  1. Krishy, did you see Mike Foyle and Jon O'Bir at St Pauls a few weeks back? They were amazing. Perfect set, kept on bringing out the tunes until management literally turned off the mains power at 6:15am haha. They just wanted to keep going and going! Perfect venue for it, too. But they had a perfect set... kept everyone moving for hours on end. They had everything from techy trance to uplifting trance to a bit harder stuff. Was amazing! And a decent crowd, too. At least 100 people there still at 6am cranking away.
  2. I've never ever heard the term 'hype man'. Every flyer that Australian clubs have for club events (not a hip hop/rap event) all have MC **** or whatever their stage name is. I've never seen something like 'Ryley with Hype Man Steve' playing tonight on a flyer...
  3. You should had seen the strobes at the Spring Break main room. They were cranking dnb but then they cut all the lights and had 4 giant strobes flashing away for I swear 10 minutes. That was intense. By the end of it everyone was just about twitching on the floor. Crazy. I thought there was a law that stated strobes in clubs could only be switched on for 30 seconds at a time?
  4. Yep State of Origin on this Friday night at HQ with Nik Fish, etc. But it's uplifting sort of trance until about 2am in the main room... then it's hardstyles til close which is a bit of :| for me. I miiiiiight check it out... don't know yet. Speaking of trance, just found my perfect NYD night event in Melbourne. Tydi and Marlo live in Central Park... 3 levels of pure trance with live vocals. Epic! I'll be hitting that up after Summadayze Melbourne. MC's in any scene should be shot. All they say is "ooohhh yeah" and "here it comes!" and "Jump!" and "aw shit" and "are you ready for this one?" and "put your hands up" and shit like that.
  5. Haha I was just thinking the same... I remember at Autosalon a few years back, some dude from car toys tried selling me a BOV keyring. He showed me that when you blow into it, it sounded exactly like a bov. Well, it didn't. It sounded like someone blowing into a piece of metal. And he wanted $40 for it. Get. f**ked.
  6. Haha funny you mentioned the foam parties there... I just hit up that Web Archive website, found the old Church website and found a whole heap of foam party pics. Epic times! Nothing like 58's foam parties... it's basically 2 people blowing bubbles.
  7. I know! But I just got my Prodigy tickets for melbourne in March haha... So i have Sensations in Melbourne, Summadayze in Melbourne, Tiesto in Melbourne and Prodigy in Melbourne. I should just move over there. I'll settle down and start saving... ...when I'm 35! haha
  8. Haha oh yes. Adelaide needs a proper recovery club... none of this Red's crap or 58's that shuts at 8am.
  9. Now all Adelaide needs is for someone to buy Rise and re-open it... And maybe even Club 199... Good memories haha
  10. And that's what Adelaide needs... more variety and places like this. Places like Savvy's attempt to put out some classy image, but they can never pull it off. I reckon this place might just be able to do that.
  11. Well the 'exclusive' launch was the other week... all VIP's and shit went there. Apparently you had to drop some serious names just to get through the door. I've been invited to their Saturday night this weekend which features some DJ from Melbourne (can't remember his name from the top of my head) but doors open at 8pm, closes at 5am. I'm assuming it's already open now to the general public, but I'll head down Saturday night to take a squiz. It looks like such an amazing transformation compared to what it used to be. I remember the toilets down stairs didn't even have door handles inside since they got ripped off weekly. And the toilets were always destroyed. They're advertising it as a place open from Thursday nights through to Sunday nights. Should be good. http://www.theapplebar.com.au/ <-- that's their website. Judging by the pics from the other week, you need some decent eye candy under your arm to get in haha.
  12. I know 95% of SAU aren't clubbers... But for the 5% who are... Can you remember Church the nightclub? Amazing place back in the day. Filthy shit, but f**k it was awesome. Then they got shut down a few years back after one too many leb fights/underagers getting in and shit like that. Well, after sitting dormant for a few years, it's re-opened... into... Applebar! It's a pretty 'exclusive' club spinning pure house music. Cocktail bar on Level 2, Dance floor on level 1 and a smoking area on level 3 apparently. Check out how much this shit has changed, though: Good to see Adelaide getting some more of these types of clubs. Sure, the filthy places are fun, but these kind of places are also real good fun since you don't get all the tools in there. I'll have to check it out on the weekend I think.
  13. Are you serious?! How can you make Mark purely responsible for everyone's behaviour/driving ability?! Regardless of the cruise or who's organized it... you'll always get the odd car ripping a skid or something. Ns.com cruises have always been entertaining over the years.
  14. Hahahaha sounds like a pretty sick cruise then. Ns.com cruises are pretty much the most fun you can have/watch in your car. Think back to the Hardtuned mega cruise last year. That was at least 300 cars at 2 meet spots... good times. Shame that SAPOL rocked up, though. Nothing wrong with a bit of spirited driving, eh? You'll get this kind of behaviour on any cruise you organize. Even once when I had 4 mates going up for a drive through the hills, we ended up having a Cefiro following us out of no where sliding everywhere, linking, etc. Always fun times on ns.com cruises.
  15. Been a while since I've been on a good cruise... I might pop down tonight I reckon.
  16. Oh what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! Now where the f**k am I going to go?! Why are all the decent import mechanics up f**king North!! Ah.
  17. Haha I reckon. I'm not the biggest fan of Pete Tong and his mixes, but he's a real old schooler, and more well-known these days for his commentary on Radio One. But Heaven on Earth has quite a decent line-up. But it closes at 3am... and trance comes on at Sensations in the main arena! 45,000 people in the one arena... can't effing wait.
  18. http://www.adelaideclubber.com.au/index.ph...l&Itemid=35 This is why Adelaide likes anal sex on NYE. This is also why I'm heading to Melbourne for NYE... Sensation white f**kers! And yes Mitch, I forgot my italics.
  19. Ultratune.
  20. Selling the 33 again?
  21. Saw Paranormal Activity last night. Such an epic movie. THey made it on a $15k budget, and did so f**king well.
  22. Blingtr, your sig is a very big call...
  23. Oh yeah, I forgot, spotted Bit Sus in the city on Saturday night I think. I've got no idea what street you were on, but I remember reading your plates and thinking "f**k, I know that plate from somewhere" haha
  24. Sinergy can go jump into a deep, deep lake.
  25. That ebay GTR has done way more K's than 82,000. Look at the steering wheel wear and tear for a start. The body looks a bit rough, too. And that is stupidly cheap for a V-Spec 2!! Even a normal 32 GTR doesn't even go for that cheap unless it's a grenade. I'd steer clear of it. And lol'd at the comment on the ad:
