  1. Im thinking of just removing the standard ITB's and welding a throttle body flange on to the front. Pros: Looks neater, (no vaccuum bar, no throttle linkages etc) makes it easier to tap in for vacuum sources Something different. Cons: ????? Is this a silly idea? Been done before??
  2. Im in wagga wagga nsw, mates got the car in sydney and were stripping it down next weekend. then ill be taking the motor back to wagga wagga. Unless someone in syd wants it that weekend. lol

  4. Hmm so that head is pretty much complete minus turbos? thats cheap, you have pm!!
  5. Yup. It Pretty much halves the size of the rear housing, so if your running a .82 rear while the valve is closed its reducing the size of the housing to a .41 (or there abouts) promoting much faster spool times. http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=45148.0 These guys had the same idea back in 2005, but with out the valve setup they just blocked one half of the divided housing off with a plate. Got some pretty good results.
  6. The idea is to use a non-divided manifold with a divided rear housing.
  7. I stumbled upon these whilst looking for cheap shit in america. http://www.spracingonline.com/projects/%E2...e/3643%E2%80%9D Video of it in use on a supra. Has quite a noticeably reduced spool time in the second clip, and seems like a very good idea in theory. Anyone heard/used one of these valves before?
  8. Well there you go! Im not sure of the legalities, but would there be any benefit for a road car, Or is it purely for racing?
  9. What are the advantages of getting rid of the booster? Wouldnt it require more pedal effort without one?
  10. Spot on mate, what is this rebuilding the bottom end shit? just slap the head on the stock 30 bottom end and away you go! Probably pick up a 3540 for 1200, a 2nd hand microtech or wolf for around a thousy, tune set you back 600 or so bucks then injectors and a pump about another thousand. its very doable for that price range, especially if you do the work yourself People have been making waaaaay more than 300kw on stock 30 bottom ends with hundreds of thousands of k's on them!
  11. Hey mate i got a full set-up here, with machined hubs for the 33 rotors, doglegs and new wheelbearings. Im after 300 posted for the lot or 150 for the doglegs. Send me a pm if your interested!
  12. Let me get this straight....You payed around 15-1600 per wheel and tyre? That is ridiculous....
  13. Whats it come with? cams, cam gears, lifters, rocker covers??? need more info
  14. 25 and 26 boxes are exactly the same just the 26 has a transfer case on it
  15. Why wont people understand that it all comes down to the tuner??? "Oh i just put a microtech in my car and it runs shit" its not the god damn computers fault the computer only does what its told to do! And the person who tells it what to do is the tuner!
  16. im sure you can go leaner than 14.7 on cruise. i think around 17.1 is the norm for factory cars! should be ok for light loads
