yeah once again depends on if you want SQ or 5.1 dolby surround sound for movies in the dash? then you need rear fill, and centerchannels. which needs to be taken into account for amp selection?? a skyline is so small its money better spent on really good front speakers if you want clear sounding SPL or full sound ....not caring about your back seat passengers who even fits in the back seat?, what a waste..lol guess it wasnt designed for tall people to drive like me a few hundred can buy good splits, if you shop smart, or buy the right parts to create your own splits with SEAS, Morel,Vifa, Focal parts. which are the best money can buy in most cases, great smooth sound, high SPL. power handling off the scale with the right xover. but you must know how to mount, with baffles, and create xovers by hand. easy for some of us but not the average installer at your local shop find a good installer , ask chris rodgers he know a lot (including me..lol), maybe near you ? as I'm in adelaide and not geared up for biz yet.

lol , mate I need more of everything, and have ABN as the car is heading for promo/show duties in the future shoot me a pm with your details please I'm doing overlays, raw parts and molding new parts people, wet and dry, 100% real carbon, kevlar backed lower lip, arramid glass heat shields, and on some parts fiberglass on one side of composite foam construction, carbon fiber outer. carbon fiber can ring (high freq. resonate) at high SPL so the innner parts of the sub box are lined in foam core and fiberglass weave, colour dyed epoxy, nearly 25mm thick but stronger then a surfboard. you dont need a vacuum bag if you do it right, wax on styrene ,extreme care and a heat gun. more goodies today.lol 4 gauges for audio setup to need a carbon /alloy faceplate for roof mount and relocate sunroof switches in new facia 2 output milli-volts from head unit to amps 1 temp gauge for amps 1 volt gauge for car all dash lights converted to blue led last week, and these gauges and greddy boost gauge to match no photos yet, excessive rain and a house roof leak delay..lol

I think you need to consider this first how much space do you want to loose?? how much weight do you want in your boot ? (its a performance car) how much custom work are you willing to do or pay for ? do you plan on competing in car sound offs? or car show displays? 12" subs take more space then 10" and a good 10"sounds better then a average 12" how much do you plan to spend ? parts and labour will you listen to it loud all the time? or do you want sound quality over SPL(sound pressure) ? what kind of other speakers do you have up front, head unit ? you would want a balanced sound not a sub with factory speakers and deck there are hundreds of woofer companies, not just kicker, alpine. and most companies produce cheap version(50.00+), and vary all the way up to really expensive models(2000.00+) cost doesn't equate to good sound, box design is a huge factor and for amps, too much power and current draw will need extra mods to improve your charging circuits, battery, alternator, wiring, etc? do you have a amp running the other speakers or will that amp run the fronts too ? don't overlook, some of the basic brands, Jaycar amps won the car audio" First place "best buy. and can drive low ohm loads with tons of power. and cheap too. I don't sell subs or amps (yet) but create audio show pieces, and custom sub boxes . since 1987 , so I'm not brand biased but know what works

get NOS!!! buy a case of spray whipped cream and use the NOS propellant from them to get the daily fly'n, then use the whipped cream to hide the car, or some randy sexual fantasy...lol or fill the airbags with it,,,, hit something and the whipped cream saves ya..lol

The "club" is still in infancy so rocking up to a CAM's event is a bit over the top ???, Villis is casual and central for the most part, perfect for sorting out minor details and talking car smut. noob's can feel welcome at Villi's. its not flash but in time maybe we can get a better location? patent but positive people???? Villi's has Pie too..lol stop whinging , I drive 100k + round trip to come to villi's, but hey I don't mind every now and then, even if i have to see dans old man car, and dave's 200...lol

not sure if I have time but , what format do you need them in? what software do you plan on using to interface. what software to render 3D? what gauges do you need , colours? what size? resolution is the screen running? bit depth? its going to be a mountain of work to interface program ,might be easier to use existing software and tricking that out to your specs, colours? what OS is your car pc running?

Just A Quick Question About Audio Sound
Carbon 34 replied to mjscar's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
yes the sound waves need to be isolated between the boot air and front of the car to produce decent bass, as much as possible in a skyline that is., but check the wires too, bet one is backwards on the pioneers, use my last post to test the phase without cutting up wires -
Just A Quick Question About Audio Sound
Carbon 34 replied to mjscar's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
I would be certain they are out of phase if you fade to just the back speakers and then right to left i bet the bass improves with one playing the pioneers will play lower without a doubt and higher too!!! , and you should buy some better fronts too, factory speakers are rubbish. break off the magnet and put it on the oil drain bolt to catch metal filings in the engine..lol just in case!!! the new ones will be more efficient then stockers rocket boy, and prob lower ohm loads too, most factory ones are 6 or even 8 ohm. not 4 when measured factory ones blow easy, a high power deck will smoke them , and distortion will kill any speaker no matter how many watts it can handle -
put a fake huge cannon slip on tip , on it a massive wing , trolley handle ? black and white, spiral graphics on hubcaps to hypnotize cops and innocent bystanders a drag car bonnet scoop as tall as roof, non functional model..lol cardboard side skirts and airdam, duct taped on tint the windows black, so you wont be seen driving it...lol that car is fugly mate...but stealthy in its own way,,,,and maximum birth control for free cause ..you will never get laid driving that..lol even married you won't..lol

Pontiac Is Officially Dead
Carbon 34 replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Pontiac was popular with rental car companies, and old timers. in the 90's besides that it was rubbish the last decent Pontiac was in the 60-70's,( the Adelaide built car was the best build quality by far) shame to loose the oz ,local jobs but they did it to themselves, GM just didnt look into the worlds economy and driving factors of smaller cars, they kept building massive fuel guzzlers for soccer moms. now Detroit,Michigan is a ghost town compared to the past. agree Buick needs to go too, caddy too, just make it one company to reduce the exec overheads, I'm glad I moved to Oz and not stuck in USA , I feel for my family and friends back there and I'm sure Oz is still in store for more $$$ depression coming soon you would be mistaken to think its going to get better in a few months...lol but its a real wakeup call to the world
