfternoon), then still with packing foam on the floor that wouldnt fit, he tapes up the box and says since its been on display ill knock $50 off for ya! Now thats what I call service. I left and I think the poor bugger was headed off for the vacuum cleaner to pick up the rest of the stuff All i can say on unique how ever is that it was really hard for me to spend my money cause no one wanted to serve me...I went in wanting to buy a boost controller (apexi acvr) the dude seemed busy so I waitied 20 minutes for an aknowlegement before I walked out, went down to Croydon where I walked in the door and the dude pounced on me, I walked out the door 2 minutes later with a blitz controller instead....
