  2. Edit : they should come up like this http://media.photobucket.com/image/rb25%20polished%20rocker%20covers/Drifftin/12032009903.jpg
  3. If they are alloy they won't chrome very well. Your best option ( from my experience ) is to get them polished. Just look in the yellow pages for one. Usually only takes a day to polish them and they come up great. Then clear coat them and your away. I might be wrong with the chroming alloy but that's what I have been told that it doesn't work well at all. Edit : I just googled metal polisher brisbane and it came up with about eight businesses.
  4. Aren't they alloy ? Couldn't you get them polished? If they are alloy they will polish up nice and shiny then you just clear coat them. I did it to my rims on my motorcycle came up a treat.

  11. We all understand what the RTA is trying to do with P plater's and turbo cars. What I can't get at the moment is yes restrict high performance cars to people with little road experience but let them drive turbo diesel's as they don't have as much power. I can't think of any of the top of my head but there are some turbo diesel's that put out some decent / outstanding power. We should be saying yes you can drive a car and here it is a 200b for your first 2 years. No power steering, no power brakes, no lsd, no anti lock brakes, sips, air bags, gps, driver aids nothing. That way they know when the tyres are loosing traction, know when they are over braking and gives them a true feel / feeedback from the drive. Interesting point was raised a while ago ( although it was on tv so it must be true ) was that the safest driver's on the road are the P platers as they remember all the road rules compared with drivers of verying ages. Either that or those 6 beers are kickin in.
  12. Interesting how we don't think about fire issues until they happen and usually they are a close call. Side note : What were you cooking ?

You know the drill... the minority spoil it for the majority. Take for example yesterday I was parked legally outside my mum's place for breakfast. Low and behold a police car drives past fairly quickly and I think nothing of it. Then five minutes later the same police car drives past and stops blocking my mum's driveway. There isn't anything wrong with the way i'm parking and my car isn't on fire, being towed, stolen or crushed. Yet they sit there for a few minutes. When they left I was thinking damn it I should have set my alarm off they were that close to my car. It's days like that I just want to swap her for a Excel. Slightly of topic.

I only believe it, if its on the telly. Because then it is true
  17. I thought it was a fine for having things dangling from your rear view. As well a fine for having things loose on the dashboard as it is deemed as a distraction. I was under the impression that it was a fine for each piece you have on the dash. I was also under the impression that if a speed camera is setup in a 100kmph zone and you do 100kmph it won't take your picture. Why is it no other dirver thinks that way and slows down to 80kmph ?

Still you are breaking the law. Or is it "it's only illegal if i get caught" ? But that's not the point here.... Hopefully ( we all know it won't happen ) if this gets enough media attention, maybe just maybe, they'll make an example of this person.
  20. Are you going to use something like a "easy out" to get the broken bolts out ?

  23. Speaking of brakes, I just noticed today that my back right hand side brake isn't working. It's not pushing the pads onto the rotor. Where is a good place to go to get brakes checked ?
  24. I definitely need a new job. Anyone got one ? Seriously
