  1. I'll be proudly wearing SAU's uber-coolness Trucker Hat to TAS '05:
  2. :wavey: It's a burnt chicken nugget
  3. 6 out of 6 things I've bought on Yahoo have been exactly what the seller has listed/photographed. I guess I must be lucky then...
  4. I'll add them to my growing list of innacurate "near enough is good enough... they'll still buy the mag!" tell-a-few-porkies-for-more-sales crap Aussie enthusaist mags.
  5. I'd get one but is there any way you can remove the "Melbourne" logo? You Melbourne wierdos always dump on Perth so I'd rather not be seen sporting anything with Smellbourne on it. Seen? *edit: theres no Melbourne logo is there... oh sh!t...
  6. But back on topic, me and Troy have "tech days", usually him watching me slice my fingers apart for no particular reason while installing all manner of gadgets. We've/I've done: 2-DIN car audio and speakers, air filter, strut brace, intercooler, front lip, rear spoiler, wheels and tyres, center console... all done in public carparks aswell! We're in Osaka though so chances of meeting up are slim.
  7. You haven't read the thread have you?
  8. I don't know! Ask Google!
  9. Well done guys... this thread should go in the DIY section.
  10. Aaah you're talking about the PGC-10 GT-R aren't you? If you are, it was released in 1969 (not '64) and it had an S20 DOHC inline-6 (not 4 cyl.)
  11. Yep, more or less... but Silvia K's, Q's and J's are model names, as you say Q's and J's both came with SR20DEs so the model name is more of and "overall vehicle spec for the layman" type definition rather than the chassis code/VIN which goes into MUCH more detail.
  12. GH-V35 = 2.5L sedanGH-HV35 = 3.0L sedan UA-PV35 = 3.5L sedan UA-CPV35 = 3.5L coupe (only 1 engine avail.) So going by that, a "V35" Skyline means it's a 2.5L V6! An "HV35" Skyline is a 3.0L V6 and so on... As for your 2nd question, you have to remember that the "***V35" Skyline is a completely new generation of Skyline, so it doesn't carry the "R" designation anymore. As it has been said in many a Japanese BBS forum, Skyline enthusiasts shouldn't make a connection with the "R" series Skylines anymore, because even as good as they were, they are in actual fact obsolete technology and hence cannot be updated (or continuation of the family line can't happen). A similar thing happened when the C210 Skyline changed to the R30 series...
  13. Yes, thats essentially it. The US Infiniti "G35" (coupe) is a model name, so shouldn't be confused with the chassis code "[uA-CP]V35" (coupe). You could actually say "V35 Infinti G35"... but there would just be too much confusion and/or explaining for US peeps to handle I think. So G35 for the US delivered version. Other than that, I think there are slight trim differences (ie: shape of the seats/headrests, fabrics, soundsystem specs, colours etc) and of course the badging. Everything else is practically the same.
  14. Very, very cheap call there... (considering I didn't say the RD28 was an RB)
  15. 3rd of December release for Japan.
  16. Alright, but our man Guilty was saying that the V in "V"35 meant it had a VQ35DE... So to make it easy for Guilty, the "E" in ECR33/34 means 2.5L RB25? And the "H" in H*R32 means 2.0L RB20? I dare say the RB20E R33 Skyline was dubbed HR33? *checks Car Sensor* yep... HR33 = RB20E.
  17. Btw, R31 Skylines ran the RB20 series engines in Japan (a diesel engine too).
  18. Ok here goes... and I hope you don't lose your car! Who ever said that Nissan designates the 1st letter of the chassis code after the engine? The Z33 Failady Z/350Z wasn't called a "V"33 because it's not a Skyline... the first letters of the chassis code are different for different models even though they carry the same engine. What you said about the S13/14/15 Silvias and 180SXs isn't correct either, because the S13 Silvia (turbo) was first released with the infamous CA18DET, not the SR20DET. Final point: the engine code may have some bearing on the chassis code designation, but you answered your own question regarding this because if Nissan did indeed use the 1st letter of the engine code as the 1st letter of the chassis code, then we'd have a "V"33 350Z wouldn't we?! To answer your mate, NO... there is no R35!!! If he has access to some secret Nissan insider info that I don't know about this, please get him to PM me!
  19. A place called "Final Motion" does them, but it seems their homepage is down. The R32 GT-R Carbon kevlar front lip spoilers go for 68,000 yen
  20. Geebus keerist, I can get a carbon kevlar one for that money. Mind you the waiting list is about 3 months

    Whoretown Japan....

Tell me about... sometimes they stare at you like they want you to die or something... or get out of Japan whichever comes first! It's sad, and just in the last couple of days I've decided when I definately leave these small, curious, irritating but wonderful islands.
  24. Depends on what you class as "reasonably new"... you'd most likely see (in Osaka) those old black non-flatscreen TVs lying about, say 50cm screen... that type of thing. Silver flatscreens are still worth something so it's unlikely that you'll see them on the street. Plasmas? Hahaha...
