    hey man thanks for all that ill let them know it was a variant model off the r32, besides that everything else should be fine wow! thanks for that dude, alright so i will put that down for the r32 GTR rims, i went to the tech section in Welshpool today they said dont worry to much about the stock track on the wheel as they can check that on there computers.. besides that i think i should be all good to go and hand the paper in Thanks for all the help guys

    hey everyone i got a few questions that i need a bit of help with. Page 5 Diff- Model/Type? .. do i just leave that blank as the diff is still the stock one that came with the car? Page 6 Chassis - Will the chassis or body or mounting be modified in anyway? .. should i put yes as the mounting brackets for the gearbox had to be changed? page 8 Tryes front/rear -What is the manufactures original tyre size and profile, i put 205/55/r16 is this right? -what front tyre size and profile to be fitted to vehicle, i put 225/50/r16 ( as ive got r32 gtr rims on the car ) Wheel Rims front/rear (ive got r32 gtr rims so for this i did the following) -Will the wheel rims be changed, i put tick on Yes -will the wheel rim onset/offset be changed?, i put yes -What will the rim onset/offset be? can some one confirm that as im not to sure ? -Will the wheel rim width be changed from original? i put yes -Will the wheel rim diameter be changed? i said no -If the wheel is to be changed from original explain changes. I said rims fitted will be r32 GTR rims which are 8inch wide, is that right? -Modified wheel track________mm. i have no idea about this? -Original manufactures wheel track_______mm, Again have no idea? -Original manufactures Wheel rim width, I put 6.5 inch.     hey dude i will probably go that way, first ill get my hands on some R33 calipers and see how much i can get the DBA fronts from my work, either way i will let you know if i need some rotors from you. Thanks for all your help man hey man, thanks for all the info i was thinking maybe before i do hand in the form to go talk to one off the engineers and ask what he/she would like done or what i must change before i am able to be approved. Also that link you gave me for some reason does not work, what did you type in the search bar for the list off all the engineers? Thanks, Niran

    bubba what would i do without you ? ahaha thanks for that man i will try get my hands on some r33 brake calipers and rotors, and yep have already wrote about the gearbox in the form they got me to fill out. About the RAC horse power i know its stupid the guy at the back off the counter just was being an absolute ass saying how ive increased my bore size by a massive amount and that ive also got a snail on the side off it.. so i told him yes i do have a turbo on it but so did the rb20, then he kept going on about how still with a fmic its gonna have a huge difference and bla bla.. so in the end i just didnt bother and got some one else there to check the car so i could get an extension on my pits permit

    haha! i wish i could do that, yer hopefully brakes should be alright, do you know any places that i can get an engineer to check ? i know the pits have one however i doubt hes gonna come out and go through my car without the engine being approved yet, thanks , niran

    Alright no problems, however i do have one question.. i know the rotors are a bit bigger, however Ive heard that the calipers where the same in r32 gts-t/r33 gts-t. is any one able to confirm that, cheers

    hey man, i do understand about the venting and the rotor size, however my r32 gts-t already has 4 pots so should that be alright?

    alright so what should i do then? should i run the r32 gts-t brakes and it should be fine? or should i install some r33 rotors? or should i just go and buy some slotted DBA rotors?

    hey man thanks for this, maybe as you have stated i will go back to the welsh pool office and just get some more clarification on this, i think your also right about the rb25 being a bit more involved but im pretty sure r33 brakes just has a little bigger rotors but the calipers where the same however im yet to 100% clarify that. again thanks Niran
  12. hey guys thanks for all the help, got the tail shaft back and they did a great job cant tell that its even been welded, basically got it welded, aligned/balanced and they painted it all black and then put two stickers on the drive shaft with the company name and approval.
  13. hey every one A while back i got a yellow sticker and because my gearbox had lost its reverse i thought i might as well do the rb25 conversion into my r32 gts-t. I brought a half cut from Ben at KYP and received the invoice and then got the engine and gearbox and customizing parts installed by a mechanic i know. I went to the pits on Friday 8th Jan. they stated that they cannot pass me as i have gone up in a large amount of RAC horsepower and that i have to get my engine approved before they can look at it. I was given the "Modification Application Light(production) Vehicles" form and was told to fill the required fields and hand it back to them. So i need to know what i have to do, To give a run down its basically a rb25 s2 engine that was installed, do i have to get engineering certs for this? or because its a rb25 and the r32 had a rb26dett(GTR) as a model variant will it be alright to just fill out the required information. Also i do have a few other modifications such as FMIC and pod, the rest such i will return back to stock when going over pits again. In one off the sections it asks for the "Wheel Rims". I've got R32 Gtr rims on at the moment should i put these down also at the same time? And finally has any one else had to go through the same procedure after installing an rb25 in there r32 and if so may i get some help. Thanks guys Niran

  15. hey man will try all this yes there was, we had a bit off problems with it from the start when trying to get it started, i have a r32 gtr fuel pump installed that then has been re-wired using the original fuel pump 12v as a trigger switch to run the new relay that feeds power straight from the battery so it gets 13.8 v constantly.. however this set up was run in the rb20 also, do you reckon this could be the problem?

  18. have to agree with the rest, if you didn't get any points then like every body else stated its just cheaper paying the fine.. you can go and fight it but will just end up costing more in the long run
  19. hey man, will keep going through wires i doubt its that as i had the same one on the rb20 engine and when put on "off" mode it would turn car off as soon as the key was taken out really, im not to sure exactly what one i have but i will look into that.. however this never happened with the rb20?? is there something that could have caused this to happen?
  20. hey everyone Alright so the last week or so i have been getting a rb25det installed into my r32 gts-t, everything has been going fine in the conversion however there is one problem i have run into and that is the engine wont turn off. i do have a turbo timer (apexi pen) however i set that to off mode and yet after taking the key out off the ignition the car seems to keep running for 5-10 seconds and then turns off. Would any body be able to give me some ideas into what i could check for, could it be something to do with the wiring? we used a rb25 ecu as the engine is a S2 rb25det with vct. If any one could help or has run into the same issue before please let me know. Cheers, Niran
  21. hey guys i went to a place called drive shafts Australia, they said they can do it for $180.00, basically they are going to cut the front off the r33 and weld it onto the r32 rb20 drive shaft, then get it balanced.. i will see how it goes, the reason also i couldn't wait to long is the workshop the car is at is just taking up space and i still got the yellow on it which expired a while back, so i just need to get it on the road. hopefully drive shaft australia do a good job.   22. hey bubba does ben have ones that have already been swapped over? because i have the r33 drive shaft and also the r32 drive shaft, just need to get the r33 yoke put onto the r32 drive shaft.. also what type off yoke do we have would you know?
  23. hey everyone Alright as some off you may know im in the process of doing the rb25det engine/gearbox conversion to my r32 gts-t. It is nearly completed however i need to get the tail shaft customized, all that needs to be done is have the yoke swapped over so that it fits the rb25 box.. I was going to go to final drive however for Christmas holidays they are closed till 11th January, Does anybody know where else i could go, or does anybody have a workshop or garage that can get this done for me? Hey guys I went to bens today and got the engine checked out, seem's good done 70k on the engine, running 145 psi each cylinder (cold start) and timing belt, water pump have been changed at 54 k Anyway thought i would show you guys a pic off it Again thanks for everyone who helped me with this topic Cheers, Niran
