  1. u can also check the details of past ownership of the car (just number of owners and ctp and stuff) thru myrta on rta website.
  2. thanks crack! cobra_mark: that copy does not seem complete?
  3. at the same time as u want it accessible for qlders, you dont want it so far from sydney that will turn away a lot of potential sydneysiders attenting
  4. i have something related to this in my rb25 silvia i recently bought, the oil is in the intercooler piping from turbo to intercooler (maybe other side, not sure). from reading this im guessing oil on the engine side of intercooler isnt too bad, but turbo side (unless it came from engine?) is worse?
  5. anyone able to help me out with how to work out what turbo it is, i check out the car tomorrow
  6. turns out he doesnt have a dyno sheet as the printer wasnt working guess ill just have to wait and see how it goes. i guess even if it isnt really 189rwkw, the potential will be there if its got the fmic, properly boxed pod, reasonable exhaust (it measured 89dB, so maybe its bigger than the 2.5" he thinks it is? not sure on muffler) then it may have potential hopefully it has a decent turbo on it, though ill have no idea how to tell (see this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=42546)
  7. Looking at a car perhaps on saturday, im not sure whether its the stock turbo or not, and im not sure if the owner knows either (he seems to think its a "t28" and when i asked him if it was ball bearing he agreed, but seemed like he had no clue really). So is there any way i can tell if it is or not?
  8. heel and toe is not double clutching in itself. simplest heel toe has nothing to do with double clutching, just to aid in downshifting whilst braking (getting revs high enough for lower gear). of course u can add double clutching to that, but in a syncroed gearbox there isnt all too much point
  9. changing gears early, like only revving to 3k rpm in each gear before going up
  10. thanks guys, ill see if i can have a look at the dyno sheet. havent ridden in many turbo cars so it might be hard to just judge by planting the foot
  11. Hi, as i was looking for a car, i came across one with a rb25det, what i presume is stock turbo ("t28" he said), with a big fmic, at least 2.5" exhaust, aside from that i assume its relatively stock.... would this be capable of close to 185rwkw @ 10psi? also what is the stock turbo on the rb25? is there any way to identify it? i looked around the site, but it doesnt seem to have definite "specs" for this. it seems almost assumed knowledge, which isnt good for those who dont know it
