  1. Only in Australia... :bahaha:
  2. Enjoy, Hakujin... It's a pity you weren't coming round my way, I'd hook up with you definately.
  3. Osaka: Nanko (street) and Mt Rokko (Mountain) drifting... you'll need a car to see both. Tuning Shops: Trial (South Osaka), Signal Auto (as per S15silvias post), J's Racing, and C-West in Nishinomiya (near my house!) halfway between Osaka and Kobe. Theres more but that should keep you busy... Tokyo: I've only been there once, for the 2001 Auto Salon, so I'm not up to speed with the drift scene there, but maybe DaiOni or Demon Dave can help you out more?
  4. Which part of Japan are you heading to?
  5. Sounds like she did 10 months worth of work @ $350/week, and didn't get a cent...:?:
  6. What, speak English? I "dig" your English meaning "it`s cool".
  7. Scandinavian Skyline massive represent! Light up those rears right in the middle of a mall!!! ...I dig your English too Klaus...
  8. Very, very nice! Both silver too! Now you just need a 34...
  9. Thats what I`m thinking...
  10. I'm no Mugen expert, but Hirotoshi's father founded Honda Motor Co, and Hirotoshi wanted his own business, so the Mugen-Honda relationship is a family one. As for ownership, I'm sure a shitload of Honda money is in Mugen, how much though, I'm not sure. Honda cancelled it's funding for it's F1 engines in 1992, and Mugen picked up the F1 left-overs and started the Mugen-Honda F1 engine supplier.
  11. Aparently, Mugen Honda gets money just by scoring F1 Championship points. They've got 4 or wins to their name (don't ask me, thats what they said on the news) and for a win, you get a substantial amount. Mugen wasn't declaring their cut.
  12. I dunno. All I know now is that taxation department guys turned the offices upside down collecting financial records. Honda-san is like fully disgraced.
  13. Mugen gear might be worth a bit down the track if they go under...
  14. Start buying your Mugen goods - keychains, t-shirts, umbrellas, that sort of shit now, coz it may not be around for much longer!
  15. Hirotishi Honda, head of Mugen Co. has been accused of evading 1,000,000,000yen in taxes. A commision has been assembled to gather details of how the company has "absorbed" profits from their F1 division in paticular, and the rest of the company. The lucrative F1 business has been the primary source of the unpaid taxes. The unpaid taxes have been used to buy property and other assets. I'll keep you posted on further developments. /Rezz (druken spelling mistakes edit!)

    The New GT-R...!!!

    >YBSLO4: Do you have that issue of Wheels with the GT-R in it? Could you post up some of the article if you have it? I'm a badger I know, but I`d love to see what they have to say...
  17. Very nice work. IMHO now you just need a set of Aero Mirrors, and a front Chin spoiler and your done!
  18. ...and played out! When you start seeing Veilside (or whatever) stuff on VT Commodores, I think it`s time to move on... I saw one on a VT in Perth in `98, back then Veilside was done to death.

    The New GT-R...!!!

No one said it was the finished version, but that said, I'd love to see the Wheels pics!
  21. I think the new one looks good. Then again, I've never liked the 4 indicator/driving lights on the Type M bar...
  22. >Ryosuke: Where did you hear that? No offence, I've heard some waaaaay out claims for all the successors to the Supra, NSX, GT-R, RX-7, and Lexus, but eg: Nissan using the R390 engine in the new GT-R? How on earth are they gonna get that to meet emmissions laws? And same with the 4-rotor? All the new sportscars are gonna have all new eco-friendly engines. It sounds boring but thry're all gonna have the same or more power than their predecessors, and be lighter aswell. I've got an NSX pic, but it was all CG, so I didn't put it up. But on that note, I have a friend working in Honda, and as soon as something breaks, I'll let you guys know. Incidently, a garage called "Scoot Sports" have been working on an NA 4-rotor engine (2 12A's with a common crank) to put in an FD3S, they want to get it to 325km/h, no turbo, no Nos, street trim.

    The New GT-R...!!!

Check out that link Demon Dave pointed out, gtst88. But as far as being a mechanic is concerned, it's not worth it (moneywise - you get paid bugger-all compared to an English Teacher) unless you specifically wanted the experience. I while ago, I heard that a foreigner was working at Trial in Osaka, but I could be wrong there. My advice is just e-mail one of the bigger garages (theres bound to be someone who understands English) and just try and shimmy a contract for 3 months or something...
  24. Yep, RX01. I was wondering how many people remembered it? Well, they say Mazda are gonna show it in Tokyo in October, and it really looks like they haven't changed much since '96 RX01, except give it a "Family face"... and a new engine.
  25. There are newer one on the "The New GT-R..." thread.
