My car is missing a "plug" or "plugs" from the whole u circled out in the photo and all seems to be normal? Mine you, my car does have an after market exh w/dump pipe....not sure if that makes a difference but still lol Something about a plug expanding and retracting and if you dont replace them more plugs fall out and then kill your turbo? I think this guy is pi**ing in your pocket, although im still going to check my car when i get home tonight and research that one for ya!

Haha yeah that has happened with me before and an undercover cop car....seems as through it is only the traffic cops that bother with searching your car and finding things to defect.

It should pass with the different front/back rims as long as the tyres arent FAT or HUGE lol or anything like that....also as long as the rim doesnt stick out from the guard. But yeah you should be ok

Yes the engine is stock, stock oil pump etc. No I don't have an oil catch can. I have noticed some perspiration around the rocker covers in the past but there are no noticeable oil leaks at all.

Hello once again I went on a hills run yesterday through Chittering with some mates. After a good 1.5 hours of revving the car hard constantly and speeds above 100km/h, we all stopped for about 30mins for a breather/etc. My car was running right on song, engine temp was perfect, oil pressure was normal, boost all good, etc etc. I opened up the bonnet to check the engine for any other problems and saw that oil had splattered everywhere over the right hand side of the engine bay (where the turbo is). I had a quick look and could not see any leaks. I let the car cool off a bit, then we kept going. After seeing that the car had been leaking oil i wasn't pushing as hard, although the engine kept singing, not a single thing was out of place. I came home last night, degreased the engine bay, cleaned everything up, jumped in the pit and hand a look underneath after removing the stone guard/cover. I could not see any leak/s at all, so i'm not too sure what is happening. My suggestion is that it is an oil leak only appearing under high pressure, i.e. driving it hard like i was yesterday. Any of you guys got any suggestions? As always, any help is always appreciated!

Phone number to book in is 1300 782 713. Make sure the yellow sticker (defect notice) does not pass the "expiry date" the cops write on it. If it does pass the "expiry date" you will only be able to drive your R32 to the inspection centre, provided the registration on your R32 has not expired.

Damn i wish i had come on this cruise on Saturday night! Although on Sunday i went for a hills run through Chittering for a few hours where the Targa West rally is held....min speed 100km/h+ Is so much fun, i will def come to the next cruise!

Haha i always seem to create threads that turn into debates I think i'll try to Motul 300v chrono oil and see how it goes. I put in 4.5 litres of oil when i last changed it, so it wasn't full but it was close to it. I was thinking, as the oil passes through the turbo, maybe it is burning oil? My brother told me he saw a little bit of blue smoke but that was a few weeks ago and he recommended changing the oil to a diff viscosity and it shouldnt burn any.... Anywho, thank you all for your input, i will try a different oil and let you know how it goes!

Lol yeah i did that and the dipstick said farrk all lol oh well, maybe it was burning the oil coz of a combination of driving hard and wrong viscosity?

I just checked the oil during my lunch break, was barely any in the sump :s yet the dash oil-light wasn't on and the engine sounded normal o.O Anywho, just brought 2 litres of that nulon till i completely change it on saturday.....
