  1. hi guys, ive got a r33 Gts that im soon to get resprayed and a kit fitted to. id just like some opinions on what sides and rear would look good on my car and where i could buy them from in melbourne. atm i have a Trust(i think) front bar, and GTR rear wing. im liking the look of the veilside style rear bar and the 400R style sides but im worried about the heights not matching up. any 1 know if they will/wont line up? or any other rear/sides that will look or fit better?? thanx ppl
  2. how long does it take to do a run tune??? will the length of time affect the quality of run in if it takes too long?? or wont it be enough to worry about??
  3. i think i saw the same Blue R33 GTR today. parkd on canberra ave. in fyshwick area i think it was also saw a black 32gts as i was turning onto canberra ave from state circle. got a wave and tried to return1 lol, was fumbling with fone

  5. call petroject (now known as logicar) if your in melb. 9873 7006. i got an NGK/NTK o2 sensor from them today for around $100. direct fit, now gotta hope my fuel usage goes down from ~250km per tank lol.

  7. did you actually notice any diffrences by mounting them in the higher positions??
  8. wouldnt it be easier to use the internal oil feed to the VCT from the lifter oil feed and then not worry about the VTC solenoid and leave it unpulged??? some 1 tell me if im wrong... im still learning and reading b4 i start my 25/30 build

  11. okay, im getting a rough idea of what pistons are better than others now. but when do you start having to go for the best eg. Jun or Trust?? im aiming at a max of around 350rwkw with a RB25/30. what pistons would be recomended for a power like this?(it will be street driven) JE or CP??
  12. if u still wanna make sure the pump aint working take the oil filter off and try start it then lol. if the pump is working u will know about it
  13. ne 1 know where i can get prices for the nitto oil pump in melb?? and is it worth the extra money over the N1?
  14. im at 1.2bar but i dont usually drive around on that.. only .7 daily.
  15. i have a 2530 in my r33. very nice turbo, basically no lag. u should be able to get 300rwhp(223rwkw) with supporting mods... im up around 240rwkw with it but i think its maxed out
  16. im looking at a 26/30 upgrade for my r33 gtst.... well gettin a rb30e block tomoz... are there any problems i will run into with this head and my pfc?? any TPS or CAS problems?? i assume the easiest way to do fuel is to get the 26rail & injectors to suit, any problems with running them on my 33gtst PFC???
  17. ne 1 know if this is the same for HKS shocks??? i have no idea how they are set atm and wanna make sure there even. so is it just a matter of clockwise untill it stops??? and then back how ever many clicks i want????

  19. zurlox, 6.3 - 8.3nm isnt tight at all... probably only a little bit tighter than u can do with a screw driver. if its turned more than twice in aluminium then its nearly deffinatly stripped the thread. should spray water around it when its running and see if it leaks. if its turbo then the boost could force it open then there will be a leak i think best bet would b to find sum1 with a thread tapping set and re tap it and fit a new bolt..... but if the threads totally gone then u might have to get it inlarged to the next size up as there will be nothing to tap. or mayb get a helicoil put in????
  20. my T style (like carmates) bar does scrap, especially when it was as low as i bought it... but as long as i turned on an angle it wouldnt touch... thanx for the heads up about carmate.com ShyBoi!! ne 1seen the same bar in melbourne or another shop??? unique autos is pretty expensive by the looks of their site...
  21. have a look at www.carmate.com im looking for a new kit aswell. i have the same as their T Style front bar, same problem as u... not too low, but still scrapes. im still gonna get a new 1 the same... i like it too much
  22. it has had a second earth put on just out of the pump b4 my mate got the car. is the fuel pump control module along the standard earth wire?? or does it change + to the pump aswell, if so that could b the problem as i think thers only a problem with the power.
  23. swt thnx heaps... ill let my mate know. do u know if it runs straight thru the loom to the ECU?? or does it join to anything else that could be the cause?
  24. hi every 1, last night my mates R33 series 2 skyline died on him. went down to check and after looking at a number of things found no fuel goin to rail. Today we had another look at it at mine and found the fuel pump wasnt going when the ign is turned on. we checked the fuse and tried the relay out of my 33 and it was exactly the same. We then checked power at the relay terminals, and found there isnt any power going to the relay to switch it. i bridged the power to the fuel pump and it starts & runs fine (after a jump start)! Just wondering if any 1 has had a similar problem. i have no idea where the signal power comes from to turn on the relay in the r33's so any tips or things to check would be great.
