This is a very good buy, the mods alone are almost worth more than the car. A very good setup

Building An Rb26 For Response....
Blue_GTR replied to Antimatter's topic in Forced Induction Performance
For me i would.. Head: Port and polish 260' Cams with good lift Adjustable cam gears (and dialled in properly) Bottom End: 9.0:1 Compression Forged Pistons Forged Rods Treated crank Turbos: HKS 2530 or Garret 2860 -5's With 1.6-1.9 Bar boost I would expect 400kw atw easily. Im running 2530's with Tomei 260s making 360kw atw on 1.3bar, stock bottom end and no head work. I get full boost around 3,800rpm. -
Thats 100hp overall, going GTRS(or -10) compared to 2530(or -5) will come onto full boost later and therefore be a laggier. If you dont mind sacrificing a bit of bottom end power/driveability and a more narrow powerband, then go for the -10's Im using HKS 2530's with standard bottom end making 360kw atw on 1.3bar and 300kw atw on 1bar, that is plenty of power for the street. I would never go GTRS or -10 on a street car... My 2 cents

Go for a GT35-66R with 0.82 rear. It is a GT35 with T04Z compressor wheel. It has a 66mm inducer compared to 61mm on the compressor side. Essentialy it is a "high-flow" GT35, that will be more responsive than a T04Z and make similar top end. I know GCG does them, not sure who else does.

they are OK. you will also need : tuneable ECU, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, upgraded intercooler/front mount plus labour/fabrication work

Hmmm possibly Trust or HKS would have something to suit from one of their T51R or T88 type single turbo kits using dual AFM. Most likely Trust/Greddy would be your best bet.

If it is for 1.6 and you want Trust brand, I would go a Trust TD05-16G or TD05 "Big 16G" from an Evo 1-3, they are good for 200kw atw in an Evo 1-3 with very good powerband. A TD06-20G is still gonna be fairly laggy on a 1.6. I would also forget about doing a 25G on a 1.6, they are still laggy on a 2 litre.. The Evo TD05-16G is essentially a Trust turbo also, as Trust use all Mitsubishi parts for their turbos. Another good option would be a T28 from an S15 if you want good response/power. Both of those turbos can be found for under $500 2nd hand in good condition, which would be a much better for your application. Or even a Twin scroll turbo from an Evo 4-9. They are also a TD05 Big 16G, but twin scroll and slightly more powerful, with Evo 9 being the biggest of all the stock Evo turbos.

Wheels are on hold. Sold pending payment. Thanks for your interest guys -
Could be the problem. Another good way to see if it is an intake leak is to use a smoke machine. If you see smoke leaking from somewhere, there is your problem
