  1. Yeah, they better! What kind of pool hall runs out of mixed nuts??? Jeez...Btw, we went to a pool hall in Nishinomiya somewhere, and parked at a "24 Times" parking lot, where we happened upon this: Z10 Nissan Cube, completely standard apart from those stickers... :headspin:
  2. Troy... I had you mate.... until I started sinking YOUR balls... Still, serves me right for trying to show off! Bah! Re-match next Friday night I say.

Yeeeees... I was wondering when some juicy info about Japanese police would pop up? But "eigo-jin"... haha priceless
  4. Alright, I'll upload it again late tonight, but if I go over my bandwidth quota for the month, ALL my pics will disappear...
  5. Well done! I like this pic: Forgetting L.A. for a moment, is drift popularity in the US on par with Oz? Of course theres more people in the US, but per capita?
  6. Astounding... I mean for a moment there, I though you might've had some background information into the twisted psyche of the average Bosozoku/Yanki... Ta.The Yanki are just trying to out do other Yanki, what with the outrageous modifications and all. Show off factor maybe? About the only mod that has any credit would be the oilcooler hanging out the front of the car, as this was widely used in the GTS racing category in the early 70's. Alot of the mods (flared arches, front splitters etc) were more or less racing mods back in the 70's, and the Yanki have just taken them out of proportion. The upturned exhausts are for maximum loudness (remember, these guys are tools) and some of them can spit flame, so once again, they're going for show-off/nuisance supremacy. Some of the mods are over the top, so I hope you can figure how these guys think from looking at those horrid Toyota TownAces alone... But yeah, they're good for nothing tools most of the time, and they need suitable bosozoku (violent racing clan) type cars to back up their mentality!! Did I flame 'em enough???:flamed: **Edit: Heres a link to a game called "The Super Fast Friends Car King BU" which, just by looking at the pics alone and realizing someone can market and actually make money from this, should make people realize that Yanki are a force to be made fun of...
  7. No offence, but that link is repost x3 on SAU...
  8. Nah... good on you Gary! Go the different route. I kinda agree with Troy though, there isn't much to say about the Cedric/Glorias. I did take a pic of one in the Photo Diary which had HUUUUUGE wheels and looked awesome, but theres little else going for them.

    how easy?

You won't wanna lug a clutch around with you throughout your trip, so I guess leave buying anything until you get to Tokyo. When you're in Tokyo, why don't you arrange to hook up with Andrew aka akeenan in Chiba (well, close enough!) and go to Crystal or Up Garage? Troy and I could help you score a clutch pretty cheaply, but like I say, you'll be lugging that thing around for half your trip...
  10. Corvette + RB26DETT = Brilliant engine hooked up to a live rear axle with leaf springs 'n 4-speed auto... Heheh, the older Vettes anyway. Japan + US = Ghey, IMO.
  11. Geez, they really piled on the details didn't they...

They're only compromising already compromised aerodynamics... (ie: having the lights on top).Anyways, I believe having a flap there to direct wind over the lights actually helps rather than compromises. I remember one guy who said that that flap thingy was there so that a head-up display could reflect back info to the driver of the cop car...

Thats a wind deflector... it breaks the flow of wind so that those siren thingies on top of the roof don't get blown off at high speed.

Yeah ^^^^ what he said...Don' t forget our poor Korean friends, they can be 3rd generation born in Japan, but still be regarded as "gaijin" ie: no Japanese passport. But yeah, white/black people stand out the most in Japan, so they're whats stereotypical "gaijin".
  16. I don't believe they come with center caps... Work Emotion CR

    The New GT-R...!!!

No... they can't release anymore *SR20 or RB25/26* turbos because of emissions and that those particular engines were at the end of their development cycle (read: blood old engines - new technology has to be implemented regardless of what we think). But yes, nothing really new has come out regarding the engine since this thread.
  18. Dave, they look great against the Bayside Blue... you look like a Sunday racer now! Mmmm, Up Garage in Sydney.... now THERES a business opportunity....

...yep, same situation as far as understanding what they say goes. That 80,000 yen though was pegged at that price to scare the crap out of my mate (which it did!) but he contested it at the Police station later with some suitable back-up... his Japanese father in law! Apparently he didn't have to pay it all, and the Police where "lucky to get away with their jobs" as his dad in law said after...

    Japanese Police

Ooooooh, the only occaision where I got pulled over was in a friends car. He was doing 140-ish (?) in an 80 zone and the cop basically pulled us over with him s-c-r-e-a-m-i-n-g down the PA at us (alot of cops use a PA to "politely" ask the motorist to pull over in a *specific* place eg: just past the gas stand infront of that homeless persons cardboard mansion... heheh). Anyway, my mate got out of the car, and the cop aready knew he was dealing with a gaijin, so that just made him speak Japanese even faster :thumbdwn:, my mate was struggling to keep up. To cut a long story short, he got fined 80,000 yen for that little misdemeanor, and they apparently upped the fine because he wasn't wearing a shirt! (hey, it was summer!) Aaaaah Japan... I do love it here.
  21. A-hehehehehe! ....No.
