  1. as mentioned earlier, all gtr's whether R32, R33 or R34 are techically AWD. most of the time when you drive they are RWD, but when the rear wheels starts loosing traction the front wheels kick in until the rears gain full traction again. if youv ever driven a GTR youd notice that its not hard to get them sideways. cheers Filip
  2. there shouldnt be any delays in getting the car on a boat to get to sydney at all, talk to your importer, if he hasnt put the car on the boat by 2months then somthing must be wrong. the car must be in oz, complied by may 8th for it NOT to go into the new laws, if complied after that, then all modified gear must be taken off. why hasnt the car been put on a boat in 2 months? shouldnt take longer than a 2 weeks!
  3. it was a great turn out at homebush, approxiametely 40 cars at least, i guess next time as a few of us mentioned we need better organisation, but it was great day while it lasted. c u guys at the next meeting ay.
  4. i guess it will be a good turn out on sunday at 12 at carpark 6c, cant wait. c u guys there
  5. they are two flamin huge mother f*&@#rs. i guess they would be used for a very large transport ship or sumthn, they wouldnt be for planes cause most planes use saab engines half the size of those two turbos. ........wierd........hhhmmmm
  6. sweet ride, keep that wing off mate, very drifty of you.
  7. d maccas still gets preety packed by 11, cops usually cum, but then dont do anythin, they jus go. and yes the carpark to the megacentre is usually blocked off.
  8. thanks for the reply tlai909, got mine hooked up properly and played with it today
  9. i know its a bit off topic, but if a person person had a boost leak, how would you go about and fixing such a problem;what things would you need to check or replace?
  10. hey guys, would any of you have some kind of manual for an Apexi turbo timer, or any info that would help me,cause i recently imported my 180 and it has one on there, i havnt had much time to fiddle around with it but would appreciate any help. not sure what type, but looks like a new model, see attached pic.
  11. ex-static: twin cams take more time to do, which means more labour and equals to more cash, i wouldnt try doing it myself either cause they are a bitch if you dont know what your doing. try and see the part number on you belt that you already have on your car and ring up a few places.
  12. mm2 death: you must oil the k&n filters after you wash them, they filter much better. ive got a puple HKS filter on my 180sx, it came in with the car and its half purple half black, so i must wash it right away and oil it. i beleive there are a few different colours with the hks; green, yellow, red and purple. ps- so whats the best stuff to use when washing the hks; soap n water then oiling, or degreaser and then oiling???
  13. saw it last nite, what a weird show, but was dam intersesting and i absolutely loved that commentary, lol. sumthn different though.
  14. guys read the previous posts, its been posted that its homebush carpark 6C @ 12 midday on sunday-which is the 26th of january(australia day). tanks.
  15. hopefully you got away without a ticket since you have 1 point, but you should have asked for them to show you the radar showing that you were doing 31 over, if they didnt have a radar then you could have told them that you were doin 10 kays over or sumthn, but since there was two of em then you cant lie too much, but i dont think they had a radar since it was a paddy wagon, only the highway patrol cars have one fitted on the car...i think.i think that they gave you the 15kays and over fine cause they didnt have proof that you were doin 31 and over....it was probably a guess for them. oh well, i guess you will see in a couple of weeks if you got the fine or not, drive safely mate.
  16. i should be there, most probably spectating though, but if im keen enough ill join all yous in an off street drag in my 180sx, i should have it by then no worries......my importer said next wedensday its yours.
  17. silver-arrowz- yeah thought so, i was just curious, might join in for the track day though. prank- i actually just missed out on getting that car in my avatar, it was an already prepared drift car, the bid went too high. but i picked up a 95 model 180sx instead at the auctions, i should have the keys in my hands by next wednesday. ill probably sell it soon though, and then order another 180...this time ill make sure i have a 97 model, i absolutely love em, they look awsome and they are rare in sydeny and oz......but another 5 gees ontop of a 95 model 180. yours looks preety good aswell man, black looks the best.
  18. is that $100-$150 per car that you said include the renting of a helmet??
  19. try www.japanesemotorsport.com.au, its an aussie site from adelaide, they have a few of there own vids aswell, if you want to see some real action then buy the videos from OPTION, they have plenty of volumes out, they are japanese vids though, i think u can order them from the site i just mentioned.
  20. sounds good to me, a place where ever1 can meet and greet, put some names to some faces aswell.
  21. is that cumberland maccas or cumberland burger king???
  22. oh ok, dont go around that area much, but would have been intersting to see em all sideways top of third gear.
  23. apparently if u want to comply an import car here it must be stock already, not 100% sure though, i think that rule has already been established a while ago,ill find out and get back on this one. and im sure there are ways around this prob....there always is.
