Ok. So you're number plate, it is illegible, unfortunately. It is a pretty decent fine. If you take it to court with all due respect you have bucklies chance of getting off. The other aspect is that when you are found guilty you will also have to incur $67 court costs on top of the mentioned tickets plus legal representation if you decide you need it. You will have the car tested for the exhaust, unfortunately anything which is not standard is a defect unless engineered. I work as a cop so I am not simply talking out of my arse, there are alot of ppl that will tell you to fight it and all that sort of crap, many have no idea about law or what they are talking about. I guess that decision lies with you. Basically to satisfy the proofs of an illegible/ unreadable registration plate all that has to proven is that the plate was 'unreadable', and due to it being dirty I imagine it was. It is a bit of a harsh ticket, one that I doubt I would write someone myself. Kind Regards mate and I hope this helps, Brenton

Hey all, I am contemplating a manual conversion for a bit more driver involvement, and to also get rid of the man cans feeling that comes with driving an auto :-).. But like most of us it all comes down to practicality and costs. I was speaking with a friend who mentioned that the Celica gearbox is great value and would be great for a Skyline, is this possible or would it require extensive modification to do so. And further to this, has anyone put any non skyline boxes in there cars?

Charlie 25T you have the most piss poor attitude I think I have seen on this website to date. I have written a thousand estimated speeds and am yet to lose one at court, and I am a General Duty Police Officer, or "general dog" as it was put. There is no requirement to issue an infringement at the time of the offence. There is no requirement to have a lidar or in car radar to issue a speed as the speed is 'estimated'. Police do not just follow a car and say "Hey it looks like he may be speeding", we follow a set procedure to estimate speeds, followed with observations, relevant conversation with the driver etc etc.. Granted sometimes people will take matters to court and rebut the issue and will sometimes get off, this happens all the time, in traffic offences, domestics, stealings, everything, but to say that you can hire a barrister or swanky solicitor and you will get off easily is an absolute crock of s**t.. Half the time I pull someone over for a speed, if they have a decent attitude I will let it slide but when you get a cocky tosser who THINKS he knows the law but knows sweet f**k all and just runs his or her mouth then you're guarenteed a ticket.. If you feel you are generally being done wrong then by all means contend the ticket, but if you have made the mistake, pump up and wear it..

What about your Ignition Coils. My car started running much the same especially when it warmed up say 2-5 mins into driving, turned out coils 1 and 2 were below spec level... so i bought splitfires....

Hi everyone, I have a Nissan Skyline turbo from a GTR. I bought it about 2 months ago and was going to put it on my R34. I have now decided to buy an aftermarket item. The turbo has minimal shaft play and was purchased off an older, mature driver who was selling as he was upgrading his R32 GTR. Price is set at $250. I paid $270 when I bought it. The turbo can be picked up from the Campbelltown area.

This is true... Hey I started the car today and it sort of muffled a bit, the orange light came on again and I just kept driving it, it started with like light shuddering which passed after a street or 2 of spirited driving. It starting to pee me off. It makes me wonder what the hell is wrong with it, maybe its the coils still...aaaarrggggg...
