Hicas in 32's is hydraulic... 33's is electric

Hey guys. Have an r32 with an rb25 neo. The 25 into 32 guide I read said to swap your rb20 compressor to the 25 block. We tried this but 32 compressor didn't fit the 34 bracket so we tried to swap the bracket as well but that didn't work either. So my question is, to get me aircon back, do I NEED to retain the r32 compressor (if so do I need to get a bracket made up)? Or can I just bolt an r34 compressor up and get the line fittings changed to fit. Shouldn't the rb20 comp fit on the 25 neo block?

That's what I thought but apparently 34 neo's need speed input as well... Power FC's/etc are different so they don't use it.

Hey guys, Long story short: Got an R32 GTST with RB25DET NEO (NISTUNE) and R33 gearbox. Speedo has been hooked up to work with the 33 gearbox BUT the speed signal is different from R32 to R34 for the VCT. Nistune can see the signal but it's all over the shop. Is there any way to convert the speed signal to something the R34 ECU can use? How do I get around this problem...? Variable cam gears and forget about VCT?

Not meaning to hijack but have you investigated nistune. Much cheaper for the same, if not better result. Not looking to start an argument thread just don't like people spending more than they need to.

Hey guys, Just a quick question. I have an RB25DET NEO that I've got an RB20 A/C compressor on. RB20 belt part number is ay140-40925 and RB25 is AY140-40910. Is there a difference? If so, which one do I need? Thanks

Hit 78 last night so I'm happy. Can have a break for a week or 2 now.

I've got a neo in my 32. I was told when I got it tuned that the ECU needs a speed reading for the VCT to work. So when I get my 33 gearbox I'm going to get them to hook up the speed sender to the ECU and get it retuned. Don't know if that helps.

Agreed with DK's being boring. My Pally is 65. Not sure if I want to go ret pvp or holy pve @ 85. See how they both are I guess.

+1 for these guys. Took my car there yesterday to fix crappy tune (done at 2 other workshops) and it runs perfectly now. Even spotted something straight up that both workshops missed. Ecu wasn't getting speed reading so VCT wasn't working... How did they miss that?!?!?! Going back to get 25 gearbox installed + retune once speed reading is hooked up. Couldn't be happier with these guys.

Is it worth farming for points for BoA gear? I have like 0 J points on my main... My soon to be main is already 53... should i just level that instead
