  1. Yeh I think I worked it out, I'm a numpty :(

Sorry for the thread hijack GeeTeeTee

Haha all good, interesting to learn from others builds... Every bit of info helps as this is all new to me...

The 34 is on hold temporarily as the rain decided it wanted to flood the new shed so i spent the weekend digging 20m of Ag Pipe in and placing 1.5tonne of gravel around it.... Try flood it now!!!! :spank:

Has anyone fitted a Plazmaman pro series intercooler and had to change the A/C fan? I have to ditch the old setup and go with a thinner fan like a Davies Craig or something, if i can be lazy and copy someone it would be much easier than having to measure myself..... LOL

    Cheers

    Matt

  2. Really?? I don't think mine has it?

I'll send you a pic of the underside of my plazmaman tonight when I get home, pretty sure I only have the 4 little nipples for the vacuum lines etc and the bigger one at the rear for the aac thingy.

    I could be wrong though.

My standard one was blocked at the plenum but "looked" connected so I am gonna do the same thing again just to keep it looking legalish. You mat have a small welding job as well then

Hey champ, i emailed Alex @ Plazmaman and this was the reply -

There is a big ¼ port on the underside for this , but I recommend that you run it into a breather canister if you have a serious setup.

    So hopefully that helps....

  3. he he black goodness in the engine bay........ :P

Once you go black..... you never go back!!! :w00t:

The whole aim is to have it looking as stealth as possible with a high mount turbo... My old high flow setup looked stock and it never got me in trouble with the cops, but i figured if it all looks neat and stockish (Due to it all being plain black) then they may be less inclined to harass me, plus if i put to many shiny parts on it i may attract Bower Birds AKA DAVE074

As soon as the cam covers and fuel rail return ill post pics (Thanks to Craved Coatings!!!)

  4. I've had quite a few tuners tell me that there is quite a difference and that it is basically the same as an rb26 head. You sure there isn't some truth in this?

I have also been told they respond a lot better to modifications that the old RB25 due to the head setup etc... I think the rods are stronger too? But as i have an R34 i have a NEO if i like it or not

As for the high flow setup, i decided to ditch my high flow as it was laggy and overall not that impressive... I am looking forward to the 3037 conversion for the response and power...

REALLY looking forward to the back to back test on the GTX vs the GT!!!

  5. 7. No external links! - Do not post links to items being sold on e-bay, or other forums. If you wish to start a thread advertising the same items on SAU, you must include all details and price in your thread. Asking people to refer to e-bay for more info is not acceptable. If you're too lazy to copy and paste the details on here, your thread will be deleted.

    :domokun:

  6. that's what i thought, ive had it checked... it's a 3076

The Cartridge is a 3076 from the numbers you have, but it is a Hybrid/Hi Flow in the std housings which limits the power... I'm not trying to ruin your thread, just helping the people looking to purchase know what it is. I am only going off my limited knowledge and if i am wrong then ill happily edit the post with the correct info

    Have a read -

    http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/307628-new-rb-nissan-special-garrett-gt3076r-ball-bearing-turbo/page__st__40

Some good points on Page 3 as to what you actually have.

  7. yeah direct swap mate. the CHRA is the same, the wheels and front housing is different thats all.

If you run the same rear size can you do a back to back comparison?????

There are plenty of comparisons on US cars etc.... But none for our sort of beasts....

I'd be really keen to see the improvements in spool, power, torque etc...

  8. From memory, the rotors (maybe on the fronts) are Endless as well. Look for the blue colour around the centre.

I remember Centrax mentioned jap rotors don't always go well with non-jap pads.

Yep, the front rotors are Endless mate, rears are stock, i found that out from the stash of receipts.

Ill have to find out what pads best suit the front rotors then, the rears are still stock rotors and i am only looking for a 12mth option until i can look into bigger brakes for track use....

  9. It will look good man, Im thinking of setting up my own direct phone line (like the batphone...hahaha)to Chris' shop cause ive been getting so much stuff done there at the moment :whistling:

Haha i like the idea =D

On another note, HEL Braided brake lines arrived today.

My car is currently running ENDLESS pads front and rear with ENDLESS rear pads only, the rear pads are roo ted and i am looking at what to do until i can afford big brakes... What are people using for hard street use with occasional track use? Is there a cost effective option without the brake fade, squeeling etc etc???

    :thanks:

  10. You will be very happy with Chris' powdercoating mate, what colour are you going with?

I'm looking forward to it =D Plenty of awesome looking work on his site, i have decided i will get my rims done too...

I have chosen satin black to match the plenum, cooler and piping. I am keeping with the stealth theme so basically very plain while still looking neat.

  11. hey all, chasing a coil loom for my rb25det NEO engine, i broke on plug so now its got a bit of a missfire here and there, really pissy, so if anyone has one floating around, just let me know

I had the same issue champ as they are brittle az... Nothing a couple of small zip ties wont fix =)
