  1. its very common to be a leaking heater core, its behind the glove box roughly and its common to get the leak in the cabin of the car. The heater is very cheap but its a massive job to change it.
  2. Well i have spent ages trying to work out why my gear box keeps spilling fluid out through the breather in the gear box. No seals are leaking, its just coming out of the breather. It didn't happen with the previous fluid that was in there only once i put the shock proof stuff in. Once i changed it, i poured almost the full bottle in, 3.6L roughly. Since then it just has been leaking, so i ran an rubber hose to the top of the engine bay, so most of the time this is enough to stop it. It hasn't and now i'm considering changing to another type of gear box fluid as it sh*ts me to tears. anyone had simular problems? cause its meant to be good stuff. Anyone got/had simular problems? Thanks in advance
  3. Ok the above instruction should be made a sticky!!!!! perfect and easy to follow, apart from the 30min lol took over an hour but easy considering nissan wanted all up 100 bucks to fit it so the part costed $80 gen from nissan and a little bit of mucking around and everything was done. Big thank u to CHRIS ROGERS, with out u it would be over 2 hrs lmao thanks once again
  4. I done my research and ran an extended line into the engine bay. I no that the gear box need to breath, so will it be ok if it's under the engine bay?
  5. Thanks will try to do it on the weekend
  6. Boys i gotta say a simple question like how much oil in your 5speed and only 1 response (2 in thread) Thanks action dan
  7. $82 from nissan it could be worse i guess. (dumb mistakes cost $$$$) autobarhn said something like 60 buck for non gen part that they will have to match up lol ILL keep everyone posted how to chnage it once i work it out
  8. Mate is there a techinque in removing it? Cause I'm scared to pull on it?
  9. I would agree 100%, don't go out and pay big buck for a good alarm and then be stingy on the installation. I would say 75% of good alarms aren't installed properly. I got a viper and can't complain so I guess it's good. mine is set to ultra sensitive so sometimes I get a few false alarms in the pager LOL When I was buying I looked on eBay and found USA sellers for cheap but now currency exchange has changed, but buy local u pay more but it's a hassel if something isn't right
  10. Sorry yer it's a series 1 r33. Thanks will try and get it done asap. Btw is the a way I cAn try fix this one? Cause it didn't break it just bent and now won't go down all the way! I'm tempted to help it with a hammer, cause if I have to change it, it can't damage anything can it?
  11. hey guys I had this problem not long ago 400 bucks for a nissan motor taught me an expensive lesson. I guess cheaper than getting a defect lmao Anyways there are like 3 different switches that r for a 33. If u do a search it is a very common problem!! Wats happens is that the motor and switch burn out because of the auto function down, so next time your window is down make sure u put it up 3mm so the motor isn't constantly on, cause u r gonna have the same problem. Go to nissan give them your vin and they will tell wat type u need to search for then at least when u go looking u no wat to buy:)
  12. Where to I get an mast from, and how do I pull the old one out? Thanks in advance
  13. thanks guys!!!!! i was wondering if SAU has its own track days too? i remeber doing a sid pad day with driver dynamics it was pretty good!!
  14. hey i'm pretty new to here and i was wondering when is the next track day in the eastern suburbs (hopefully). I have a race helmet and thats pretty much it for safety, and car is rwc. I'm not a member (paid up lol) of any car clubs and don't have a cams liscence. i was wondering where everyone goes for there track days and an approximate cost. I would class myself as a average driver even though i spend all week in the dandy mountains lol. car is pretty much close to stock except for a few mods, so i'm wondering if anything should be done specifically before i go. if anyone can piont me in the right direction for more info it would be great and providing it would be even better
  15. (There is a post half way down this thread from Chris Rogers which explains how to fit a new one - razor$harp). The Other day I bent my power arial, however I didn't break it. It now doesn't go up or down all the way and really drives me crazy! Now I was wondering if I should change the whole unit? Anyone had a similar problem? How do u remove the power arial out of the car?
  16. K thanks, however has anyone had a similar problem? Cause I'm considering putting in another type of fluid but the box itself feels really good using the light weight shockproof RedLine stuff. Not sure but is there an simple explanation? Some tell me to only pour 3L in! Anyone no wat Nissan reccomend?
  17. anyone can tell me at least how much oil they put in? is it worth installing a catch can? any ideas or suggestions? it only happens after hard core thrashing!!!
  18. hey mate PM me if u got any front hubs. thanks
  19. yer its the 5 speed turbo, NOT A GTR or auto is it ok to fill it via the shifter? because i was reading that gtr can't because of the transfercase, is that right?
  20. about 3000km ago i recently changed the gearbox oil to redline lightweight shock proof (smurfs blood) in my r33 turbz. i started to get a bit of fluid coming out of the breather valve, i'm pretty sure. so i ran a rubber hose to the top of the engine bay. its been a while and i'm still getting a little bit of fluid coming out of the hose and onto the engine bay. the bolt on the side of the gear box has been taken off, and got the correct amount of oil in it. and nothing extra came out of the breather valve. approx close to the full bottle of fluid went in, about 3.5L i think and was poured in through the shifter inlet, inside the car. Now anyone got a simular problem? any advice. i want to place the rubber hose somewhere else as i'm stick of taking the oil off the engine however i'm trying to work out if everything is normal.
  21. so no-one knows this question it would make life a lot easier in future for all those people who look under the search function
  22. hey mate u got the drivers side hub? i just need the part where the bearing sits
  23. hey i want the driver's side hub (my bearing is stuffed). How much u want for it?
  24. it turns out that a piece of metal (it touched) blew the fuse and the rca cables too. glad thats solved
  25. hey i just thought that it would be a good idea to get a page going about the aftermarket tie rods. Nissan wants 150 each I got an r33 gtst (rwd) and i simply got the ones for the GTR 33 and they fit fine (just an random try cause i couldn't get any other ones). The supplier was roadsafe and they are listed at Bursons (but i got them from autobarhn). At pedders they got 3 listings, however they don't no which ones are for wat. 95 long 12mm 101 long 12mm 101 long 14mm there is nothing on the search engine i could find as most people once they solve the issue just leave it. Aftermarket tie rods cost about 20-30 bucks each which is way cheaper. If anyone knows which ones are for wat it will help others that are stuck too *i think my ones were the 14mm 101 long*
