Hi all, I'm installing a reverse camera in my V35 manual coupe + displaying it thru my aftermarket head unit using it's reverse camera connectors so the screen turns on automatically whenever I put the car in reverse. I've got pretty much everything sorted, but the last thing I'm looking for is the reverse signal wire in the car so I can connect it to the BACK connection on my head unit (requires a 12V input) which auto switches my head unit to reverse camera mode. Looking at the wiring diagram for the coupe, is the reverse signal wire the red wire that runs from the "back up relay" into the "transmission control module/reverse lamp relay"? Any help appreciated!

From the owners manual re: the fuel filter - On gasoline engine models with the Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) System, the fuel filter or fuel lines should be serviced by an INFINITI retailer because the fuel lines are under high pressure even when the engine is off. Fuel filter replacement: See NOTE (4) -> (4) Maintenance-free item (In-tank type fuel filter).

Hi guys, I've been looking at oil catch cans for improved breathing of the engine. A couple of things I'm not sure about though - would an NA engine, at extended full throttle, ever generate enough pressure in the crankcase to blow the dipstick out of it's holder + spew oil over the engine? would an NA engine benefit from one - including keeping sludge buildup out of the inlet manifold? are they legal? why wouldn't manufacturers include them if they help keep the internals clean... :-)

I bought my car from a dealer + when he explained the security in the car he said he'd left the stock immobiliser in + added the proximity sensor immobiliser as well, giving me 2 different immobiliser setups... If I don't hit the 'unlock' button on my key remote, the car won't start. It'll keep turning over, but refuses to start. It self arms this as well. If I turn my engine off + don't lock the car, I still need to hit the unlock button to disable the security + start my car. And of course if the proximity sensor isn't next to the ignition, the car won't start.

Thanks for all the replies :-) I was reading the guide that Ant linked to + saw that it may be possible to access the trim plates to remove the screws holding the head unit in after removing the dash surround side panels (where the accessory plug is located). A possibility instead of ripping the whole dash out??

Thanks Waz - I'll get onto that :-) Chris, I've got an aftermarket double DIN with a motorised face. The motorised face has stopped working so I have to rip the whole unit out + send it back for replacement :-(

Hi everyone, I'm trying to remove my double DIN dash surround in order to get to the back of my head unit to check the connections. I've already removed the shifter surround + the 2 screws on the dash surround (located where the 2 surrounds meet), but that's as far as I got :-( I've been looking at I don't know how many sites tonight looking for the answer but haven't come up with a decent guide to doing it, + I don't want to force the surround + end up breaking it. I'm sure there's some other screws somewhere that I'm missing... Could somewhere guide me in the right direction in how to get the dash surround out, or if there's a way just to pull the head unit out that would be sweet! Thanks!! :-)

2003 silver coupe with the 18"s + brembos. Double DIN surround done in Japan - I'm replacing the Jap spec head unit with one that works in Aus but. Suede seats - didn't want the leather as I'm putting seat covers on Obviously no in-dash TV as I 've got the double DIN - didn't want the in-dash after reading the forums here + seeing the changes required to make it work correctly (didn't want the extra weight of the additional GPS + DVD units ;-) ) Just hangin on delivery next week!!!!!!
