However have look around on here and youll find the last three coby group buys that Eug sorted out and the prices for them and info onthe benfits of tubular headers can be found there. as ive alreadt stated guys, im going to be able to sort the details of this and come back to you with a price once im back inthe uk. price will be based on numbers interested, and postage to each individual member in australia...(im getting allthe uk ones sent to me) so do some reading around guys decide what you want and ill get partsco onthe case.
  2. hey guys, work has gotten inthe way of my time online of late. so to be fair to all iwont close this untill im back inthe theuk with better facilities. (thats gives people an other week.) Eug i'll pm you once im back to start hashing out details. etc.

I will Pm you with some questions soon regarding how things work with currency etc down there .....the uk side of this is all set with everything taken care of at £210 with the items in my hands. (other deleivery costs are going tobe sorted individually in the uk side) sooo wqe just need confirmation of the autralian side's details and i can let partsco know what they have and move tothe next stage. 7 days people and i will take the names and details i have at that point ....(thats wed next week the 28th) and forward those orders to partsco for an aussie delivery price. lets make it work guys ....

  5. ok guys this is perhaps a minor rant, im out in the desert at the mo, sorting this out in the small amount of free time i have. we have 5 people interested on SO.com of which three have given me details regarding size and whether they want treated or not. we had at lest that number orginally interested in these on here, yet despite repeated requests for a list of what you guys want nothing is forthcoming. (apart fromthe thee above, and one pm to which i have replied) i cannot get a definative price untill i know who wants what then i can email partsco and start properly sorting this. so unless people actually show interest then autralian half of this is going to fall flat. however in fairness to those that have bothered to give me details so far i WILL keep you informed and see what i can do ....

hi guys. can any people interested in these please add their nmes to the list inthe thread in the NA section, the cut off date for any new people interested in aquiring a set (or 2) of these WILL be the 4th of June. after that the lists will close and i will organise payment etc only for those that have added their names to the list on the other thread as requested. ..... bear in mind im willing to act as the intermediary for partsco and SAU/SO.com but as i live in the UK, it will be easier once final price is agreed for partsco themselves to take direct payment from the southern hemisphere contingent. that is unless someone on here is will ing to coordinate it as Eug has done inthe past......... please note ONLY the names listed in the thread in the NA section will go forward. End date is June 4th 2008 ta guys.
  9. if people are interested in a set of these, then please add name and type of extractors to the list above, that way ive got info to go back to partsco with.
  10. hi guys ..sorry for the delay in replys...ive been waiting for partsco to get back to me with definative delivery prices..plus im deployed in iraq at the mo so been a tad busy ....im due back in uk beginning of june and can then give this the time it desearves to follow up and chase things. just been forwarded an email arrived onthe 1st but wife didnt send to me ..(doh) Hi Simon Ok, I have got some answers back from the freight forwarder my cousin works for. Based on 5 sets of headers you will be looking at around $600 to have them sent to Manchester Airport, being a freight forwarder they can only base their costs on what it takes to get them to an airport (ie Manc) - any further costs at your end such as VAT, clearance or any other customs duties we will not know and you will be liable for these. After sending a single set of D12's to Oz it was expensive but as these charges are a total and not a 'per item' cost I think we may just find it will work out cheaper than NZ post when sending bulk deliveries such as your potential order. If you have a confirmed number of buyers let me know exact numbers - please note I have cc'd a fellow UK based D12 potential buyer (Brendan Stuart) who may wish to get in on your bulk order to help bring the freight cost down further - I will leave it up to you guys to talk to each other on this. So I will wait to hear back from you and we will go from there. Regards Craig Saunders Director Partsco.com Ltd please note thats delivery to us ..so i will now pass this to the uk members and get a definative......ill ask aslo in my reply tothis for a delivered price to australia...although if the "southern" part of this is to go ahead we need someone down there to coordinate ..as if there are any probs in delvery im not ideally placed to say the least.. essentially eug has already emailed partsco to mention the previous group buys and such so pricves should be equal to what previous ones cost .) if those that are interested could please put forum name and type of cobby extractors in a list below thats would be great.. eg hesh 2.5inch outlet untreated...... 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6)
  11. right guys, parts co are just sorting out a delivery quote for us over here. once i have the numbers im going to ask my guys to forward cash to me. heres a link tothe thread ,(hope it works) http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthr...4242&page=2 what we need someone @ the southern end of this to coordinate inthe place of eug as he is busy. let me know and then i can forward all partsco emails etc, so delivery for you guys can then be organised a litte more "locally"
  12. fair enough dicer, as you may have guessed this isnt moving forward all that quickly.
  13. cool Eug....grunta...if ya have a litte search round theres aload of info about these headers on here cos of the group buys eug has previously done. so we have 5 uk and maybe 6 in australia now? this is just too good an opertunity not to miss ..lets hopewe can ge the price right..

that was the price that parts co offered us. so it would seem we were offered an initial discount of 25nzd. bearing in mind the other costs were gonnahve to incure like postage etc. obviously the more we get interested then this discount may grow. perhaps i should explain for those of you that perhaps dont know. im one of the north east area reps for Skylineowners.com in the uk. hence the discount. ive aranged this initial contact with partco via myself and that forum. It would make sense however if there are five people on here that want these as well to join up in one Group buy. after all 10 may be cheaper than 5.
  15. swtick ATTESSA in to wikipeadia mate. its the same system as found inthe gtr....sends torque tothe fron up to a max 50/50 rear front bias when rears detected slipping. it reduces the torque tothe front wheels in a corner to preserve the rear wheel bias handling. also this can be over ridden. gts4 is available as a coupe or sedan inthe r32 and r33 varients and hicas was an optional extra if ya want to know more drop ma pm and ill fill in the blanks.....ive got a gts4 so did a fair bit of digging around for info
  16. hi Eug, well like i say we have five people interested in the UK. and im leaving this open for any more till beginning of june. the email they sent reckoned around 275AUD ea..(from memory not sure exactly would have to check back home as im overseas at the mo) once id converted it etc and looked a predicted postage costs it came out at around 200GBP delivered for us. the thread can be found on Skylineowners.com, i would post a link but people tell me they only bring up info if ya register on our site. (funkey monkey is already and a few of our guys already post on here besides myself) either way we will definatelty (in as deffinate as all group buys) have 5 people uk, its just down to how many of you guys want one as well....
  17. worp3d, if you read to the end of that group buy post youll see that A) its finished and closed and B) ive already posted up on the end of it. my reasoning for putting the post in this section is simple: as no one had replied to the post on the end of the group buy i judged by putting the post in here interested parties were more likely to see it and respond. the pice ive quoted up there is for delivery all in to britain guys ..any bought by yourselves as part of this group buy would i expect be aproximatley the same price as the group buy eug has done in the past. on that basis then if people are interested ill email partsco again with a potential ten people, and get some more definitive prices, for both you guys over there and us. obviously it has to be competatively priced, thats the whole point!
  18. youd need to change very little. certainly not the body kit , as that has no bearing onthe engine. the rb26 doesnt sit any higher than the rb25, though if you wanted top mount turbos you may have to lok at bonet clearance. (more of an issue with rb30s as the block is higher. youll need a new ecu, remap and perhaps it wopuld be wise to look at uprated drive shafts and certainly brakes and suspension to handle the ike from 200 ish bhp to 300plus. lot of work mate ...but can be done
  19. from a few posts over the last week ive been thinking of setting up a possible group buy acrtoss our two forums. Ive got five people in the UK who want sets of coby's d12 headers. there apears to be another 5 on here. ive already got prelimianry costings for the uk guys ..its gonna end up @£200 each for us...(roughly $450??) obviously itll be a difeenrt delivery price for you guys?. the folowing people have expressed and interest if i can get some thing off the ground: shane666 n dawg dicer skyKC OoskylineoO vashR31 so my question is simple...if people are interested can you add what type of headers you want, ie treated un treated and 2.25 or 2.5 outlet. I'm planing on colecting/organising payment for these in the first two weeks of june...so sooner we get details finalised the more likely its gonna be to happen. thanks all.
  20. mines still standard mate. its taken me ages to track down any headers for th rb20/25de's. like i say evrything still turbos here. out of a whole forum of like 3000 plus theres five interested in this group buy...cos no on bothers withthe NA's......but i aim to change that.
  21. im reaching a bit here but id wager that it would create a hotspot at the join of the treated and untreated portions. which may lad to complications. id just simply heat wrap and paint the whole thing as that's essentially doing the same as the ceramic coating. it isnt just about keeping heat out of the engine bay, although that's a factor. if the exhaust gasses cool to quickly (i.e. via convection of heat from unwrapped/non treated pipes) they slow down...thus leading to a drop in power similar to too large and exhaust bore. keeping the exhaust gasses hot until out of exhaust means a better breathing engine.
  22. no probs mate. sorry i cant be specific about the figures and benefits of one ovr th other. thing is here in the uk most skylines as turboed so not much info exists at the present regarding tuning options for the de's as not many people have done it to find out! ....so if ya fit your 2inchers and collect all the info you'll be one of the first .....
  23. the stock extractors are cast. all the primaries, ie th tubes from the outlet on the head are different lengths. in terms of torque its advantageous to get all the primary's as long as possible, and equal in length. th reasoning being that it evens out the pressure wave "pulse" when the exhaust gas is vented from the combustion chamber. however the larger diameter the tube..the lower the pressure..and you want a decent pressure wave to help "suck" the exhaust gas out of the combustion chamber at the end of the stroke, as the drop in relative pressure between the header and the combustion chamber produces this "scavenging" effect. so as you can se from this its a balancing act. too big a tube drops the pressure and then you get a very flat engine with no power. to small and it wont flow the gases as quickly as it could. the exact "best" set up for an rb25 de or rb20 would need to be computer modeled and then built from scratch, and even then beecause of space constraints ultimately the tubes will perhaps have to be less than the theoretical idealas they have tofit the car. essentially the d12's allow the car to perform closer to its mechanical and theoretical maximum potential, though probably not at it. if that makes sense.
  24. well hello there...we get about us brits eh?

hi guys ...i've had an email from partsco.com ..thay have offrd to do these at 250nzd...now im going to sort out a group buy for five of my guys at that price...so as Eug is busy how bout we combine forums and do a bigger GB with you guys? obviously postage costs will be different for you guys and one of the interested parties down your part of the world would have to coordinate payment as its daft to send money all the way to me only to send it back again ..not to mention currency fluctuations.... heres a copy of what ive postd on skylineowners.com for our guys "right i've had an email from partsco..they are able to supply these at 250NZ each. that parts only and not including delivery price. assuming a delivery to UK of around 500nzd and our costs to dispatch to members thats aproximately £160 per unit. so to take account of interest rate fluctuations and possible taxation issues ill do this group buy at an all in price of £200 delivered to your door. we also have some guys on SAU that want thse so ill offer to do a combined forum buy...itll maybe bring the price down a smidge... so far we have hesh untreated 2.5 toolman 2.5 untreated piggy paul gtr silver.... im looking at closing this group buy at the begining of june....and the first two weeks of june will be for money colection. cheque payable to me...onthis group buy ...and paypal into my address that ill post up nearer the time" so any takers on this? exactly how many hav we got interested in australia? __________________
