I'm looking at R34 GTRs too. Can someone explain why a V-Spec is so much better than a non V-Spec? 1. Aren't you going to replace the stock (V-Spec or Non) suspension anyway? So it shouldn't matter if it's non V-Spec? 2. Ok, if you like diffusers... 3. V-Spec doesn't come with any of these anyway. I thought V-Spec differences were on very minor? Can someone explain please? Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. CNG: Do you know what the fuel economy was like for the RX7? I do mostly highway driving to and from work. I've always wanted an RX7 cos I love the shape. Didn't wanna go for an s15 as I know at least 3 ppl who have one. Didn't want an R34 GTS-T cos my friend has one. Can't afford an R34 GTR. I want a newer car (year 2000+) but still sporty. I don't particularly like the newer sports cars out there like the RX8. So I'm thinking of getting an RX7 but I am aware of their "difficulties" such as high maintenance, high fuel consumption, unreliable...etc. Anyone recommend another sports car apart from the FD? Also CNG, did you have any mechanical problems with your Series 7? Cheers!

Just a follow up, if anyone is interested in a more stockish car...I am willing to return the car to as close to stock as possible. This includes removing the HKS air filter, BOV, gauges and boost controller. So basically the only remaining mods will be the exhaust, rims and turbo timer. Of course, after doing this I can reduce the price considerably. Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks.

The funniest thing that has been said to me (more so written to me) was a little note popped on my windshield from our next door neighbour. It went something along the lines how my car was too loud and that it sounded like a truck everytime I came back at night. Pfft!! She was always trouble anyway, my car isn't THAT loud!!

Hmm...okay. Just seemed strange to me as I've never seen a big muffler and a smaller one side by side...looks "different". I would have prefered the wastegate pipe to dump straight to ground, or having it stick out the side underneath the sideskirts

Steve: Yes it was a red one, damn clean too!! Had a vented bonnet, and yes maybe it had a black roof too. Not sure about the widebody kit, but the guards did look like they were flared. If it was a widebody, it wasn't wide enough cos about 1" of the rims/tyres were sticking out from the side of the car (when viewed from the front). Looked damn cool like that nonetheless. It's tyres were really stretched over the rims, in true drift style The owner popped the bonnet, had some good mods. Looked like a custom plenum, pipework and low mount turbo from what I could see. Turbo looked decent sized too. Had a HUGE intercooler at the front too Off the topic, I saw a damn funny car on the day. Well, it looked funny to me...but may look wicked to other people. It was a silver lancer GSR, with twin cannon mufflers...but the mufflers were separate and one was bigger than the other? I love twin cannon mufflers, but if they are the same size. Not when they are different sized. One of my friends said maybe the smaller muffler was for the external wastegate. Uhuh... It just looked kinda strange to me, that's all. But each to their own. Different people have different taste.
