We have thoroughly been through Shinjuku earlier this week. Right now we are sitting here in the penthouse in Chiba leeching free WiFi access thanks to the big NTT communications building over the road.
mmmgtir and myself are recovering from a long night out at an industrial area about an hour outside Chiba with 3 drift teams and the staff from Crystal Autosports and all I can say is fawk yeah!.
Richard and I were passengering in a 400ps single turbo Cresta and Silvia drifting at 90+kph in at least -5 degrees with heavy sleeting rain.
Japan drifting > anything else this lifetime.
/Edit: there wiull be the MOTHER of all pics threads and a dvd made once we get back to Sydney.
Dori Dori!
Spotted: a few more heavily modified GTR's and Silvias at Border in Ome' earlier today.
Moanie: Your really missing out, we are having a ball here and picking up a load of goodies
Well, right now a bunch of us, RBNT included are drinking it up here in the penthouse at the New Tsukamoto.
And no further joy with the vending machine revenge, that bastard machine will have its day yet!
We have found wifi internet access by chance at our hotel in Chiba so for the moment, we are online.
10am meeting is still on for Saturday - see you guys there
I am very sorry for your loss, but I have to ask why you parked a rather desirable modifed RX7 at westfields Liverpool to begin with, let alone with no security.
Its common knowledge that liverpool westfields carpark is a hotspot for car theft.
Regardless, I hope you recover the car in one peice
Either way, if you havent already, you should be taking the car to a reputable workshop for a thorough checkover to make sure there is nothing going on that you should be aware of.
I appears you dont know very much about the cost of respraying a car, that or you expect to have it done on the cheap and dont really care about the quality of the end result.
Id budget at least $5k for a respray, and maybe more if a colour change is involved.
Having contacts in the paint/panel industry helps - but if you expect to walk into a panel shop and receive a $2k respray you will get a very rude shock
I have the HKS dump pipes ready to fit when my turbos come off and the craftsmanship is excellent
$500 is great value considering they are normally around $1000
Ken,
I assume you mean New Tsukamoto? in which case meet us in the foyer of the hotel at say 7pm on the thursday and we can nut out plans for Friday night.
Sound ok?
Ken, what time will you be heading to autosalon on Friday?
Poida: Thanks for the mobile, I will be picking up a phone when I arrive so I will give you a call, failing that, I will see you at 10am on the Saturday.
Nick
Ken, we arrive at Narita airport at 6pm this Sunday.
Circus and Poida: Would be great to catch up with you guys, meet at 10am Saturday as per the previous plan outside Makukari station and we can go from there.
If you want to join us heading to some other workshops etc, email me
Nick at skylinesaustralia dot com
Thanks
