yep, funny story, ford sold them ??? kitted up VT v6 executurds they couldnt get off lot,with limited numbering R8 body kit, mine had roller rockers and extractors, gotta say Holden is built way better then GM usa cars, decent big car, but worn out at 160,000k..lol

bet the throttle body is black inside, but should be kinda bronze coloured. just warm up the engine, after taking the air cleaner lid off, hold it at about 2k rpm and spray inside the throat of carbie, motor will try to stall, stop spraying for a min, then repeat till clean, whats left of carbie cleaner wash off the outside of carbie. and pcv valve and put it back in. after it cools off, look to see if the plate in carb is free, top one is choke. the little holes are the vents to float bowl, and idle curcuit, if you see raw fuel pouring/sputtering out of vents in carb, you have other problems in carb. also can be a bad electric choke? check vacuum line to dizzy advance, plugged in? hope that helps mate safety note, do not put your face over carbie, if it backfires, you will get a face full of fire

spotted a huge amount of lines tonight, in my 200k drive..lol black r32 with red and black three spokes, think it was in a mag a few years ago? followed him into glenelg from lonsdale, car was so dusty you could plant corn on the boot lid. real nice white r33 with nice black 5 spokers, maybe gtr, too hard to tell from a far damos porn rims lots more, to many to mention

I take it its a carbie ?, the choke is stuck, the idle circuit it dirty, air filter dirty? dirty PCV ?, vacuum leaks from dizzy to manifold, carbie vacuum advance ? get some carb cleaning and hose it down with a fast idle after it warms up, problem solvered if its carbie, and carb doesnt need rebuild

if you go that route use VHT Brand, much better then others. they make super high temp clear coat to make them super glossy. I did my R31 calipers, 7 years ago, still shiny red with polished fins and that was just paint not clearcoat too took a dremel to the fins to shine them up after deburring cast marks on them.

took some before shots, tomorrow in the daylight i'll take some aftershots to post up i deburred the casting marks off mine too. lots smoother now

yep ground coated mine first, tried the calipers polished shiny but the ground coat made it look better, buy at supercheap for 17 ea
