This is a regretful sale as I am now working interstate in a remote location, and will not be able to seek the benefits of this great car.   5. FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took me 4 hours to rip the car apart, take the whole unit out (Myself I may add.. Tough job), Took all the rails out and found out it was a piece of filing/metal that was blocking one of the rails. Thing was, it was between the two runners, so I could only get to it by taking the glass off. Anyhow, off to the car wash... Its well over due!!! Cheers guys.
  6. I have tried to push it.. Its too damn solid. It appears to stop at the guide links?? Which appear to be loose. Am I able to remove it with it half open? Is there any way to close it manually? (Its raining quite a bit).
  7. My roof is stuck half way open. Am I still able to get it out using this technique? Is there any way to close it when its jamming half way?
  8. Thanks for the pics. Can someone tell me how to remove the sunroof if it is stuck open? It gets jammed half way when closing.
  9. If you have a small leak at the connection to the intercooler piping, you will can a rustling leaves type sound. Also if the dump pipe has not been connected properly. I had my turbo spool to 12psi once in my r33, and it did sound a hell of a lot different to the 7psi spool up (obviously). What boost you running?

  11. Can anyone clarify if the up down button only works when the sunroof is fully closed? It just seems to be on an odd angle when trying to close.

  14. Yeh I have been looking at it, and it looks like it is snagging on the roof where there is a support? Just wondering if the feet that push up are stuck in the upright position? Or close to it. Another thing, When the sunroof is open(into the roof), I assume the up down button would not work at all??
  15. Damn, I cant even manually close it. This is not a good start It seems to stop right when the two feet (The parts where the roof tilts at the axis) approach the little openings on the rails. It does not stop as if it were a motor problem, or tooth, it seems to just suddenly stop as if it has hit something.
  16. Hi guys, I have an issue with the sunroof on the r33. I went through the car wash(Only purchased it an hour ago), and suddenly had water dripping on my head. So I then opened the sunroof, and then went to close it and it would stop half way. The motor tries to keep going but it just gets stuck. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Cant really keep it open as it is, as it will be raining soon. Also, the interior slide out bit seems to be loose, and not guided. Is this how it should be? Thanks guys in advance.

Hi guys, Just had ACL Forded pistons and rings, block bored and honed, ACL performance big end bearings, Stronger value springs, cylinder head overhaul (port and polish), Tomei upgraded camshafts, adjustable cam wheels, high performance cam belt, 500hp bb Garrett turbo, 40mm external wastegate, braided oil lines, high flowed injectors, up graded fuel pump, universal oil breather tank, inter-cooler, hpc coded inter-cooler pipes and rocker cover, Apexi carbon fibre front strut bar, Apexi S-AFC, new tie rod ends, 3inch oval muffler with 4inch gold exhaust tip, new radiator core, boost controller, new water pump, wolf 3D computer... Problem is, the first turbo melted, and we thought it was the turbo causing the smoke, and so on. Now that the turbo has been replaced, it is still happening. Now the smoke is blueish, and the compression test shows good(obviously the oil is pressurising it), however, the 3rd spark plug keeps fouling with oil. Now the mechanic who rebuilt it suggests that its a manufacturing error in the piston ring, and that would require changing. Now, I need to know if this is possible to kill a turbo, also, how much labor (Estimate of course) would I be looking at to get the ring replaced. Before you ask I should know this, I got all this work done.. I purchased this car like this (For a damn good price) from a mate, who has had enough of the problems. Im happy to cut the grass though Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  18. Cheers Dez!!! How far can the factory turbo go? And what are the compressor sizes on them? What is the suggested replacement turbo? Plus, is a manifold upgrade worth it? To maybe a tuned length? Of course this would be after some ecu/fuel upgrades. All in time I suppose! I have modified my turbo falcon with a wolf3d,inj, gt35/40 but was dissapointed with the decreased driveability it caused. Did reach 280rwkw though. Hope to match it with the 33.
  19. Hi guys, New to the r33 gtst, just need some things clarified. Current mods are: 2 stage boost control (Currently on 10psi) FMIC 3.5inch Exhaust with cannon. Questions I have are: 1. What is a safe amount of extra boost to run on the stock fuel/ignition/ecu setup? 2. Can someone explain the ecu. Does it self tune to adust? 3. What are the next best performance modifications to consider? 4. Does not have a bov, what is the best sounding, and best for maintaining spool between gear changes? Cheers guys!
