Hello! - My Search For A White V35
carizma replied to -wB-'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Hey wB, FYI, a dealer might have one in stock but if you found what you wanted we could get you the 03/04 model for a bit cheaper, around the 30K mark, and it only takes a few weeks to get here and comply. These usually reatil between 33-35K on a showroom floor. Regards Paul @ Carizma -
Import Advice - Series 3 R33 Gtr
carizma replied to evilGTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Hi EvilGTR, At 25K budget, its a tough ask, even if you could find one at this price you might not be too happy with the condition of the car. 30k would get you what your looking for. For your information we also do the complience for $2000, and we would also do all the paperwork for you. If your having trouble locating the car we can help you with that too for a special SAU price of $550. Regards Paul @ Carizma -
Honest Broker With Good Contacts
carizma replied to ips's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Dear John, There are a handful of good brokers aroundf, jspec, prestige and us aswell. We have have contacts on the ground in Japan to do all these inspections, the owner Jon has worked in Japan doing exporting for several years while we have been importing here for 12 years. With in your budget, we suggest you forget the E51, especially because the compliance is still very expensive however the E50 or the V35 premium are easily achieveable in your budget. Our guess is youll be able to get something really good for around the 15K mark, and that being fully complied. Anyway, hope that helps John Paul -

Just make sure if you buy an unregisted car its from a dealer because a dealer is always liable. -
R33 Gtr - Vin Problem/import
carizma replied to sunnycoast's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
This was a pre 2000 complied car, the Green compliance plate. Bank then VIN numbers were issued by state RTA authorities not DOTARS. For Victoria all imports started with 6T91MPV.... you one starts with 6T91MPA so it was complied in another state most likely the ACT. Compliance was a whole different ball game back in those days, you will notice you seat belts would have been changed too which they don't do anymore. -
If you want a dealers point of view as to which is the better seller the C34 manual will outsell an M35 any day. M35s are proving to be a tough sell now that the initial thrill of the newness of them has worn off. This is not just my opinion but other dealers too. This means when they get a bit older they will even be harder to sell so if you are thinking about resale forget the M35. jon@carizma

cheers for that. Yeah, it's a good ride, full stainless steel exhaust, air pod, suspension, turbo timer, good quality mods, too, not the cheapo stuff. Just looking for a nice home. We're doing mainly 34's and v35's lately, so we probably won't get many 33's in the future. We've been in the business 12 years, but are based in Melbourne so obviously don't hang out on the ACT forum much. We're on the importing and VIC ones a lot though.

thought it was implied! we're a car dealer mate, we have no shame! haha. Normally we just discount the $900 off the price, but since you're from SAU, if you're interested, send us a PM and we can give you our bottom price. cheers, David @ Carizma

How about a white beauty? We've got a series 2 1997 33 GTS-T for $13,900. Turbo-back exhaust, wheels, see our website for more details. We're in Melbourne by the way. Good luck regardless! Cheers, David @ Carizma

Different Levels Of Compliance?
carizma replied to byebye's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
The headlights are supposed to be modified to accept H1 globes. Windshield is usual part no. M1G4 for the 34 coupes, there could be others that pass the ADR as well, haven't seen the evidence recently. Both headlights and windscreen have to be roadworthy as well of course, which is where you're more likely to run into problems rather than with the compliance of them. David @ Carizma -
That's a good idea....I'd still recommend side intrusion bars for safety reasons though, especially on an R32 GTR. Remember, there's a reason why the government require them, and it's not for looks.
-
Hey, sorry for the confusion. No, she is still importing under the SEVS scheme, which is different than the pre-89 scheme. The rules you quoted still apply for the pre-89 scheme, and side intrusion bars still apply for both schemes as well. cheers, David @ Carizma
-
Cheers, mate, yeah, our workshop is Raw Performance Imports, she called us I believe. 15 year rule is now pre-1989 rule, so cars have to be before 1989 to fall under this rule. Good luck with your compliance quest DNGRUS, give us a call if you have any other questions! Cheers, David @ Carizma

We sell turbo 4-door R34's for $16,900 price point usually. (manual, auto would be less but we don't touch them, too hard to sell, non-turbo 4-doors we sell at $13,900 price point usually) 21k would be for 2 door MT GTT's. But then again, I'm not sure you'd be looking at the same types of customers for these cars. Probably compare it to JZX pricing like someone said earlier would be a better idea. cheers, David @ Carizma -
Hey mate, sucks bad, we definitely understand, our 32 gtr was stolen last month, never heard from again. Good luck with everything. We'll keep our eyes out for ya. cheers, David @ Carizma

Different Levels Of Compliance?
carizma replied to byebye's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
You don't need SEVS compliance, that personal import compliance plate is a federal scheme, so it's already qualified to be in the country. Here in VIC, you'd need an engineer's certificate, I think NSW is the same. SA you just take it to regency I believe. Anyways, like Chris said, check with your local state road agency to find out what you need to register a personal import (yellow plate). cheers, David @ Carizma -
Blue Slip Help In Nsw
carizma replied to StageaBen's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
We're VIC based, but hopefully this gets you started in the right direction: www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi03_rev3.pdf good luck! david @ Carizma -
Only buy interstate if its from a dealer, not sure why you would buy from NSW, cars in Vic are cheaper by far. To answer the initial question RWC in either state is not worth the paper its written on so if you really want the car it it checked by a mechanic that knows what he is doing and not a mate of the seller either.

The spec S non turbo exists in Japan however it can't be imported as it doesn't meet the power to wight ratio to make it an eligible import. The Autech non turbo version is eligible however. There are around 25000 spec R's made that we can import up to 08/2000 but only around 200 Autech non turbo versions meaning that are are few and far between in Japan and at the current exchange rate not much cheaper than the turbo version so I doubt you will see any of these come into Australia for a while. Few Questions. Help Please.
carizma replied to Luckieee's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Quit hogging all the good questions, Terry! I'll take care of number 1 since you're tired.... According to the most recent scientific analysis, an R34 non-turbo driving at 45 km/h will be 10% slower than an R33 at 50 km/h, however, this all depends on the distance of the pedal to the floor panel. If you ever want to drag-race an R33 non-turbo while driving an R34 non-turbo, make sure you ask for at least a 1 second handicap, it's only fair.
