Had a similar problem recently Check for boost leaks, you must be losing pressure somewhere try checking the following -Intercooler piping / clamps -Intake piping leading to turbos / check AFM's aren't loose -Check there is no vaccum hoses loose. Make sure all clamps are tight etc. And no loose vacuum hoses

  7. Go for Fujitsubo. They are known for having the quietest systems without comprimising performance. Have used them a few times on previous cars, would highly recommend them. Probably a "Power Getter" or "RM-01A" model would suit nicely. If you can find someone that stocks them, they should be anywhere between $1200-$1500 for cat back. OR for a cheap alternative, go an X-Force cat back system with silencer in it - less than $1,000 easy
  8. Hi Mate Try Adam at TM Autosports Tuggerah if your willing to go Central Coast, he just tuned my GTR in the last few weeks and I was very happy with it. He has a fair bit of experience with Microtech as well as Skylines. I find him to be very honest and straight forward. They close this Friday, and reopen on the 7th January though.. They also have a loan car option i think if ya need to leave your car there.

  11. Tony, With the supporting mods you have it would be fine, do you have greddy cams and adjustable gears or just adjustable gears? I would suggest cams or at least your standard cams dialled in to get most of the larger turbo. I know of R32 GTR's running between 300-350kw at the rears with T04z, 260's cams and standard bottom end. Also running 11sec1/4s on Pumpfuel. Expect full boost around 4,500-5k and it will take off like a jet from there. I probably wouldnt run more than 19-20psi on the standard bottom end, and with a good tune. Keep in mind to change to single turbo you will also need the following: *Turbo Manifold to suit single T04Z turbo (6Boost are around $1,000, HKS are $1500+ or Ebay for under $450) *External Wastegate -44mm or larger, id personally go a 60mmV-Band (HKS $1000, or Ebay $250ish) *New dump/front pipe and screamer/wastegate pipe (Would have to be custom) *Bigger injectors, Walbro 255LPH intank Fuel Pump *New intake pipe and airfilter setup to suit single turbo *New/modified intercooler piping from turbo to intercooler *Larger AFM's if not running MAP sensor type ECU And last of all, dyno tuning. Would still be cheaper than buying a full HKS kit etc, if you buy the right parts to match it.
  12. This turbo is pretty much one size larger/step up from the GT35 in the Garrett Catalogue.. On an R34 GTT, you would definitely want internals and cams done to get the most out of it. These turbos need to run 18-20psi+ boost to get in their efficiency zone where they really start making good power. You would probably hit full boost by 4,500-4,900 RPM. And then hit redline very very quickly In my opinion it would make over 350kw atw very easily with supporting mods. I know of GTR's making 400awkw with this turbo. If your sticking with standard internals, i wouldnt go larger than a Garrett GT3037/GT3076. They will easily make 250-290kw atw with standard engine GTT, depending on supporting mods.

  18. Thanks for the advice URAS. Was just contemplating how they would compare to HKS 2530's. Do you think a T78 would be able to make more outright power/response than the twin 2530's? (With a built engine / similar boost levels?
