I would highly suggest you get in contact with the Novotel hotel manager. He/she should be able to tell you how to get in contact with carpark security who would have security cameras around that car park. As far as I can remember I saw a few in that carpark last time I visited darling harbour.

You need to cancel your current rego on the car in VIC, and whoever you're swapping your car with, they need to have it re-registered in NSW. That involves, Blueslip, Greenslip, and a engineering cert if you have engine mods (the blueslipper will pick up on this during inspection)

Not really keen on spending much more money on my car since rego is gonna bite me in the ass. Engineering Cert: ~$500 Blueslip: $80 Rego: $250 Stamp duty: ~$600 Number plates: $35 Already spent $250 on a original intake airbox to replace the air pods so I dont have to get an emissions test. That also applies to the FMIC.

Damn, you know I was seriously thinking of getting your car before I found Jamies. Obvious reasons aside, he seemed to have a good track record of service history, where as your's didnt mention any. NSW laws... you need an engineering cert to go with the blueslip if you have any mods which the mechanic points out when inspecting the car.

I guess the upside is you already had a GTR where as I didnt at all I dont think verbal confirmation is good enough. My engineer is very finicky. And overall he's being very slow with the report like its a walk on the beach. I'm just trying to get sh** moving faster so I can get my car on the road finally rather than depending on him to find out all this stuff for me. It's just killing me with my mew baby sitting in the driveway doing nothing. Also having no ends of bad luck finding any part numbers remotely close to the FMIC. Really, if I had a specifications manual pfd or somthing, showing him that would be good enough I'm guessing. Already looked in the engine manual... Hello all, I'm currently trying to get an engineering certificate so my R33 GTR can pass the blueslip for rego. However, the engineer assesor wants to know if my front mount intercooler is stock, otherwise I have to get an IM240 emissions test from Penrith RTA which I'm not too keen on doing. To me it looks very stock. All the mounting points match up perfectly. No logos/brands can be seen anywhere. It looks fairly old. i.e. It's discoloured dark/greyish. No signs of modifications to fit. I took measurements: W:60cm x H:28cm x D:7cm However, is there anyway of proving these are the original dimentions? Looked everywhere but need solid evidence that it's original to satisfy the engineer and give the OK. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Just replied. Also forgot to mention my R33 GTR is a Series II if that makes any difference??

Great! thanks for the info. I did notice there was a white sticker on the drivers side door jam, but didnt really read. Will check it out tomorrow. Will help my engineer alot!

Hi all, I'm a proud new owner of a Midnight R33 GTR which I bought off another forum member here. Bought it from VIC so I'm currently getting a blueslip and engineering cert to pass rego in NSW. Met the engineer assesor today and he was concerned with the width of my wheels. They are 18" BBS gold rims and are 10" wide. He said If my car weighs over 1200kg's then I'm allowed to go 2 inches over the original wheel width and keep my rims on to pass rego. Searched around but couldnt find much info on the original wheels specs for the R33... Does anyone know the original wheel width? Much appreciated.

Well they can't but they will start to knit pick until they find something thats not right. Eventually though yeah they will run out of things to defect you with.

hey, I am interested in your car. I would have PM'ed you but I dont have enough posts yet. I have a honda prelude so usually post on prelude australia forums lol. I would like to know a couple things first though.. Have you ever got it dyno tuned before? And if so what power did it put out? It looks very neat and clean. Was wondering if you had any pictures of the interior and seats though? Think it would be possible if I could come up this week and inspect it? I live down in Wollongong. Let me know
