  1. Interesting Topic. With compliance requirements in Australia putting all of the recall issues of imports on the compliance shop who comply the vehicle Nissan may have an out. NZ is different and the Franchise holders there are obligated to address recalls. Is a TSB a recall...
  2. Japanese to English There is a ROM disc available in Japan. Nissan part number B8227-C9913 About 10,000YEN. Not sure how deep the conversion goes may only be for the Sat Nav and not the menus or vice versa. I strongly suspect it will only work on the sat nav so have not been in a hurry to go through the hassle and cost of getting one. I.E. tell you in english where in Tokyo bay you are driving not Aussie maps etc. But if anyone else wants to give it a whirl there's the number.
  3. Talked to a car yard who had a GTR stolen, was used in some hold up probably the same one. Cops wanted to know how to catch it! The reply? "For a start you are in a V6 commodore..." Bastards also got an evo 6
  4. I'm getting about 9.5lt per 100km on average. Mainly stop start traffic 60-70kph with a bit of a free run on the motorway each day.
  5. Love the 300GT, 5 speed auto there is room behind me for a guy my height when I am driving (5'9") not quite 6' but plenty of room and no need to move my seat. Fuel use is less on the 300 than the 350. Is a 5 seater. Coupes are 4 seaters. Went for this sedan because of the kids. Interior in the leather is ok but the inserts are suede. Boot is big but not in the league of my VS commonwhore. After driving it for a year I don't think I would consider commodores now and they were my favs. Interior is the same as the M35 Stagea. Although the M35 is vast improvement on the C34 (89 Camry wagon on steroids) looks wise, all I talk to agree - Volvo. Wheras the V35 - Porsche (at least the front guards). You can talk comfortably to passengers, (or to the handfrees from the back seat) at 100kph and be heard so not noisy. Bose stereo is great for a factory setup, great Bass, I won't be changing it.
  6. I have a 300GT on paper 197KW which is more than the VS clubsports I used to drool over. Plenty power enough to get you in trouble. 300GT same as the 350 GT and the 250 GT you get the plain Janes, the P or the S packs. Appears mine has pretty much the P pack. Leather, Bose Stereo has the do fangy mirrors, yep has a key boot realease (just don't use that key) woodgrain plastic, TV sat Nav so you can see where in Tokyo Bay you are driving, electric seats. The 350 get other options eg paddle shift with the tiptronic or CVT or the 6 speed manual. The coupes go up to 18inch wheels with Brembos (the latter ones) The 250GT in poverty pack form is still a nice car
  7. When I was in Wellington I had issues with a Mongoose alarm. The Distributer MONGOOSE (NEW ZEALAND) LIMITED 41A View Road, Glenfield, 0627 Was really good to talk too at the time and it sounded like they had a workshop there or close too. Certainly had the ability to check a car out if you brought it to them. As you are in Auckland you could go to the horses mouth.
  8. I was getting 9.5km per litre out of a 300GT had the thing serviced and now down to 8.4km/l but I must say have been thrashing it. Filled up today and will take it easy until the next fill and see how I go. Do 500-600km a week most in city traffic. A bit of Motorway stuff but that is on and off the brakes stuff too. When I started running 98 instead of 94 I got better fuel economy so now run solely on 98. Now doing 9.5km per 100km even with a bt of a thrash now and then
