  1. yes psi350 13:1 is supossed to be ideal for a well tuned engine with good fuel and little knock... for the best power... i just bought some vp racing fuel to try out when i turn the boost up to 20 odd psi next week..... i think its 103 motorsport(usa rating) or 108 octane unleaded... its about 100bucks for 20lts not cheap....but big power increases i believe. i would like to get my gtrs afs to about 12.5 to 12.8 it will see a big improvement on the dyno..

  3. psi350 how many rwks are you making so far...what a/f ratio are you running i think mine is 12 to 1...also a bit rich.... yes it was a hot day my intercooler outlet temp was at 50deg after a run... not good usually 30 to 32 deg... your engine looks very impressive....
  4. best i could do was a 12.07 at 118mph at 8.30pm and still 33deg.. farkin hot day..... mucked up the 60ft time with a 1.84... i had been doing 1.7 60fts all day.... bloody close to that 11 sec i am wishing for...he he.. it was a hot day but had a good time ... they should do it a few months later next year. heaps more cars would have run...

  6. i think for high boost i will order the silver hks .9 or 1 bar ones if i want 1.4 bar boost.. with no spikes in the boost curve..
  7. yes the silver ones or 1 bar spring i believe...correct me if i am wrong.. my ones are gold but have the adjustable rod.... i have just adjusted the rod a few turns more to preload the wastegates a bit more... about to try it out after dinner... another mod i have just fitted a 62deg nismo thermostat to help cooling....how helps a bit... cheers..

  11. i have twin hks 2530 turbos on a gtr with gold looking actuators.... the problemb we are having is boost spikes and holding steady boost.. it can hold about 16psi but no more as the boost jumps all over the place.... but sometimes even it spikes if i leave the boost at one setting.. could my old actuators be getting sad...... if i upgrade to the hks silver 1.0bar actuators can they hold higher boost.. i am running a new blitz id 3 controller in manual mode set to 52 boost ratio and 20 gain.. (16psi).i also mounted the blitz soleniod under the pod filters so the hoses are nice and short for better response.. cheers...
  12. you should look at the trust long bypass type dumps with front pipe all in one... i have seen one in front of me and it is a work of art.... the bypass pipe is about 400mmlong the hks one is about 150mm.... the longer the better.. it works out cheaper to get the trust set than to get the hks split dumps and front pipe... the nismo fuel pump fits in with no mods about 500bucks...not worth modding a 044 for 100bucks....saving... i have 2530;s they are great... make 350rwks at 1.5 to 1.6 bar boost and a good tune... cheers..

  14. sorry they are 45,461 yen plus ems freight is around 630bucks plus 15%duty plus 10%gst would be 796.00 landed.... i think around 600 would be a better price..... cheers...

  17. yes thats my car ran a 12.2 at 114.98mph 30 deg and 80% hum...bloody hot night... that run was at 1.1 bar boost and ran crappy up top with the heat soak.. last run let the car cool down a bit even the intercooler outlet temp was 39deg still and had 1.3 bar boost the car was 3mph faster at 1/2 track and went from 3rd gear to 6th gear oops. all over ...ran 12.4 at 96mph... so shes ready for that 11 sec pass next time i hope..... cheers...
  18. i think you would need high boost to get the gt ss turbos to 300rwks. but i think it can be done... just remember my run was at 16psi on a 32 deg day... so with 20 psi boost should see some more power maybe 330 rwks or so... i am happy with 2530's they spool at about 4000 to 4200rpm and go crazy after that all the way to 8500rpm... for circuit work gtss would be a bit less laggy but only maybe 500 rpm.... cheers..
  19. it was 32 to 34 deg in brisbane yesterday and he started tuning at about 10am .. so i would imagine it was quite hot when the final run was done... hot day, hot engine... etc etc.. last night was good at 10 pm intercooler air temp at 30 deg and colder air it went really hard... what do you think the getrag 6speed box will handle safely.. power wise...??? with the right fuel what boost level do think is possible with my setup... it has 16psi now with 10 % tolulene....?? thanks for all your help along the way....
  20. i am using a blitz id 111 boost controller.. its very fast acting and hlods boost at 16 psi so far easy.....
  21. snowman the cees shifter is great, i believe it is 30% shorter shift where as the nismo one is only 15 % shorter.. if you can find a cees shifter grab it as they dont make shifters any more.. went bust... think mine was 500bucks landed.... nengun is a bit slow at present he must be busy... but he will answer its usually worth the wait.....
  22. took it for a spin late last night.. wow... dont know if the gearbox will like that much power... what are the 6speed getrag boxes power limits...???? had the boost set to 16psi and only had about 10 to 15 on the knock readings in the power fc...seems like a great tune to me... no flat spots or surging at cruise either... i would highly recommend Maz Fix at underwood in brisbane.. they are starting to do a few more skylines mainly with Micro tech ecu but his power fc tunes are pretty good also... they tune the brisbane streetmachines gtr with a power fc also and it runs 10s all day.... thats good result for dwanes car also.. what boost did he run to get 305rwks....??? hows your beast going ylwgtr2... my next step will be some cams maybe 264 9.1mm hks or tommi cams...
