Thanks for your help guys here is the vid on my run against a V8 holden ute (he had slicks thus his good start) Sorry its so dark but if you open it in Windows Media Player and go to "VIEW" then "NOW PLAYING TOOLS" then choose "VIDEO SETTINGS" you can make it a bit lighter and up the contrast a bit to see the action. The thing is I don't want to run on slicks as I want to run in TRUE street trim with street tyres just like the jap guys....My plans now are..... A set of standard rear shocks/springs (for drag only) 15" rims with AZENIS or similar New clutch (heavy duty) I have a incar vid of one of my runs where I chase down a V8 Holden ute...Its a bit dark but if you change the brightness/contrast in wmp it looks OK, if anyone is interested I will put it on my site.

Well I finally got back to the drags after not racing for some 12 months. Last time I raced I recorded 14.8 with 117rwkw. I now have 206rwkw so I wawn't sure how I would go. Basically I discuvered a couple of things. 1. TEIN Suspension is NOT good for drags. 2. Low profile tyres are NOT good for drags. 3. Standard clutch is NOT good for drags. I am not making excuses but these things will have to be improved on before I can expect to see the fruits of my labour. I believe that my current engine configuration is good for a flat 13 so if I can sort out the other areas I will be happy. Last night was not just about quick times but I was very interested in sorting out my launches. and as you can see from the times below as I increased the rpm the times came down. However on my final run I made a rather large error, I wasn't interested in reaction time so I let the green light show then consentrated and tried hard to get a good launch, however I moved slightly forward and triggered the timer withou actually launching thus resulting in a time much slower than the run felt. I believe that had I not moved forward that I may have got a very low 13? Anyway here are my results. RUN 1 60ft: 2.468 ET: 14.196 KM/H: 157.88 RUN 2 60ft: 2.317 ET: 14.112 KM/H: 165.84 RUN 3 60ft: 2.356 ET: 14.021 KM/H: 164.55 RUN 4 60ft: 2.238 ET: 13.747 KM/H: 162.42 RUN 5 60ft: 2.340 ET: 14.014 KM/H: 167.68 SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED LAST NIGHT AS WELL After doing a big burnout and then a run my spedo stopped working and hasn't worked since? Also my HICAS light is now on and I appear to not have power steering? HELP

You thought exactly as I did when I posted that same pic back a month or so on here. However as I was told ..."Sorry its not a skyline as its shot in the USA and they don't get Skylines, plus, the indicators on the side shot from the clip (on the bumper) are different.... Sorry to burst your bubble but someone popped mine to. Awesoem clip tho.

Gtst He supplied the cooler and I fit it. It was a nasty little cooler that had some very serious design defects so I made him take it back and get it fixed. I only use ARE intercoolers from Brisbane as they are about the best in Australia and don't cost that much. ARE sell kits for the gtst as well with all piping but will cost you close to 2k with everything.

Actually thats a small one...its only 500x220x75. I put one on a silvia with a rb20 and its 600x300x57:D Cam

Nismo Girl Could be a number of things. Weight (you had more people in it, my car is even slow with 3) Clutch (yours may be slipping a bit ) Tyres (his may have been great off the line) ecu (he may have had an aftermarket ecu which you can't see) I wouldn't be to concerned abotu loosing, I used to get ticked off when I got beaten by gemini's and swifts but then I realised that so long as my car is running well then the fact is that the other person simply has a faster car.....bit like what people think when I beat them I guess, some spend more on mods than others ??

Its seems obvious that we all want somewhere to gather So I propose that we pick a date some time soon and all get together and go for a drive to these different places and check them out as a group. meet/race "V" meet/chat From what I have whitnessed the norm seems to be that everyone gets together and has a chat and stuff around 8:30pm then as it gets later they head off for a run somewhere. May I suggest that NO ONE post possible race spots only meeting spots. Keep the ideas flowing.

OK I went to a little meeting in Brisbane on the 13th June at the Roma Street Parklands....Not many cars but a great place to hang out, yes it is close to police headquaters but there is a rather large and noisy transit station in between so you can make some noise without fear...Yes the cops do patrols throught the parkland but they are cool and don't cause any hasels..... ANYWAY, What I am proposing is a regular meeting place to hang out on particular nights so have a look at the poll above and make your decision, if anyone has anything to add let me know and I will modify the poll. I just think that it would be great if people new that on a xxxxx night if its fine then there will be cars at xxxxx. The other thing is it would be great if you all made a decission that on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th xxxxx night of the month we always meet at xxxxx Time for meetings would be around 8pm onward or so

I am on a Yahoo Starlet group (They need some keeping in line lol) They had about 6 starlets there last night and my friend wanted to go cause he has a starlet.... Its an awesome spot with good lighting and plenty of spots. Yes the cops do cruise through about every 25minutes or so which I think is great as it keeps everyone under control, they are all fairly casual......I was standing in the middle of the road taking a photo and suddenly realised there was a car behind me, I turned around and it was the police, I gave him a smile and stepped aside and he cruised past without saying anything. the second thing I saw was the cops pull up next to a guy in his parked civic with big kit and crazy paint, the cop said nice car what is it the guys then started talking and laughing with the cops for about 10minutes? ITS ALL GOOD. The main problem with most hang outs is the hoon/lout % of people who just fool around and cause trouble and this is why the cops get mad, if we can behave and have fun then there will not be a problem.. There is a huge grass area and a lake and stuff so there is plenty of room for people to stand around and talk etc. Probably the best spot I have seen for ages.

You think thats bad....I drove 1 and a 1/2 hours to meet with 12 cars....The area is awesome and I think we should take it over one saturday night soon.... keep an eye on the events section.
