  1. im with him on this case. I hate it when cars dont have cats in them. They smell like shit. I have a cat in mine and i can safely say i have no black shit @ all on my rear bumper. All the cars ive seen with no cat or that is fitted with a decat does. Do the right thing by ur car and get a hi flow.
  2. Yeah he is doing a full service of the gearbox while its apart. (replacing all seals gaskets etc etc). Thanks for the info.. when im mean riding i meant when you take off from a stationary position, i ride the clutch for about half a second to help the car get off smoothly. Or is there another way to do it ?
  3. 1000km? isnt it usually 500? And it will affect the dyno as you arent allowed to boost it or drive it hard. And thats what ur doing on a dyno !
  4. just buy some lightweight rims! for example p1s. problem solved.
  5. Yep That correct With the cutting of the mspec bar u can still retain it. Just chop out that middle bit. I welded the remaining joints for extra strength before putting it back. Due to the fact i have welder and it takes only 10 mins to weld it. Still wont b as strong but better then having nothing there at all.
  6. if he doesnt mind change the fluids there 2 years is a long time... oil is very easy to do as with most fluids. If thats still no go i would seriously think about getting a flat bed to bring it home. LAst thing u what is the oil that has already broke down or coolant thats all brown and dirty... usually its 6months or 5000km for a performance car or normal car is 12 months or 15 000 - 25 000 .
  7. alright guys thanks for all the advice we shall see how it all goes on march 17th!
  8. ok.. some say drive it like normal some say dont ride the clutch on take off. So what is it? this is what im getting http://www.exedy.com.au/CushionButtonClutchKit.aspx
  9. Thats what i did. But its getting increaslying hard to find the Mspec front bumper.
  10. i just filed it all down then after that used sand paper to work out the non flush parts. Yeah respray afterwards... did it myself didnt come up to bad ! Tho i use a professional spray gun since i have a compressor.
  11. a cushion button clutch is a puk clutch as well... tho its 8 puk. so pretty much jump off the clutch as fast as possible?
  12. ive done it easy to do i got a spare r33 m spec bar cut the middle out and reapinted it. oso got to cut the reo bar. plasma cutter made short work of that. ill find pics now and post them up. If u need any help or advice please feel free to give me a pm. Edit:
  13. Hey guys my cars getting its clutch changed next week with a exedy cushioned button clutch. atm i am still running the stock clutch ... which has started to go. Was just wondering is there a particular way i should drive it? Iveheard many different things about riding the clutch when taking off. Any one care to throw some advice at me.? Cheers, Brendan
  14. 2 litres? I did my front bumper my self and use only 300mls, and thats with three coats of paint. Of crse you mix in thinners etc into the mix. However if you get someone to eye match it, there is a mim buy of i think 500mls. I bought a litre as i want to do my side skirts and pods. Dont forget the clear coat as well.
  15. Good Cruise I would of liked to of driven but unfornt. my clutch doesnt agree with that. Was riding shotgun in the blue r34. Coastal runs are by far the best!
  16. Some skyline owners when u see them on the road... you either smile, thumbs up or wave and they just stare blankly at you. Snobby f*cks O and when a old BMW tries to race you. And turns up his audio louder to show off. bah.
  17. 90% of r33 from the 1995 are actually series 2 engines Mine is. So i would say u need to exhange the coils for a s2 one.
  18. mine sits at bit unde rhalf way no matter how hot or cold. As this is the optimum engine temp. So iwould say b4 it wasnt acting normally due to failing pump and now its fixed and working normally How did u smash your old one? or do u mean it just failed due to age?
  19. I did post it in the WTB sectin just in case.... So heres the deall my friend wants a turbo timer... pref. jap brand and in pretty good nick. PM or leave a msg here with brand and price etc. Cheers, Brendan
  20. i would finish off that exhaust before putting in ecu. Otherwise later down the track when u change it u will need to re tune it again. T28s are getting a bit old now ? I remember my friend using a T28 in his accord and he blew it up!. Unsure on the boost controller on this aussie ecu, but if its anything like the powerfc boost controller i would recommend getting a 2nd unit.. maybe hks evc 5 or something of the similar or a gredy pro if ur after soemthing cheaper.. As the power fc one doesnt hold the boost all that well... thats all i can think of atm.
  21. clutch is getting worse and worse!! So trying not to drive it atm. and the clutch wont b arriving to my house till end of the week... May need to ride shot gun with someone.....
  22. happened to my friends euro he sent it to automasters and 60 bucks later it was all fixed.
