  1. im doing a group buy of the psi ones for the uk guys. got twenty so far interested and running it till jan 07...... we cant get the rb25 over here in clear so many peeps just get a 26 and cut a holw if they wish to keep the NVCS on the intake.
  2. is that a non turbo rb23de? its so deep a rumble i thought it has to be a turbo car.? id be very interested inthe removal of the ecu wire. one thing bothers me ...mine wont spinthe wheels in second.....and by the sounds of it you were doing 120 in third....mine isnt ..or at least doenst feel that quick.
  3. interesting figures,,, for the record mine was totaly stock at 200.9hp (149kw)at flywheel and 140hp 104kw.@wheels(6500revs) with 150lbft torque @ 5400 revs from the comparisons on here and given that was stock with new plugs, thats quite high suprisingly.
  4. lol yes that is the uk, the north east of the uk to be exact. we had a week of snow and frost....... makes driving a rear bias car ..erm.....interesting.
  5. "which, by the time I go turbo ill have a pretty well set up car.. but like Tom, Dick and Harry!" thats the clincher for me....every man and his dog wahcks on one of several turbo options. like Eug says do it in stages and look at it as makeing a trail rather than following a path. and what ever you do dont keep records of the $$...sure fire way to get demotivated.
  6. cheers guys, as it happend i've spoken to shane via msn last night (early morning for you guys) He had been away at driftfest hence the delay. Im curently sorting out a roup buy for mid jan when the next batch of these covers are availabe. and its looking like 20+ members want one. Al would you post up some pics of it fitted so that i could put some up over on the uk site? gives the guys an idea of the finish and quality? thanks.
  7. those cam covers look real good. Ive emails PSI, and to date not received anything back. I have 14 other guys over here interested getting their hands on a specific rb25 cover, rather than a modded rb26. could some one in the same time zone as the distributor please point em to their emails? thanks. incidentally also trying to organise the coby headers/extractors into a group buy from over here. as yet only arounf 4 people interested, but word is slow to get out for the NA's ....we're widely spread.
  8. cheers guys i guess thats a definitive no then1lol i was kinda leaning that way but like i say you ask a question like that over here and ya get "why dont you have a turbo ....etc etc ..." so thanks again . the Intercooler idea has left the building.
  9. hi guys, my brains being doing some fothat thinking stuff over the l;ast few days (wife is now complaining of a burning smell in house) i know that an intercooler on a turbo car serves a perpose inthat it cools the air charge that has been heated by the compression of the turbo.... BUT... would a small intercooler on an NA be beneficial? as the colder the air inthe more power we get potentially. but eventually there would come a point where the restriction in air flow negates any benefits in cooling the air charge? so where might this occur? is it just pointless puting an intercooler on or would it actually do something? thoughts and suggestions please.... not sure if this is a stupid idea or not......and no one over this side of the pond to ask ....
  10. yeah how much ...id like one of them too .....
  11. apparently its in this season...... not sure how long the water based paint will last though....
  12. hi mate, some of the guys modify the rb26 one ...as below, but someone did apently find this for the r34 gtt.... some where in your end of the world too.....but no details as to where exactly.
  13. well is aparently 0115 over there and its now 1515 over here, which means ive written this now but actually posted it tomorow all at the same time.........and who said time travel isnt possible.......mind you being a nurse over here you gotta be able to be in two places at once ..its in the job desription......
  14. hi mate, the four door r33 is heavier, and higher than the coupe. (roof line is i little different) but as far as engines are concerned theyre the same. floor pans ...(obviously) differ you dont say if yours is 4wd or not....if it is then youll need to find out which 4wd system. early r33 had similarities tothe 32 gtr. if not then its a simple case of most things will fit fromthe 2wd coupes. suspension is different, mainly at the rear ....though specific dimentions arent something i have at present. the front and rear bumpers are im lead to beleive slightly differnet ...(more of a problem at the rear) if you want after market stuff, and again obviously youd want longer side skirts.....(doh) thats all i know from this side of the world anyhow .....im sure someone else will add more...
  15. cheers h@me, i found the piccy and will take a peek at my ecu later on today weather permitting. and skit, i dont think shes got adjustable gears, as i still have the vvt on the intake side.....I am going to have a claer cam cover fitted though just so i can keep and eye on the hks cam belt and spinny bits .....(and it looks nice ...grins)
  16. ahh i deffo need to lower it then ....theyre 19s! dont worry thats in the pipeline too.... where am i looking for the ecu? in the drivers footwell isnt it?
  17. hy guys, yes noobs would read this ... i did......and much info was gained .......thanks..... anyone able to put up info on using rb26 throttle bodies and adapter plate on a 25? thats my next plan after exhaust mods and coils..
  18. "dumped 3 inches minimum" ...what does that mean? and as far as i know shes got a standard ecu...though ive never checked..... cams look stock i think.... the chap who did the work on my head did say that a couple of vavles werent seating correctly...(before hand) so would that account for the dip? as for the vvt ...no idea....and surely if she was a tooth out on the belt then given that the tolerences are 100thou of an inch she would smack the valves? i apreciate all input guys as trying to tune these things over here is often greeted with blank looks......
  19. hi guys, i thought id put up some more pics as requested and an explaination of the graphs. apologies for the odd posting times, still getting the time zone thins sorted in my head! as i bought her with 200sx wheels new boots some arty shots wheels as they are now ... and this is what happens when i am allowed to play with spray paints..... right the figures on the graph are run 1 max power wheels 134.3 bhp at 6898rpm max power engine 198 bhp @ 7083rpm max torque 156.7 lbft @ 5711 run 2 max @wheels 139.7@6879rpm max @ engine 200.9 @7067 max torque 160lbft @5641rpm the odd dip in the middle is something id noticed but didnt really ask about as these graphs were for the standard engine "before" ANY mods. (all i had done was fluids change) and were a baseline. she healthier than my last rb25de which only made 186 at the engine. (this one had new plugs though...forgot about that) she will be dynoed again once the extractors and zorst are fitted and other planned work done. which should be an interesting comparison. she is a spec 1 1994 model. ive had her since may after this happend to my last one .....also an r33 but a coupe and an gts25s ...auto.... but i have something else on my drive too... hope that clears up any confusion! sorry
  20. hi funkymonkey...nice to see ya on the flipside! i havent got the spitfires yet, thats my "planned mods list" she has a slight missfire every now and again once hot so i suspect the standard coilpacks curently fitted are failing. happens anywhere in revs ...2500 3500 and 5400.....just occasionally. unfortualty as im in the uk armed forces most of my plans are on hold till june when i come back from a "busmans holiday" but when im back there will be pots of cash in the bank for a bit of a monster upgrade session!
  21. hi mate, cheers for the nice comments... the rims are now powder coated graphite grey ....(jury still out on whethter that was a good move) and the nissan badge was standard i thought? as for graphs ..i have some from before, the car made 200.9 at the fly with standard filter and new plugs (though only around 140 at the wheels so transmission is fairly worn....and shes on 19s so the gearing is slightly taller) since then ive had the head work done (result of a garage cock up so i got it cheap and earlier than planned) and fitted a K & N panel filter. Im going to change a few things before i dyno her again. spitfire coil packs. exhaust headers/and mid section cat back suspension upgrades and refurb (already has DBA brakes dics...and when pads due change will fit ferrodos) larger throttle body and pipes.... remap with the emanage blue...or similar ...i want to keep the variable cam timing. then perhaps some rb26 rthrottle bodies with an adapter plate.....

    Coby Extractors

hi guys, i know this particular group buy has closed, but im looking at sourcing a few of thse for interested people over here in the uk. i have couple of questions, my apologies if they seem a little "obvious2 but trying to get normally asperated info over this side of the world is like getting blood outta a stone. i have gts4 saloon. will i need a specific set of pipes for this lay out or will the coby ones in this group buy work? (i assume with a bespoke mid/rear exhaust system too) i think the answer to this is that the systems are identical but are there an significant diffenreces between the systems for rb20 and 25? and r33/32 body types? (by which i mean length of pipes and routing etc) cheers guys.....
  23. hi guys and girls from the united kingdom. My name is Simon, usually known as Hesh, and for my sins i drive a spec 1 r33 gts4 4 door. We have a few forums and clubs/groups over here, im one of the north east area reps for skylineowners.com. Ive posted up my "hello" in this section as i couldnt find a "new people" section so i thought this might be apropriate, given that my car is normally asperated. Actually on that note I and few others have been trying to get info together regarding tubular manifolds for the rb20/25de. the skyline s over here all seem to be turbo'd. either as factory det's or as conversions withthe "de" bottom end. I would rather keep my standard NA and see what can be done. to this end the head has already been ported and polished so my next step is the exhaust. from a cursory look round this site ive seen a few NA maniolds ..and they look pretty nice. Id be gratefull if any of the more knowledgeable/experienced/techy types could point me in the right direction of any companys that would perhaps be able to supply these to us NA fans over this end of the world. many thanks si
